So the white man will reject the gospel based on the pictures and the colour of my skin. The black man will reject the pictures of the white Jesus and view it as an attempt for the white people to control them once again.

May God give us the wisdom to address such matters in the church.

Yes we are a human race and we are all sinners.

I don't use pictures, I wanted the other party to see the problem that lies with the white Jesus. Honestly, what your saying is ideal but there are deep underlying issues that cannot be solved by telling people what to do.

I guess we will do what we can and leave the hardened hearts in God's hands.
I don't disagree that there are deep issues, though I think our approach to dealing with them may differ. If we expect to "sort through" all the issues before people will come to Christ, then we're preaching an inadequate Christ.

We have similar issues with First Nations people in Canada. They have been hurt very badly by "whites", including "Christians". As a result, many First Nations people aren't interested in hearing about a "white" Jesus. The issue is not that Jesus was white, but that He is the God of white people, and so they associate Jesus with all the wrongdoings of whites.

I think when we regard slavery according to the colour of people's skin, we are missing what slavery has always been about....... which is free labour.

One group or individuals exploiting others because they had the position and power to do so.

Racism was created to justify that behaviour, however it is not the reason for slavery..

Slavery provides a big economic advantage.
I like that.

Pharaoh oppressed the Israelites because they were increasing in number. He did not want to loose his power as it had a lot of impact on his self esteem.

I think insecurity is destroying humanity. Oppression is a sign that the perpetrator is simply intimidated. We find our identity in power, wealth etc and cannot risk loosing it, hence the oppression, slavery, racism etc.

Insecurity is very dangerous and is the cause of many crimes.

Not sure that oppression is a sign that a perpetrator is "intimidated" ... historically speaking oppression is for gain... usually power and wealth.

I am not saying we should sort out all the issues before people come to Christ. I am saying the issues must be solved and I believe that is part of God's heartbeat.
Not every one is called to be a Preacher, Prophet etc but everyone is called to live the gospel. Sorting the issues is not preaching an inadequate Christ. You can sort out the issue while being Christelike and people will probably be drawn to the Christ in you. I am not against preaching the word of God nor do I minimize the power of God.

Preach the word of God and others will attempt solving those issues in a Christelike manner.

" I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one".

Not all but some. I think everything points to insecurity.

You know what, maybe the revelation of what Christ did factually LOOK LIKE, will cause the "Last Day" falling away!

Maybe, just maybe, this will be the or one of the issues that cause that final delusion in the lives of those who aren't truly Saved!

In the Southern USA, I am willing to bet many so-called Christians are racist and this could end their relationship with Christ!

But I also will say, BIGOTS deserve to be punished!

I think it's funny all of these GRACE THREADS when Jesus Himself told John in Revelation there is coming a "Great Falling Away!" That He would send a Delusion! I can literally envision MILLIONS rejecting Christ for not being WHITE!

The USA is so racist today, it is a Den of Thieves!

My daughter is Black and when we travel she is always targeted. A Dark Skinned Jesus would most definitely cause these people to leave Christ. This is another reason I find the OSAS message to be false because Christ said there will be a Great Falling Away. If the Grace Message was true, no one could Fall Away!

Most white people struggle with racism, it is a thorn in their flesh, just like most Africans struggle with tribalism, it is a thorn in our flesh.I become surprised when I encounter white people that are not racists, it's something that am not used to.
May God deliver us from these evil thorns.

Am so sorry about your daughter. Just don't allow what they did to take the best of you. Let's try overcoming evil with good. Pray for your enemies, he understands them better than we do.

I believe the USA will rise again. It is special in its own way and their contribution to Israel is something profound and touches the heart of God.

I do not accept this description of Jesus either at all .. There's a reason Jesus was not meant for us to know what He looked like .. Hunchbacked implies imperfection and Passover lambs were to be without spot or blemish ..

Then you reject Isaiah's description of Christ because his description fits Josephus description to a "T!"

Isaiah 53:2 "For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him".

Do you not think racism resides in all people regardless of skin color?

Yes, May the Lord deliver us from this.

I have several friends with different backgrounds and ethnicities. We are open about what we discuss. And we all agree that as open and acceptive we are of one another, when it comes to strangers different than ourselves, we can still be racist. So, it is always a work in progress. Accepting others is very much like our Walk in God. We always need to be growing to become better!

USA is doomed!
It has become a true resemblance of Babylon.
We murder millions of babies every year by abortion.
Our ruling system is always at odds with our Faith Systems.
Our Faith Systems have become worldly.
There is no more turning back and recovering.
It is what it is because these are the "Last Days!"

Some, no, lot's of people need to learn the difference between race and ethnicity. BTW Arabia isn't a skin color.

It's laughable, but, let's say Jesus appears in body. What are people going to say? "Man, he white! I can't worship that!" -or- "Man, he's brown, or black, I can't worship that!" Yes, that is the way some will react, or at the least right now they are hoping he's the right color, or, he won't carry as much authority if his skin pigmentation isn't "correct."

That's why a few on here are trying to determine his skin color, so they can then represent him to others. That is adding to the gospel, and is no gospel at all. What is it "Hey, good news man, Jesus was __________ !"

Absolutely ridiculous.

God has to be looking at the idiocy here on this planet with people worrying about the color of their skin, or the color of others skin, or unjustly judging a situation because of the color of the skin of those involved. You know you do this, you hear about an incident, and then you want to know the color of their skin. That is racist.

Some spend a huge amount of time worrying about skin color, and frankly, it isn't mostly white people worrying about it or making it an issue.

Fact.

If we all woke up tomorrow with everyone having the same exact skin color, and our memories of who was colored what before that, some would find another difference and shout "racism" and make themselves out to be an innocent victim. The Left would make sure some of you all had a reason to do it, and you'd fall in line to the pied piper once again - following the course of this world.

I think it means more like He wasn't like King Saul , a head taller that the rest and that he had to get 5 pounds of hair, haircuts every year .. As in Sean Connery wishes he wasn't so plain and looked like more me .. LOL, I believe Isaiah, just not the hear say from what I deem unreliable sources

I thank God that He never showed himself to anyone. He is so majestic, none can see Him and live. I think because our eyes would not be able to handle it.

Or maybe it's because we are so evil, His holiness and His perfection would consume us.
I guess we will do what we can and leave the hardened hearts in God's hands.
Amen.
The solution to this problem is not to substitute one race of Jesus for another or to experiment. But to just focus on the good news of salvation. And as you know, salvation has nothing to do with race. And if anyone wants to make it a race issue, then all you can do is pray for them. Shake the dust off your feet.
