He is saying it in a spiritual sense. the mind has nothing to do with Spiritual things. We die, pour mind dies. Only the Spirit continues because it deals with spiritual events.

The Bible claims we are to be WISE (mind) as serpents.
That means what we feel in the spirit (1 function) our mind is to interpret that for knowledge (2nd and separate function).
No, you added the "(mind)" there in the verse, it says nothing about the soul.

Wisdom is what takes place that the soul Discerns. After the mind interprets that for knowledge it reaffirms the soul.
@biker, you need to stop assuming things and only reflect what the Bible says. You're doing what Paul said we should be doing= "going beyond what is written". I don't know if someone taught you these things or if you came to these conclusion on your own, but its just not Biblical, I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this.

HIS...baptism? You mean that when John baptized HIM, that was when HE was....baptized????

If you did not have a soul, you could not discern. Since your mind is carnal, it cannot detect things on a spiritual plane. This is why we have both a soul and a mind to work together. But they are not the same.
I tried to give you a simple verse to begin proving it.....but you just dismissed it by saying "Thats a spiritual meaning"......which you couldn't prove when I asked you to.
