I have two sincere questions:
1. will this violence/riot change anything for the future? how and what?
2. Do you serve justice with voilence??
exactly1. No. It will do absolutely nothing.
2. No. Justice can not be served until we understand what justice is. This nation, especially the young part of it, needs to understand that there is no such thing as rights alone. It's rights and responsibilities. Justice will happen when we get that straight.
Peaceful protesting is an oxymoron in action.https://www.yahoo.com/news/fiery-clashes-between-police-protesters-161829994.html
At least 4 deaths? Seriously?
But, hey, they are JUST peaceful protestors
A country with many laws is indictive of underlying turmoil in part of its population base, with those intent to do evil at the first opportunity that presents itself. Law-abiding citizens, who are born again, do not really need laws to govern their behavior as they rely on their moral spiritual compass. Otherwise law-abiding non-Christian citizens must rely on the ethics as decided by the secular world to govern and regulate their behavior.exactly
do you CC posters want to talk about justice? then start by explaining what it is because from what I read on here not many even know what it is or what it means or how to even administer it.
It is not related just whats happening right now in the US. This is a worldwide issue.
every country has problems with crime...and every country has different way with dealing with it. some have justice systems that work and some have no recourse to justice cos they havent a clue as to what it is!!!!
the police are not above the law, even the govt is not above the law. Ideally, the police and govt of a particular nation is there to protect and serve the interests of its citizens. If the police or govt have the attitude of some parts of the population are not even worthy to be protected because their life is not valued then you will always have this situation.
Peaceful protesting is an oxymoron in action.
Perhaps because the protest is based on anger rather than seeking the truth. Protests are an ethical form of showing their true colors. There are exceptions to this of course, but destructive violent behavior seems to be the norm and for the most part it is condoned by elements of government institutions.Agree, some are children who want to act out...especially those who are destructive.
I wonder why their protests are not hunger strikes?
Clearly we need massive reform and police procedureson police brutality
the culture of the police needs to change.
how many incidents like this have happened, and the police have gotten away with it. Who is keeping track.
is there a watchdog for the Police? are they understaffed, what is training like, is racism tolerated in the police force? How are people arrested, and what are the protocols for arrest?
it would seem that this has been going unchecked for decades.
I had a friend who died because of negligence on part of the police. She might still be alive if they had not dismissed her cries for help when she RANG them. Its because its a culture of 'women are stupid' sort of thing.
cannot bear to watch anything like that, it is scary.
People in mobs just dont think in terms of public or private property or business, Im sorry. They are just angry, so rather than kill PEOPLE, they just smash walls and stuff. Cos there is nothing else they can do about it when police dont do as they should. Children do the same.
I don’t hear no one saying why didn’t the Asian cop do something.
The the solution is police reform
Not not defunding the entire police department
I'd be okay with hanging crooked cops on the courthouse lawn
