No, sorry my man, salvation isn't a choice, all men are not owed an opportunity, we are not saved via human will and decision, and so called Calvinism isn't logic, it's biblical.
Why do you keep adding the word "owed"?

Who claims anyone thinks they are OWED anything?

God chooses who he elects..we don’t choose him....to me that is such an honour to be chosen by God.

When I was saved....I felt honoured and more important than the Queen....seriously I did.
That's correct, he chose us unto salvation. We did receive him because we were born of God, John 1:12-13, all the glory goes to him. It's not that we "chose salvation" either, he chose us unto salvation. 2 Thessalonians 2:13. It is all Him. Keep the faith Sister, Jude 1:4. :)

I know very sad :(

It is just the wrong vantage point "going on and on" about how He does not owe.... who has stated He owes... no one.

I like this truth...............

“Jesus became what we are that we might become what he is.” Such is grace. Such is love.

We rejoice in what He chose to do, because He loved us that much... if He owed it to us there would be no Love.

I can use whatever terminology is fitting. And "owed" is fitting.

Like let's say some may teach God cannot be a God of love unless he gives the person an opportunity for salvation. If he sent them to hell by exercising justice instead without that then he could not be a God of love.

That is in essence saying people are owed that chance based upon some peoples criteria of what God must do.

Adam was made in God’s own image wasn’t he.?

So he must have been perfect and upright surely?
amen.

Which is why he did not need grace. HE earned his blessings

Adam and eve, in their unfallen state are the only humans to be able to not need grace to recieve the power and blessings of God.

Amen....I choose to follow him.....because there is no other way....God’s way is the only way.....there is no other way for me to go but to follow God.
but you still could have decided you did not want to, and still can. correct?

Behold, I have found only this, that God made men upright, but they have sought out many devices.”[Ecc. 7:29]

Upright does not mean perfect.

this is speaking of fallen man.

Adam in his perfect state was not fallen. He was more than just upright He was perfect. He at that point had neber broken any of Gods commands. Hence he met Gods standard.

Amen!

We received him because we were born of God. John 1:12-13. It doesn't say we were born of God because we chose him by our will, as some on here teach. The verses flat out deny we are born of God via choosing or human will, yet many on here keep teaching the exact opposite no matter that the text dogmatically refutes them. The passage gives the insight of why we are saved, and gives all glory to God!
Once again, Will you please stop.

No one here says they CHOSE GOD.

we have been through this why do you insist to keep insisting to insinuate we teach this?

I did stop going to church because of a bad experience in one.

But God has always been in my heart....I could never contemplate not following him....he is deep in my Soul/Spirit......without him I would surely die,x

Went back to church 6 months ago....I feel alive again in Christ...xx

You can trust your human understanding on this because it is not in scripture ...God does not love only some unto salvation and yet

hold men who had no choice accountable.
I know. You don’t think it’s fair. I get that. That was the point of my post. I’ll let God decide what is and isn’t fair. Not me.

Job should be required monthly reading to remind Christians that Gods ways are not our ways, and we should never presume for Him.

Martha is not saved because she reached out and accepted the gift. That empties the cross of its power. Martha is not saved because she did anything, but what God did for her through His Christ.

AMEN!![/QUOTE]
Amen?

Please tell me you do not believe this?

It does not empty the cross of the power.

Remember Jesus said he must be lifted up and as moses lifted up the seprent in the wilderness so must man be lifted up so that whoever believes.

The children of Israel had to chose in faith to look up at the serpent on the pole.. They looked up. Like you and I looked up to the cross in faith.

Did they Earn their salvation because they looked to the serpent?

No. No more than we can EARN salvation by looking to the cross

The other side of their position is - you must do something to remain saved LOL.

Then they say they play no role in their salvation.

So contradictory. Also: on one hand they claim people can lose their
salvation while also saying they believe in the preservation of the saints.
They do not believe salvation must be maintained. at least not the two we are having this discussion with. Just FYI
