Again you are taking my post completely out of context.....your behaviour is worrying..it’s degrading to some...who aren’t strong enough to stand up to you.

Your behaviour on this site at times is disgraceful.....you bully people..so does your mate.

Now carry on....I have made my point....and like the not by works thread....I am leaving this one..no more from me...

You and your mob rule on most threads.
See, you say I take you wrong, when in fact you take me wrong....I am not seeking for you to stand up to me whatsoever at all....I have fully engaged you several times in a decent manner and then with a little heat trying to get you to OPEN YOUR EYES....I have not misled you or even tried to offend you on purpose.....you read in anger or attitude when none is present and then you allow a Calvinist to whisper in your ear and turn you against those that have been trying to open your eyes.....!

Hey Jack listen I don't know you and I have no desire for debate, but please prayerfully consider that Calvinism in essence is a heart-breaking unbiblical doctrine that originates in relatively recent history. The original meanings of scripture do not support it but verses are being twisted to fit their doctrine. It's a wicked doctrine trust me it's a deception.
I won't be getting into any arguments on here it's too stressful but please pray about it ✝️

God bless
100% agree

You missed the point...if I want to avoid a person I do not go post on a thread they are active on.

You have chosen false teaching without careful examination ...but your choice.

I have done no such thing......throwing false accusations once again.......read your posts and dc.

You haven’t read my posts properly.....your in such a rush to accuse me....anyway I will leave you to it.

Actually telling me who I listen to and believe.....that is a joke...it really is.

I suggest you read posts thoroughly and absorb what is being said......I doubt that will happen..because you two have been twisting and turning posts..for over two months now....

Telling me what I believe..when I have categorically said the opposite...I give up!.

Pelagianism, semi-Pelagianism, Arminianism, these ism’s you propagate were labeled heresy by the church fathers on which you stand.
The funny thing is, most of the usual suspects on here railing against the doctrine of grace attend a church who’s doctrinal statement affirms election. Less of course they attend some snake handling, prosperity cult 😆

The things butterflyyy stated to you are untrue, unsubstantiated nonsense. It didn't come about in relatively recent history as these teachings are in the early church.

Now, her and their teachings are most certainly later developments of error that crept into the church and corrupted the gospel. The teachings of choose yourself into heaven which came from the likes of Charles G. Finney and others some 150 years ago, give or take is that corrupt gospel. It is "decisional regeneration." He taught salvation is achieved just like choosing a career. That is blasphemous and against the true gospel.

Notice not one of these accusers can actually prove anything we believe to be false with proper use of Scripture? Notice their fruit? Their walk?

Even @Nehemiah6 has joined their band, quoting Calvin out of context, missing what he was saying by miles, then uses out of context Scripture to bash and accuse. These people spend more time reading Calvin than any "Calvinist" I know, including this "Calvinist."

All they can do is make a few false accusations, straw man arguments, throw in some emotions, ridicule, jeer &c. When it comes down to proving anything? Well they can't which is why she doesn't want to "argue" because that excuses her from offering proof and allows her to keep making false accusations unchecked.

I will back up and own everything I say on here.

Proving herself or owning herself for agreeing I'm headed to hell is just too difficult! Instead she'll just keep making false statements because obviously that is easy for her, not difficult at all.

Remember a plant only takes up the nutrients that are according to its character, then look at what these plants feed on. I got this bit of wisdom from MLJ, "The Doctor" as they called him. A most excellent bible expositor from Wales.

Yep.

Hypocritically many would ridicule a CoF, while their own church has one as well! but they've never thought to think that far ahead. This document is typically shallow theologically, probably has errors of some sort, they must agree to it to be members, and they call it their "Statement of Faith."

Agree, it is not "relatively recent history"........ John Calvin was heavily influenced by Augustine of Hippo (354 -430 AD) and much of his dogma can be directly correlated.

Rest assured no one believes Calvinism is the "doctrine of Grace" except for Calvinists.

And that is correct no 'isms" are required.... in the end they are all error refuting error.

Once again you have completely taken my post out of context.

Show me where I supported.”GOD made some for hell”

Please show me where i supported that dc?
I encourage you to ask your Calvinist friends their honest take on this. Try to get the whole picture they paint, and then compare it with scripture.

I disagree..I felt special....and won’t deny that...in fact I felt more important than the Queen..when God Saved me.....my testimony.
Rightfully so. To be Christian is the greatest gift known to mankind, not known by all men but men of all kind

When the Lord saved me.....it was the greatest honour of my life... I do find it rather odd, that some others don’t feel that way..
One even told me they found my Love for the Lord gut wrenching.....and a member on this thread actually gave him a thumbs up on his post.....very,very,disturbing and worrying.
But as you say...not known by all men...........but men of “all kind”..........Praise Our Wonderful Father In Heaven!

The only one of those that was condemned by a council is Pelagianism, and rightfully so if Pelagius actually taught what he was accused of(though given that every time he defended himself he was found orthodox Augustine's characterization may not be trustworthy.)

What was condemned and used to prop up a charge of "semi-pelagianism" was a small monestary that was teaching that the baptismal waters themselves were effective in salvation. That is no where near what Calvinists tend to smear as semi-pelagianism, though.

Calvinist/reformed are quick to lob labels that don't actually address the points raised because the system is untenable but creating an out-group and an in-group strengthens group identity. So how about instead of drawing quick smears you actually engage with criticism of your position?

Not true, Arminian error was condemned as heresy at the Synod of Dort and rightfully so.
And Calvinist ideas were condemned at the council of Trent. Neither of those qualify as ecumenical councils considering the bias of their makeup.

"Quick smears" huh? As if the other side has engaged profitably. :sneaky:

Hmmmmm. Just wanted to point out some obvious things here:

1) One would have to overlook a whole lot of posts from "the other side" to come up with this rather weak accusation and single him out.

2) One would also have to overlook the times @NOV25 tried to engage rationally, only to become subject to ridicule. Well, this apparently happens to all who disagree with "the other side", as they become subjects of ridicule and mocking.

3) Therefore it is quite odd that the above post went along with "the other side" with no genuine or substantiated reason to do so, and just did so "out of the blue." The whole entire thing lacks credibility imho.

4) It is glaringly apparent "the other side" rarely, if ever, actually engages with rational, reasonable responses. Page after page after page testifies to this fact. Yet we have this thing nit-picked? Hmmm...

5) Even the assertion Arminianism wasn't declared a heresy is untrue in saids post.
