So, one doesn’t have to submit to the will of God to be saved? Christ doesn’t have to be their Lord in order to be saved. One doesn’t have to be guided by the Holy Spirit in order to be saved?

Bruh, you’re holding to Free Grace Theology where a person can live as they want, and since they “prayed the prayer”, they’re still saved. You’re promoting a life a lasciviousness. Congrats!

That is not free grace theology .. just like how people do not like to be misrepresented as "Calvinists" same holds true the other way.

Looks like your boy Thomas M. Cucuzza did a little embellishing and conflating of MacArthur's words, which is slander. His statement in his book “Secure Forever” is not what MacArthur said in his opening statement of chapter 6:

Many preachers misrepresent on both sides.. free grace theology is not decisional regeneration ... nor is a promotion of lasciviousness.

It is the basic belief that salvation is a "free gift" ... not given based on the promise of good works or submission, based totally upon the grace of God and the work of Christ Jesus and not quid pro quo.

If you think salvation is "quid pro quo" then you have lordship salvation.

For me Chapter 6 is no longer clickable...

I did learn about this so maybe this explains it....

MacArthur’s teaching and that they are nothing less than works-righteousness. It appears that there were some changes made in the text by the editors of the publishing house that were not sent to MacArthur for affirmation. Therefore the books went to press with statements that are quite disturbing. They plan to make changes if there is a second printing of the book.”

Cucuzza who "quoted" him used several ellipses (...) and it appears that several things may have said in the book were conglomerated out of context to make it appear he said something that is not in the actual book, which I looked at for evidence.

There is no need for the ellipses if it was a word for word quote. This is how some quote others out of context.

You can't read it? The link I gave starts you at the beginning of the book, scroll down to the chapters page. I can still click chapter 6, and it doesn't say what others state.

Thank you very helpful.... at least if we are gonna slander we should be accurate... but the it wouldn't be slander now would it? :)
