The prayer of faith heals the sick. We are talking about the gifts of the Spirit the Apostles distributed that commanded healing just as Jesus did. Commanded the dead to raise up. We have lots of talk instead with no evidence.
Like I said to you before, not only waking people from the dead is a miracle in my book. I thank God for every answered prayer. He is amazing :)

It's just that claims to having the gifts are lies at worst. And deceiving at best.

You are mistaken. He is not silent and have never stopped speaking. But learning to hear his voice is not easy and takes some determination, strong desire and a humble an obedient heart. It is a journey but a very exciting one. There isn't a lot of good teaching on this and fewer examples and it is sometimes abused because of the ignorance of the church so I can see why people decided God no longer speaks to people directly. Makes it easier and requires no discernment. But it is throwing out the baby with the bathwater.

Amen!....

The Charismatic gifts were distributed through an Apostle's hands only. Or in the two outpourings. They do not exist today their purpose being fulfilled.
So you are referring to speaking in tongues and waking the dead only?

You have people that are not interested in the fame and fortune and they will do miracles without any media hype. I have a close pastor friend that prayed for a lady with cancer in front of Muslim doctors in hospital and she had to run to the toilet because the cancer fell out of her. The Muslim doctors were speechless and did not say a word. God will use whoever He will to do miracles to honour His name.

I told you last time my friend, me and my wife have seen miracles with our own eyes and there is no logical explanation except for it was a miracle.

My wife was driving to work on a particular stretch of highway in SA. It is a busy road, and while she was driving she was worshipping God. All of the sudden she heard somebody speaking to her and say "look out!". She saw this big truck next to her losing control and closed her eyes while praying for her safety. When she opened her eyes the truck was gone and they guy behind her was looking at her in absolute amazement with his hands over his head. She said that his expression was one of “what just happened?” She never saw the truck again. Call it what you like but miracles occur around us every day my dear brother and I will keep on thanking God for His miracles in our lives.

Amen!!......so very true.....God has given you that faith....I also have it.......he has increased my faith beyond my wildest dreams......Praise God!

You need to prove what you say from scripture. Here is what Scripture says about the Holy Spirit in Acts. If you say more than this, you adding to scripture. View attachment 217325
Please provide scripture that states believers are filled with the Holy Ghost the moment they believe.

You are not speaking in tongues. What you are doing is making noise and blowing off steam. https://www.dana.org/article/speaking-in-tongues-glossolalia-and-stress-reduction/

1900s American Pentecostals mixed voodoo tongues with Wesley Methodism thinking they were the same. I can prove many times over they are not genuine today.
The biblical record is God's final authority. And it clearly shows speaking in tongues is the evidence of the infilling of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:1-4, 2:33, 10:44-48, 19:1-6)

Why do they leave when the unsaved Jesus never knew cast them out?
As I told you previously, the people made a statement that THEY thought was a fact. Was it?

The account of the sons of Sceva speak directly to the point that only born again believers have the authority to cast out demons.

You are saying scripture is not perfect when Paul does.
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16–17 (KJV 1900)
The scripture referenced in 1 Corinthians 13:10 concerns when the spiritual gifts will no longer be necessary. The gifts are required to fulfill God's purposes until Jesus returns. When Jesus returns, ministering to people about salvation, healing, discerning of spirits, giving a word of knowledge, etc. will no longer be required. The efforts of born again believers who God used to flow through to draw others to repentance will come to an end.

Those who have obeyed their Lord and Savior will see and hear Him face to face. And, those who refused to accept the truth even after witnessing the power of God through the means of His spiritual gifts will face the torments of hell.

I have much proof that nobody speaks in tongues today. And if they do it is from the wrong spirit.
Sadly your unbelief in scripture proven tongues limits your ability to have an intimate relationship with God. See proof from the word, you profess to believe, that born again believers speak in God ordained tongues:

"For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries." 1 Cor 14:2

“For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.
What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.” 1 Cor 14:14-15

"I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:" 1 Cor 14:18

"But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit.
But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost," Jude 17-20

How does one pray in the Holy Ghost? The Apostle Paul's words in 1 Corinthians 14:4 tell us: "He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself;..."

Here's a biggie. Paul says those who speak in tongues edify themselves. He also says understanding what is said is the basis for edification. So, original tongue speakers knew what they were saying. Today's tongue speakers do not know what they are saying.
For sure! When one's spirit is connected to God's Spirit a person cannot help getting edification. Having faith that God is doing a good work in you through the the connection made via speaking in tongues requires no natural understanding. That's the whole point of having faith in God in all things.

Scripture thoroughly equips us. Voices in the head deceive and lead astray.
Knowing the bible enables one to distinguish between what is coming from God and what is not. Both the bible and the Holy Spirit are required to lead people into all truth.

John 10:3-5
"To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.
And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers."

Jesus also said his sheep know he voice and the spirit confirms what is spoken in the word if you heard the spirit then you har him but if you only hear the spirit by reading the bible then how do you interact with other God throughout the day when you aren’t reading? When you pray is it a one day ay communication? When you listen to a sermon is it a message of man or is it a confirmation of his word?

When you are in that still quiet place with him is his presence not also a form of him speaking to your soul?
The Bible has only become available to the public in recent times. The Bible cost the equivalent of a $1,000 000 a few centuries ago, and only the super rich could get their hands on one.
So, I'm concerned when I hear folks saying things like 'you must study the Bible, or you'll never know what God has to say to you'.

I think of those many billions of believers who lived and died in the last 1,500 years, and they never got to read a single word in the Bible. It would be a stretch, to claim that they weren't saved because they didn't study the Bible enough.

The average person couldn't even read until a few centuries ago, and the thief on the cross was saved without being baptized or participating in Bible study.

God is sovereign, so I'm sure He can save people who never studied the Bible. I also believe He saves people who have been deceived by false teachers, so it's not essential to have the correct interpretation of the scriptures.

God saves people according to His good pleasure and it has nothing to do with how smart we are or how well we can interpret scripture. You would be hard pressed to find two people who would agree on everything the Bible says. We all interpret scripture in a way that makes sense to us but nobody will ever agree with anyone else on all matters.

But the bible, if you know it, says scripture is better than prophecy according to Peter. And Paul says scripture completely furnishes us. You should not trade God's word that creates faith for gibberish that only robs you.

Edification comes from understanding what is said. Tongue speakers do not have a clue.
