2 Peter 2:1
"But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them, bringing swift destruction on themselves".

I would like to contend that the notion that salvation is given to us ONLY in return for believing in Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior is INCOMPLETE.

We ARE asked to believe in Jesus Christ for salvation:
Acts 16:30-31
" "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household" ".

HOWEVER, Jesus repeatedly told people to stop sinning, and we are warned that if we deliberately/knowingly continue in sin following the acceptance of Jesus into our lives, Jesus' sacrifice will NOT cover these sins:
Hebrews 10:26
"Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins".

This of course makes sense.
If we SAY we follow Jesus but continue rebelling against God, then are we REALLY following Jesus?
Matthew 7:21
"Not everyone who calls out to me, ‘Lord! Lord!’ will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Only those who actually do the will of my Father in heaven will enter".

So then, we must accept Jesus into our lives and believe in him.
AND we must also stop rebelling against God, even after we have accepted Jesus into our lives.

What I have said may be obvious to many, but all the time I hear excuses from Christians to justify their sinning:
"Nobody is perfect" - nobody has said that you are
"God will forgive me" - actually, according to Matt 7:21, if you continue to sin after accepting Jesus, Jesus' sacrifice won't cover your sin (verse above)
"We're human, and humans are fallible" - typical excuse!
"It is impossible not to sin, as we are not perfect" - this article sums it up very well: https://www.gotquestions.org/go-and-sin-no-more.html
Have you heard these kind of excuses too?

Christians have no excuses for deliberately/knowingly sinning:
1 John 1:6
"If, then, we say that we have fellowship with him, yet at the same time live in the darkness, we are lying both in our words and in our actions".
your issues are you have not properly defined Biblically the word " believing" in Jesus Christ as our Lord and savior.

The word here is a verb therefore there is an action needed for one to actually be, believing.

The Greeks understood " Believing" as mental acceptance of something from and processed by Human reasoning.

Wrong!

Belief in God starts with faith the substance which causes one to Believe = action. The Word Of God and the Gospel preached creates an environment in which one can act on the call from God to them.

P4T is not doing what you think, and if you read the whole thread, I think you would see lightskin agrees with the verses also,, he is just being attacked

Not one person should have attacked, not one.
End of story.

david continued to commit adultry with Barhseba and his many wives, And I will call it what it is, sin, just like what lightskin is doing, I will call it what it is sin!

what lightskin is doing is sin, it is wrong, and I have never stated otherwise.
I am not excusing anything, I am agreeing with some of what he says, like you agree and give hearts to people who call others cowards. And slander them in other ways
David did not commit adultery after he took Bathsheba for his wife.

Are you agreeing someone can live in sin, sleep routinely with a person out of wedlock, and still be saved? If so, you are on an unsustainable path. I’m talking about someone who on here says he’s still fooling around, and not showing repentance for doing it.
Listen, you accused me of saying something I didn't. I don't need a lecture from you when you were in the wrong - either apologize or hold thy peace.

Yeah I did like what he said

you said You do not judge people because they have sex, but you judged this, person

its being called singling people out., I agree with him on that post

if your going to call lightskin out, you better be willing to call everyone out who commits the same sin
As @preacher4truth previously stated these verses...

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.[1 Cor. 6:9-11]

Look at that I bolded. We can not live a life that when we sin, we show no repentance. That has been shown on here, yet you won’t confront him. Why not confront him?

In post 744, you accused me of being mentally unstable. See quote below.
I asked you to apologise and you refused, saying that you have nothing to apologise for.

Another case of the pot calling the kettle black.

...You appear mentally unstable.

I stand by what I posted, I still think you appear mentally unstable. I rebuked you for your creepy behaviour not for appearing mentally unstable.

Sackcloth-N-Ashes - Have you read what Lightskin said in posts 831,851, 892? I think he has given some good humble answers.

I’m going to say it one more time, and I don’t care who you are; if you’re on here and have someone on ignore, but still call them names, lie about them &c, you’re a coward. 1 Corinthians 16:13.

Hi @Chester :)

I don't think Lightskin is the subject of conversation now.
I think the context of the current discussion is that some people are conflating confronting sin (which we have a duty to do, and as you quite rightly did) with judging people on their sin.

You are allowed to think that if you wish. No skin off my keyboard.

As for that unrepentant white washed tomb he wasn't thinking he was claiming.

He can say them all day long. But has he put those words to action?

The Christ gave a parable of where a father wanted his sons to go to work. The first, he didn’t, then got up and obeyed his father’s words. The other said he’d go, but never went.[Matthew 21:29-30]

At this juncture, he’s the latter, not the former.
