Do you subscribe to a yin/yang type of construct? Is God sentient in your view? A conscious entity? The ground of our being?

Do you believe He created the universe and gave us life?

If so, do you believe He created us for a reason? Do we have inherent purpose?
Do you subscribe to a yin/yang type of construct?
I would see a construction as part of a mental image, that I try to avoid. But I don't find the idea about a constant movement towards a balance in life impossible.

I do not know. Again I would see it as trying to understand God mentally. I only try to follow the direction that presents itself for "me" when I give up an illusion. (sorry, if I'm repeating myself)

Do you believe He created the universe and gave us life?
Yes. Although, I do not know how such a creation took place.

do you believe He created us for a reason? Do we have inherent purpose?
Yes. I think there is a purpose in the creation. A purpose we follow by giving up ourselves and desires.

Twice I've been banned on Christian Chat. Twice after asking questions.

First time I responded to a person which message I wanted to understand correct. The person wrote something about that if he had attended protesters violent behavior they wouldnt' be alive. I asked the person if I understood it correct, that he would like to kill protesters. Then I was banned.

The second time I asked about if I'm allowed to be on the Christian Chat even though I'm not a believer of God as personal and separated from us. People started writing that I was trolling, and I got banned again.

I would like to know, what the rules are on the chat. Am I not allowed to use the chat without being Christian? The rules of the chat doesn't mention anything about this. Also the rules doesn't say anything about not being allowed to ask specific questions. As I understand the rules, we are not allowed to purposefully offend others. And I don't understand how the two situations that has lead to a ban have been offending others.

People don't have to like me. They can have different reasons for not liking me. But does a personal opinion about me, mean I can't use the chat as long as I'm not purposefully offending others? Nobody has to listen to my opinions, but should a Christian ban a person on an public chat for having a different view of life and asking questions?
Yes. Like I wrote, I was portraying a map and not the landscape. My words can't fully explain what God is.

It’s not what God is.

It’s who God is.....number one in a believers life.

If you believe God created the universe and gave us life, it seems contradictory to say you do not know whether God is sentient when you agree there is a purpose in/for creation, and likewise contradictory to say you do not know if He is the ground of our being when our very existence is unavoidably contingent on Him as Creator.

Time for some sleep. Bye for now :)

Yes, it seems like it's in a personal understanding of God, that is most likely where the difference in my understanding and Christianity lies.

You are most likely correct about this. I try not to focus on this mental understanding of God. But your logic seems correct.

I hope you will sleep well :)

I would say, that we should use the source we have trust in as the truth. Some believe the truth has been delivered to us in a book.

(I haven't seen your message until now)

And as far as abortion goes. My daughter is living proof of my beliefs in abortion. I would never consider such! I recall having a convo. with OP that accused me of being a murderer. And I challenged him to repeat this to my face and see if he would'nt get a bat to the head! This is how much I detest abortion!( For the record. LOl)
Me too, especially as We had one and The Lord left me for doing it 😔

Mornings are the best part of the day for me :)

As I understand it, you have tried to show me, how my question could be interpreted as offending. But for me it's not the right solution to ban because of a possible misunderstanding. I always try to move towards a person via constructive communication. Maybe some don't agree with me about that approach.

My native language is Danish.

I was just going to post that we should probably stop shoving it down your throat now...as you have been given free will 😁

Yes, I think I'm aware of the differences between my understanding and Christianity :) (but also still have much I can learn)

Studying The Bible, (especially the New Testament) will not give you ☮️, until you believe. It’s an oxymoron, I’m afraid. When I read the Bible, it terrifies me.

I agree :) We don't find faith on an intellectual level, but from trusting in giving up the illusion of ourselves and feeling the peace.

Reading the Bible has inspired me to seeing life as I try to follow it now. Other sources has also inspired me. And I keep finding inspiration in all of these sources.

Why are you terrified?
‘Self’ is an issue for all of us. The only time self is mentioned in The Bible is self denial or self control-😐

I think it depends on, what Bible is used.

Mark 8:34
KJV: "And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him DENY HIMSELF, and take up his cross, and follow me. "
NLV: Jesus called the people and His followers to Him. He said to them, “If anyone wants to be My follower, he must GIVE UP HIMSELF and his own desires. He must take up his cross and follow Me.

For me "give up" is easier to understand how to follow than "deny".

Maybe someone has more to say to this difference in the Bible versions :)
