Peacetime for who? A comfortable Western Church.
A genocide of Christians is taking place right now in Islamic nations. Thousands of Christians are being beheaded, blown up, shot, stabbed, tortured, raped, enslaved and imprisoned. They are experiencing tribulation NOW.

A pre-trib rapture theory appeals to a comfortable Western church. And it's unwise for Christians to put their faith in it.
The beginnings of The Great Tribulation could close in on The Middle East and the comfortable church wouldn't even notice because they are looking for an evacuation and an Italian Beast promised to them by Scofield. It's foolish to cling to this theory that has been unduly treated as though it were sound doctrine. It's not doctrine at all. It's not core Christianity. It's on the periphery.

There is nothing on the planet that currently resembles the gt.
We have evidence of totally burned out cities with dead everywhere.
Nobody is on a housetop sipping tea or at a mill grinding.
The 5 wise virgins are in peacetime settings as well as noah and earth's population before the flood. Or lot and daughters before the judgement.
No post trib departures are depicted. No wartime destruction settings.

All pretrib.

You need an example of ,say, noah Removed AFTER the Flood.
Lot removed AFTER the judgement.

Pretrib is easily defended.

Transversely the wise were not putting off or resisting his fetching them.

It is a vivid picture of the rapture.
Even the foolish threw themselves in that mix.

He is coming. The protocol is waiting watching and investing in that dynamic.

Anybody could have told the wise virgins "you are foolish putting that getting taken foolishness ahead of preparing for a false groom"

Or told noah "you mean you are going to sail away while we drown?"

If you look at a tsunami footage. The boats depart first. The people move to high ground.
Noah could have departed days before the water reached those on hills and mountains.

Noah was shielded on the ark, on the earth. While the rest of them were "taken away"
There were people living normal lives right up until the end.
Revelation 5:6 tells us that up to the time of the 3rd seal there will be some living in luxury on the earth.

Pretrib is easily refuted
I can't believe anyone could twist this verse to support a pre-trib positon. It says the opposite.

38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Rapture will happen the moment Jesus appears in the clouds so that all the world will see him as they are launching atomic bombs at each other.
While the bombs are flying Jesus and his angels will lift off Earth the last few real Jews and the last few true Christians and all will watch as Earth burns.

If there is No heaven why There is a word heaven in this verse
 
Matthew 24 is about the second coming of Jesus and verse 29 says there is a post-tribulation rapture:

"Immediately after the tribulation of those days: ‘The sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken."

You may have been told by a lying deluded preacher that your recent ancestors have all floated off to heaven but it ain't so.

Here again it says "much people in heaven" the verse doen't say "much angels" it say "much people". You are dead wrong and the Word of God pure.

I am simply going with what scripture says and what it doesn't say. One thing so many folks forget and especially here in America is that Israel is now and always will be the Apply of God's eye. I can tell you for a fact that the Israelites as a whole will not bend the knee until after Christ returns to resurrect us from our graves. At that point they will realize what a grave mistake they have made and repent. However since they didn't believe and embrace the Gospel they will still be here on earth when the wrath/punishment of God comes to earth to cause those who were left behind to suffer the punishment of God. But God has already promised that once Israel became a nation once again that He would never destroy them completely ever again, and there are more then one prophecy to that affect. Once the resurrection has taken place there will no longer be any Evangelists left on the earth. That is the purpose of the 144,000. They will evangelize and minister to the Apple of Gods Eye.
It is only my opinion but I believe that the two witnesses will appear after the resurrection as well. As part of God's plan for Israel. Because the two witnesses only appear in Israel and only Israelites will see them. The rest of the world won't.

You may right, but there is heaven, and some day all believer going there.

Did you miss "before the flood"? It was not bolded...hmmm
As I stated before noah was not removed or taken anywhere AFTER the flood.
You are saying,in a post trib rapture model,that as noah "went through the flood and was removed AFTER the flood,so shall we be removed
After the judgement/wrath.

Nope....nothing of the sort.

In fact noah was taken over a mile into the sky ABOVE THE EARTH. DURING THE WRATH.

BUT....another component in that same mix of test fitting a postrib rapture model is that the ac is commissioned to murder saints. He is quite proficient at at. The bible says all earths inhabitants take the mark or die....so another obstacle for ANYTHING but a pretrib rapture.

Ark is a "type" of heaven.

"Took them away" could be applied to either noah and fam,or the earths inhabitants.

But one thing about it,the inlaws perished. So,some were taken and some left in the family.
Interesting that pretrib rapture is the only position incorporating the 10 virgin parable. 1/2 went to the marriage...the rest stayed behind

Pretrib rapture is The only position harmonizing with noah returning back to earth after the wrath to begin a new kingdom.(postribs painted themselves into a corner saying Noah never left)
BTW both sides say Jesus returns WITH THE SAINTS.

Noah in no way was delivered or taken anywhere AFTER the flood.
The Noah dynamic is vivid pretrib rapture.
