27 Now He Who is searching the hearts is aware what is the disposition of the spirit, for in accord with God is it pleading for the saints."

Verse 26 explains sometimes we don't know what we should be praying for and the Holy Spirit gives us the groaning (Speaking in Tongues) to pray with.

Verse 27 explains that those Spoken Tongues are understood by God so God is able to honor the prayer.

In other words, if we are with someone possessed and casting the Demon(s) out, the Holy Spirit gives us the Prayer Language to use that God can understand to force the Demon(s) out.

That tells us ONLY GOD knows what is being said in Tongues. Which means the Devil does not understand it :)

How long have you known this is what tongues is? I always just called it a language of the hearts XD

All the time actually, I didn't even know it was tongues until recently but yeah there things I try to express to him words in our intimate times together but the human tongue can't express it there is just no words so my heart speaks for me.
It difficult to describe really, like when I try to express to him the level and depth of my love and affection for him it is like the words love and affection are not even what is being described like an entirely different word or feeling all together.

I suppose that would explain why the enemy can't understand it, he may be able to know our thoughts as he tries to penetraite my mind with doubt fear and my greatest weakness self worth but he has never been able to affect what I speak in my heart

You've probably like many of us have been praying, but there was no real sense of why we were praying. Then suddenly we felt an urge and our words that were released were not words. And even though to us praying, what we uttered made no sense. To Almighty God, it made perfect sense!

You have Spoken in Tongues and never knew it, Brother!

I have always had ministers/pastors/teachers in my family. I would listen to them discuss many things during family gatherings. And since we believed in the Gift of Tongues, I was able to hear the examples to which they thought were utterings from the Holy Spirit like Romans 8 26-27 explains. I've known of this going on 35+ years or more. Probably if I remember, I could remember them discussing this when I was maybe 5 or even younger.

Brother Blain,

And now that you know the Holy Spirit has intervened on your behalf, you are able to Speak in Tongues. You know the moment when it happens because your words are not words and you don't know what you're saying. But be in PEACE, that is God helping you Speak in the Language He does not want the Enemy to know!

I don't know if I have said anything like that out loud most of the time it is my inner conversations with him but you know it is funny how you mention I have spoken tongues and never knew it because on the first topic of tongues I was in this year I told a friend I didn't have that gift and she prayed over me to have it. I didn't feel the need or urge to speak anything so I figured well God uses people for different things and moved on.

Then another tongues thread came and I gave a response that I felt lead to give and described those inner groainins ,words that are too deep for the human tongue to speak as tongues and then after I posted it I was like wait a second... went back and re read what I said and laughed saying to god you really have a great sense of humor in telling us things. I had no idea I have been speaking in tongues since my salvation

I know that others have posted with regards to the 'church fathers'. What gets me, is someone touting what they think is a fact and using it as 'proof' that there were no tongues once the disciples were all gone, is that they do not have the honesty to say they were wrong.

It's no wonder they have not experienced being filled with the Holy Spirit!

I know because I can feel it in your Spirit, Brother!
God has intervened on your behalf and He plans to continue!
God knows He can Speak through you.
Next time it happens, just be FREE and let God have His way :)

This response of yours made me wonder what you meant by him intervening on my behalf but then I wondered if maybe it was those times when I am just being with him and suddenly sense someone out there is in deep pain sadness and brokeness, They don't happen that often but when they do it is as if I feel what their feel and I am drowining in tears praying to him with all my heart and soul to go them and embrace them I always called this a deep level of empathy or intercession but is that also perhaps tongues?

Blain, My dogs think I'm nuts. I just stood up and shouted and threw a right fisted punch like I just hit Satan between the Eyes over you realizing you have been used by God in such a manner where people claim it's not real and fake. But you now know IT IS REAL!

It means, I know You are fertile soil for God to work in. When God is able to intervene in our prayers, we have become open for Him to use. This is a Blessed Moment for You, Brother. You know your walk in God is on the RIGHT PATH!

I have done the same thing to walls at times, normally it is because of my anger towards him for the damage I have seen him do God's children I am very protective of people and sometimes my fire just becomes so strong I seeth and punch walls and boy do I let the enemy know how I feel I mean you want to talk about talking the devil down oh boy he doesn't want to mess me with me when I am like that

haha..very sure this will never happen, but I have told God more than once I will be happy to help Him push the devil into the lake of fire.

Yeah I have dopne something simlar in my fiery anger I tell him you better hope God doesn't let me fight in the tribulation because wherever your hand is to hram even one hair of his children my blade will meet you. I may go over board sometimes but I mean what I say
