We do not agree.

I believe the spirit of Christ is my new nature and therefore I have been able to function in it. To live in it, walk by it, and be in it. When I finally figured this out is when the lights turned on. Most of my life I believed I was in a battle between what I thought was my old man fighting against what I thought was my new man. Now I'm not fighting. I moved right in the darn thing. It seems to me one cannot walk in or by the spirit if our old nature (which is dead) thinks it's fighting against our new nature.

Last night is when I took the red pill that released me from the Matrix. Being in Christ is not what I was taught, meaning that you are in fellowship, which means you are walking upright with your flesh. I now understand being in Christ is being in the spirit and neither of them (in Christ or in the spirit) has anything to do with the darn flesh.

It now seems perfectly clear to walk in or by the spirit is the same as putting on the Lord Jesus Christ. It's the same as having fellowship with Jesus Christ, which is also part of having the mind of Christ. Living in Christ is the same as being strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. There's a verse where Jesus says without me you can do nothing. Well, I'm never without him.
Again, Peterlag, the people you have replied to in this thread experience the walk in the Spirit and, at the same time, they acknowledge just as Paul told Timothy ...

1 Timothy 1:1

15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am [present, indicative] chief.

16 Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting.

17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

18 This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare

We can live, and walk, and have our being in Christ ... while having recall that we were delivered from sin and that we have obtained mercy that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. Because we have obtained mercy, we are able to show mercy to those we come into contact with and help them.

And just because we acknowledge our weakness, this does not mean we are are "carnal" or that we are unable to "understand that which is spiritual" or that we "continue to walk in our old man". Those are words you use to describe people in this thread.

That we acknowledge our weakness just means we know who we were in Adam ... and we know who we are in Christ. We then also forget those things which are behind as instructed in Phil 3:14. The word "forget" in that verse does not mean that we do not recall as if we do not remember our life before we were born again. It means that we do not allow who we were in Adam to interfere with our pressing toward the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

One could come to the conclusion that you, calling a brother or sister in Christ "carnal" or telling us we are "unable to understand that which is spiritual" or that we "continue to walk in our old man" could indicate that you have failed to put off the old man and you are not walking in the new man.

Ephesians 4:29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.

I could write the same data that Paul wrote. I could say the Lord came to save me for I am nothing but dirt and I'm a bigger sinner than most. I know there are many other places where Paul writes but now in Christ we have been made righteous. etc. etc.

It is about you

its about you rejecting to confess that while you claim to be without sin, you are decieved.
I am not claiming to be without sin. I'm righteous in Christ. It's in him. It's not about me. The whole darn new testament is about him. I read no place where it says all authority or all power is given unto me both in heaven and on the earth, It's in him.

It's "in him" that I seem unable to get you to understand. You keep bringing it back to me.
If I am misunderstanding you then let me try to understand, you have said you walk in the spirit you quote scripture about not sinning you replied to Tourist you do not sin.
So I just want an honest answer do you or do you not sin? can you stand before God and say to him you do not sin? because there is adifference in nhot having sin in Christ as in we are blenketed in his blood even in our failings and saying you yourself do not sin because you walk in the spirit so please help me understand which are you?

Ok now I understand what you were saying my apologies for misunderstanding. So if I am correct you do admit to fall short and have sin but in Christ we are without sin yes?

The Bible neither confirms nor denies the existence of animals in Heaven but it does clearly state that God loves animals.
They would have to be born with holy spirit to be able to get in heaven. Flesh and blood profited nothing.

I cannot sin because Christ did away with it and there's no sin in him and I am in him. 1 John says the same thing. We cannot sin if we are in Christ. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin, for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

Admitting? I have said from day one that I have no sin in Christ. You guys keep bringing it back to my flesh.
So you claim to be sinless?

back and forth, why don’t you just own up to the fact that you as John said are decieved?

when will you stop excusing your sin, humble yourself and come to the throne of grace which will allow you in humility to Love and serve others Unconditionally out of love and gratitude for a father who loves you unconditionally

I think I understand.
The Father and Son reveal that mysterious oneness. The Father say's this about the Son " in Him I am well pleased." Jesus teaches about his miracles.

John 10:38
But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, so that you may know and understand[e] that the Father is in me and I am in the Father.”
In the same way the Christian is in the Son and the Son is in the Christian.

If a Christian is in Christ then Christ in the Christian includes the Christian. The Christian in Christ doesn't sin because Christ is the seed that remains in him and the Christian is in Christ. The Christian is in the seed that remains.

Yes. And I know and you know that all spiritual blessings received by the believer are IN HIM.

Have you ever read John 15? We abide in the Lord Jesus Christ ... not just visit ... we are to remain in Him and as we do, the Christ in the believer shines through and reaches out to those with whom we come in contact. The fruit exhibited in our lives is produced within the believer by the Lord Jesus Christ. We, as branches, hold forth the fruit to others. We have no ability in and of ourselves to produce fruit. He produces the fruit in us and without Him we can do nothing.

Well tbh he doesn't seem to explain himself well does he? I cannot tell if he is just not good at explaining what he is saying, if we are just so used to sinless perfectionists that we just assumed that was what he was saying or if he is just giving us the run around.
Honestly this thread has been confusing to me

The following were written under inspiration, at the same time SAVED men were in the planet.

There is not a just man upon the earth that does good and sins not.

If we say that we have no sin, we are deceived and the truth is not in us.

If God should mark iniquity, no one would stand.

There is a balance to be struck.

a. The SPIRIT is born again from above by incorruptable seed and does NOT SIN. It is ETERNALLY SEALED, saved, justified before God.

b. ABOVE SAID SPIRIT is still housed in a fallen BODY OF SIN that is weak, sown in sin, fails every day.

c. The battle ground for control is the mind....the greater the transformation by the word, the less we sin and more we walk like Christ.

This side of the transfromation or resurrection of the body...NO ONE will be sinless.

God deals with sin in the believer dia chastening....and grace!

Even Daniel confessed his sins and note, he was one of three men GOD himself named and said, "IF IT WERE POSSIBLE to be delivered by one's own righteousness" Daniel was one of three listed.....

The deal is....with a true believer....sin is not the issue....faith is!

It's a Catholic concept to walk more like Christ. The focus is on us which is not Christian.

Where did you come up with this strange idea? "To walk more like Christ" is in the Bible, and it is the opposite of having the focus on us.

For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: ... Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin; (1 Pet 2:21; 4:1)
