Of course you do!I disagree with your and a few others interpretation of these scriptures.
I am also a disciple of Jesus in this 21 st century....a good tree cannot bear bad fruit.

Yes they can. It is because they were already well rooted, that they do not sway if and when persecution comes. So we should get rooted in the Word of God to be ready for whatever comes. There are many ways God uses believers, some through death even, but not all.
Is forgiveness listed with the FRUIT of the Spirit?Jesus is the example. Christ Crucified. Persecution for Him was an opportunity to forgive and that's what he came for. Then Steven followed Jesus they hated him too his testimony enraged them. He asked that their sin not be held against them.
I think the fruit is Saul becomes Paul. Saul was a key player against Steven authorizing his death. Ouch! That's a big log.The first martyr asked the Father to not hold it against him. Obviously that prayer was heard.
The first Christians rejoiced when persecuted. It's Grace to wash one's robes in the blood of Christ.
Put those words together and it would make a great username for all the cultists.she skipped right over it
What would you tell Him?I couldn't look up at Jesus nailed to the cross and tell Him that.
Please can you weigh in on the need for persecution as necessary to bear fruit of the Spirit, I would appreciate your thoughts.
Thank you
Which thread? For instance a user on here from yesterday who I am sure is banned now came on here and he was a Jewish person, He made a thread and posted his post, in all honesty I could not understand the point he was trying to make in itbut when his point was question or disagreed with he instantly made attacks while lifting himself up, he laimed that by disagreeing we were the children of the devil and made false accusation of people and when I corrected him about all this he said I was twisting words and speaking the serpents tongue or whatever.
This is a very obvious example of the fruits that are not of Christ the spirit of accusation pointing fingers while elevating yourself
I feel persecuted by calvinists.I am not saying persicution is the only way to grow in him but it does have it's benefits
We are not talking about persecution causing the outward growth of believers, but rather some here trying to add it to the list and force it to Grow The FRUIT OF THE SPIRITYour comment caused me to recall what Tertullian wrote concerning persecution,
”The oftener we are mown down by you, the more in number we grow; the blood of Christians is seed.”
(Apology, 50.13)
It is from this statement of his that the popular phrase, “The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church,” is derived.
The SPIRIT IS THE SOURCE OF FRUIT....not persecution!
Perhaps you could actually engage and make a case for you "suffering" dogma for becoming "Holy"
I will be waiting.
Put those words together and it would make a great username for all the cultists.
I would say that persecution is the result of the world hating us for our stance.....If they shall beat and kill the master, what shall they do to the servant.
Is enduring persecution listed with the FRUIT of the Spirit?
I will also make a point....Fruit in and of itself dows not necessarily = singular.....I.E. A bowl on the table with apples, oranges and pears is still called a Bowl of Fruit! <-singular yet = 3 kinds
It is impossible to logically discuss the truth with anyone that will deny context, embellish the word, reject the definitions of words while refusing to acknowledge the truth just because it comes from a source you don't like.......it amazes me how some can just make up context as they go for the sake of argument and or a refusal to acknowledge given truth!
But.....what can you learn from being persecuted?
Through persecution you can learn to Love and produce fruit.....which comes from God....100% agree with that...do you agree or disagree?
Quote one verse in context that states verbatim that persecution produces LOVE in a believer!
The fruit OF the SPIRIT <--LOOK the word OF up in GREEK...it can be TRANSLATED OF or FROM and BOTH indicate source
LOVE IS OF GOD.....NOT persecution.....US enduring persecution is because of who we are and what we already POSSESS
Yes the spirit of God love peace and joy are the source the fruits are the results. just as A tree is the source of the fruits it bearsQuote one verse in context that states verbatim that persecution produces LOVE in a believer!

Yes manifested that is a very good word to use in this contextYou aren’t understanding my question......Love can be manifested in us through being persecuted....the Love of God.
So disagree with you post.
