Are you really basing doctrine on a poetic device? The context of that poem makes it clear that 53:2 is hyperbole especially since immediately after it references God's people in contrast to the wicked it is speaking of in 53:1-4. It really shows poor exegetical skills when you treat every bit of Biblical literature as if it is the same type of literature. Recognizing the genre and the types of devices employed within that genre are critical to getting an accurate understanding.
No one understands the doctrine of Christ by their own entelect. Romans 3:10-12 is referencing the same thing, and if I am not mistaken, Paul is applying it to the Jews and the gentiles. We are all guilty of being in that state of mind, before being quickened.

People are complaining about getting a thumb down or disagree? AGAIN? That is what is childish, in fact it is petulant and childish.

The even funnier thing? @lenna hasn't been here long, and has given out "disagrees" (those horrendous "Red X's" ) 3 to 1. Actually MORE than 3 to 1! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And she's complaining? :ROFL::LOL::ROFL::LOL::ROFL::LOL::ROFL::LOL::ROFL::LOL::ROFL::LOL::ROFL:

Thats what I just said. Calvin doesn't teach anyone how to be a Christian.

But if a Saved person studies Calvinism they will find out that it is scriptural. You just have to change your immature carnal thoughts into spiritual mature Christian thoughts.

This is another Calvinist tactic................. apparently someone used on you at some point, making one think they do not understand

scripture and unable to accept the hard truths of scripture when in fact that is not the problem................. the problem is the system you

are imposing on scripture.

I find the art of going out of your way to target people to be typical of a certain type of mentality that has displayed itself as being unable to hold up its end of the conversation, so it resorts to the usual mockery and fake mirth

well, since you can't put people to death like your mentor when he wanted someone to shut up, I guess that is how you illustrate what you have in your heart but just cannot physically enact

I seldom use any x's these days, except for the little run I just had on the person who started it all for no reason, but I do show likes and so on

just so when it gets back that I x also, I really don't, except for the exception just mentioned in keeping with a certain verse in
Proverbs

if you are referring to me, that is a lie

unless you have 2 accounts?
Hmmm. You forget which account you're using? Freudian slip? BTW, I don't lie. Now, which account did you THINK you were using because I'm referring to the "lenna" account.

And no, I don't "know" you've been here "4 years."

Oh, I took screenshots of the amount of red x's you put out. In fact you just randomly gave @Jimbone 5 of them.

Sane heads? You mean those you follow that ridicule, mock, belittle? Yep.

That's not exactly what I said. That's what you said. But here's your scripture;

Romans 9:22-24
21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:

23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,

24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?
Response:

32 For God has bound everyone over to disobedience so that He may have mercy on them all.

Romans 11:32

So tell me are you being deceptive with scripture always using Romans 9:22 and avoiding Romans 11:32 or do you not know the scripture?

You mean He forces regeneration.

yes. believing that a person is regenerated BEFORE salvation would entail exactly that

I can actually see where a person might disagree about the meaning of some verses or even passages

but when scripture clearly and pointedly without exception states plainly that a person accepts Christ first and THEN receives the Holy Spirit, it is IMPOSSIBLE to conclude with any clarity of understanding, that anyone is regenerated utterly devoid of any say in the matter

God does not act against our will as is illustrated in BOTH testaments

you took screenshots? oh my lands. get a life

not bothering to respond to your creeper nonsense . will be glad to respond to actual dialogue with you but not holding my breath

Deflection.

You know if you just relinquished your Calvinist dogma you not need resort to this.

Maybe you have run out of scriptures, since there are only a handful taken out of context, that you mistakenly think support your dogma.

Really?

What do you think those scriptures say?

They seem abundantly clear and obvious to me.
The Scriptures you shared are ambiguous at best. Romans 9:22 states “What if”. It’s a hypothetical.

On another note, and not that you care, but I respect you for having the dignity to attempt to answer questions unlike preacher4heresy who hides from the light then bloviates to his comrades about his moral compass and intellectual superiority.

really, we don't know what a 'calvinist' 'IS, stands for" - and we don't CARE' =
we associate ourselves with our Master=our Father in Heaven and His Son, Jesus Christ'...
why in the world would anyone want to associate themselves with 'dead men'???

Any person with a grain of salt worth of common sense can read the bible and see Calvin was false....regardless of the version.

God would have ALL MEN.....not just Calvinists

Creation and the invisible testifies so no lost man is without excuse

Jesus paid the sin debt OF the WHOLE WORLD

And God love
Yes.

If being blessed means that God Forced that blessing upon you, then yes, He forces it.

Especially considering that you weren't able to Bless your own self by your own works or your own wisdom or your own will.
Here, perhaps is the fallacy, thinking regeneration is a blessing and not a gift. When it is a blessing therefore you had some part of it, remember, in the O.T. of the blessing and the cursing depends on obedience or disobedience. However, a gift is a gift (salvation)given to you, either you accept it or reject it.

Its not like Calvin is teaching me how to be a Christian. He's been dead for awhile.

I became a Christian and then studied theology. I found Calvinism to resonate with scripture and with my experience with God.

If you take all your pride and all your emotionalism out of the equation and just study scripture you will find perfect harmony in what Calvinism teaches. Generally.
Listen pal....I do study and Calvinism is a cult from the pits of hell....it is not even close to being biblical and all that peddle it's drivel are as false as they come and will pay the price when they stand before God as a false teacher!

Umm..... sorry but this is also contradictory, Calvin is dead he does not teach you how to be a Christian and yet you found Calvinism to

resonate with scripture?
The only thing it resonates with is The likes of Joseph Smith, Charles Russell, Ellen White, Jim Jones and a few others of like caliber and order!

I am pretty sure pride and emotionalism have no bearing.

You think all of us who have studied scripture and do not see the tenets of Calvinism are filled with pride and emotionalism?

I will say that a Calvinist will always has their conversion experience fit the Calvinistic model.

It typically goes like this (I have read quite a few).... "all of sudden I was regenerated"
Some even state they did not hear the Gospel first.
And this last point proves the evil of Calvinism....NO ONE is or ever will be saved without hearing and RESPONDING to the gospel and yet recently we had 2 that stated such drivel and the main peddler of that evil on this thread, coddled, embraced, suckled and made a proselyte out of one of them instead of laying the truth bare.

When I was a child,we had good sisters from churches come round and take us to VBS

I was exposed to Jesus and His love through these times,my parents weren't believers.

When I was 18,the Holy Ghost brought conviction into my heart about the life I was living.( His work)

For two years I resisted and grieved Him by rebelling and refusing the gift of salvation.

One day the burden was so strong that I felt I might die if I didn't repent and accept Jesus as my Saviour.

I don't know what came first regeneration or faith but it was by faith that I accepted the grace of God and believed in His beloved Son's gift for my sins.

He saved me by the conviction of the Holy Ghost, not a man's teaching nor doctrine .

Salvation is the work of God,the Father,Jesus, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Without this no man can be saved!
