I don't think he sees it as an important topic to address. He cares more about things like economy and national security

I agree. However, I think many people assume that he is ant-gay marriage (on both sides, Republicans and Democrats) since he has strong relations with the faith community. Franklin Graham is talking tonight. President Trump has also spoken at Liberty University.

Trump is not playing to an audience and saying what the audience wants to hear the way the left does

Many people assume many things. all kinds of things. if a person only watches the liberal media, they will assume Trump is a lying, crazy, war mongering, certifiable, destroyer of the US

Assuming is never a good idea

isn't it great that a person can change their mind? the Democrats are not the party they used to be, having moved so far left as to almost meet themselves in the middle

it would seem Trump decided to make something he could stick with ;)

"It's like in golf. A lot of people -- I don't want this to sound trivial -- but a lot of people are switching to these really long putters, very unattractive. It's weird. Trump totally supports gay marriage. I heard him comment on that on The Apprentice, before he had a legitimate shot politically, and before he decided to be the darling of the "Christian" right. Probably around 2010. I wish I had the actual clips (not that it matters-- nothing on this forum will change anyone's mind). Basically he said:. if you want to be gay, that is your business. You can marry a man or woman, you can marry a tree for all he cares. One person likes steak, another person likes Chinese food.

I will probably get butchered on the internet for not having any sources, but so what. I saw it, and I will share it. I'm allowed to do that.

I don't see that it would be politically expedient for President Trump to voice his opinion on gay marriage at this time. He knows it is legal now in America and yet as a Christian he also knows that God does not condone marriage between the same sex. It wouldn't do him any good to voice his personal opinion when gay marriage is a matter of law. Man's, not God's.
Why give the intolerant LGBTQ community an opportunity to assail our President if he voiced his Biblical view on gay marriage? We have enough rioters and domestic terrorists acting the fool now.

I don't think Trump is nearly as conservative as he pretends to be. I think he just jumped on that bandwagon because he knew smooching the hineys of the religious right would win him the presidency

Of course you're allowed. You're also entitled to skip over post #7 wherein one year after The Apprentice show in 2010 and five years before Trump threw his hat in the ring to run for President he commented in a gentle way concerning his view on gay marriage.
And you're also entitled to overlook that he banned Trans people from our military. Trans people are gay, btw.

The transgender ban is not really a ban; they are not discharged from the military. It is more of a don't ask, don't tell; they can still serve but in the gender they were born.

You're right. Ideally Trump should have stood up against same-sex marriage, but it is now a lost cause. America is in danger of being destroyed, and that is where his focus should be. And national security should have translated into action in American cities being devastated by domestic terrorists.

Trump is nominating (Conservative) Justices, 300+ expected by the Jan 2021

Your 100% correct, the gay issue would add just another false narrative into the liberals production of lies, it's about issues leading into the Nov 3rd Coronairus, Chaos In The Streets, Defund The Police, China, Economy.

The democrats are dropping like a rock in the pollls, the RNC convention scored a victory in their presentation, out of a top score of 10 they received a 15

even if I didn't care for him I would still vote for him if I could

IMO Biden is nothing but a front for what is working up the ranks behind him...people are calling him a Trojan horse

If you really evaluate the situation, the violence and chaos is a big campaign speech for the Trump campaign.

It's the Democratic Governor's responsibility to ask for federal help.

If Trump marched in full force with federal troops, the Democrats would turn it into Trump pushing a police state, exactly what the Democrats want, are you blind to this fact :)

Trump is playing his Nov 3rd re-election perfectly, the evil is on the Democrats, and Donald J. Trump is the future answer for law and order.

Last night Joe Biden came out for the first time to denounce the violence and chaos, as he's dropping in the pollls.

Once again, the Democrats want President Trump to invade their States, so the cries in a Fake News Narrative of the Trump (Police State) and dictatorship will be their theme.

Trump is on the conservative bandwagon because it represents historical America

It represents National Security in a strong military

It represents Economic Strength against foreign powers opposed to individual freedoms and democracy.

The Democratic platform opposes all the afore mentioned, simple.

If Trump supported homosexuality and Same Sex Marriage, his Supreme Court Justice Nominations would have reflected this, they don't.
