My respond was to Biker, not to you. I know that between the different pentecostal movements and the charismatic movements are differences, but the Spirit behind is the same.

I am not claiming anyone Catholic is not saved, first and foremost. It's hard for me to understand how they believe the Pope is actually God Himself in the form as the Catholic leader. Now however though, I have on a handful of occasions met a person and after departing thought to myself, I wonder if that was an Angel or God? But there is no way I can ever buy the Pope is God.

Saying that much ^, I find it interesting with the things we associate Catholics to them also being Holy Spirit filled. I can't imagine being filled with God's Holy Spirit and thinking that the practices and chanting and using prayer beads, and the many other paganistic idealism are of God. So, to hear claim they speak in Tongues does make me question what "spirit" these tongues are connected to.

As far as Azusa, I do not believe that was intended to happen by those preaching and teaching the Word of God. I believe they had an "Upper Room" like in the Book of Acts moment where they were of one mind, one accord, and the Movement of God was real. I am not claiming there was fire above their heads, but that they were as close being on the same page as in the Book of Acts since the Book of Acts took place. I believe in God's timing, knowing in a little over 100 years, where we are today, thinking Tribulation could begin any day now. That God poured out His Spirit for the final stretch.

Now, what some have done with that has made a total mockery. But not all of it, some of it still relates to that true moment on Azusa Street!

Maby you should recognize that Joel 2 is speaking to the folk of Israel. The prophecie is for them.
And bible nowhere prophecie a second pentecost. And as I said to cs1 there is no teaching to the Christians in the NT speaking in tongues is the Sign that they are baptised with the Holy Spirit.

Today, many churches are coming up because of misunderstanding, different Bible interpretations, and believes. The churches with the people in it are confused and as a result of confusion and misunderstanding their Bible interpretation is not similar to the person next to them in the church, or from other people from other churches. More robotically, the people never ask “why do we have different interpretations of the Bible texts and different churches?” some try their best to answer the question but their answers lead back to the main topic which is, “everyone has a different interpretation, answers, and believe”. This, most importantly indicated that their interpretation is based on human understanding and is not lead by the Holy Spirit because the Holy Spirit will not make use confuse instead make us clear of everything. This then questions our belief about receiving of Holy Spirit.

They also never ask the question of why "why many things that are in the Bible remain unknown"—thye do not have answers and many questions still coming up.

People believe that since the Holy Spirit came down in the beginning, and when they believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, have automatically received the Holy Spirit at the time of repentance and water baptism. But their interpretation of the Bible, different beliefs, and the formation of new churches make them go against the Bible and this does not indicate that they have received Holy Spirit due to the fact the Holy Spirit teaches the truth and does not cause confusion but clarifies everything Jesus thought.

Somethings very important is still missing.

now when you look carefully at all the comments of everyone above, you will see that something is missing in the life of humans.

Why? do the Sudassaes and phrases defend the laws when and they come up with all kinds of leads to go against Jesus when they supposed to understand the problem that had and they to change themselves and believe in Jesus? Yes, but they will have power to cast fire, to rain, to kill by their word. That is the Holy Spirit! Even Jesus, God, said, I cast out Demons by the Holy Spirit. If God uses the Holy Spirit to perform Miracles, the 2 Witnesses will also use the Holy Spirit for their powers.

I don't believe Speaking in Tongues has to do with prophecy.
What if the preacher was committing adultery and Tongues and interpretation revealed this (not as the preacher himself, but someone in leadership position)?
That is not prophecy.
That is God revealing a wrong doing.

But the point I am making is you believe in the phrase Trinity because Tertullian proposed that term.
Just like you believe in Creeds because the Councils created Creeds.
But the same person for why you use the term Trinity, is the same person who also believed in Speaking in Tongues.
If you believe in the Trinity because of Tertullian and Creeds, why do you not believe in Speaking in Tongues like he did?

In fact, I have a list of several Church Fathers who claimed to Speak in Tongues themselves.

Dos the fact they Spoke in Tongues diminish them as Church Fathers to you?

Scholars would claim they were more intune with God than we are today. What if Speaking in Tongues made them more intune. Do you want to be more intune with God?

I do not believe in trinity, because Tertulian did. That Tertulian spokes in tongues is no proof that it was from the Holy Spirit. Many today speak in tongues without beeing believer.
