let me get this straight so I can understand the American thinking. You have the worst healthcare system in the world, with the vast majority of people not having access to healthcare , half of your budget goes on war, you have one of the worst homeless statistics in the world, welfare is hard to get, your infrastructure is crumbling at an alarming rate (I have seen the NYC Subway network and the NYJ Transit buses and the roads they drive on) and yet you want to decrease taxes???? I think Americans are under the influence of the way the nation was established whenever the European settlers arrived.
Many were fleeing from persecution and prosecution and was seeking a place where they could be totally free from oppressive governments, churches and a feudal society.
The first immigrants wanted to take care of themselves, in every possible way. This way of thinking is still very alive in America, and is part of the explanation of how we are vary of big govt, taxes, and the anti gun movement. They can be seen as means to gain control, which was why many came here in the first place to avoid.
I hope this was somewhat informative even though I can see the structure in my text is a bit messy.
totally understand the thinking, but we were built as a convict settlement, many white citizens here were convicted criminals, single parents etc. We still have free healthcare, a reasonable welfare system, we did have free education up until university, then the capitalists gained control of our nation and ruined it. We have subsidised public transport. A better way would be to look at Norway or Finland and there social system. The American way is not how you should treat your citizens. The USA is a just a huge vault to pay for there wars it seems.
I want freedom and liberty .. I don't want to rely on government .. When America is gone, you are toast .. Obamacare is opposed because it includes an rfid chip .. It was supposed to be implemented by 2017 but Trump got in to stop it .. We were supposed to be in the New World Order by now with sure fire Hilary .. Why do you think Trump has met so much opposition ?
with that attitude, your leaving behind the sick, the elderly, the poor, those that cannot find employment. Your infrastructure is falling apart, the CIA keeps assassinating whistle blowers and foreign leaders, hardly freedom and liberty. If you opress the poor, you end up with high crime . The only way to fix it is to make the rich and corporate pay taxes and start taking responsibility for the above people. Our current government here is trying to copy your system, thank goodness they are currently failing in there attempts .
If they're in the UK, the answer is YES! Now, there remains gun crimes because of course criminals are going to be armed. And one of the worst crimes occurring there is with knives.

Americans take pride in not being dependent on the government, no matter what...leastways that’s how it is in the rural areas of Lower Alabama.
That’s part of why public health care, gun control, free loaders, etc is a mighty unpopular thing to advocate.
Also abortion. The main thing is that abortion is killing a human being, and by that going against God, but there’s also another implication worth considering, namely the fact that governmental supported abortion can be seen as a way of interfering with the right to privacy and a family life.

Jesus does not suffer fools gladly. And He would not want a mentally deficient and incompetent person to be leading America.
As to all the deficiencies you have mentioned, Barack Obama had eight years to fix them and did absolutely nothing. And Obamacare was a disaster. Trump has been addressing multiple issues, but he has also allowed the Obama holdovers to remain in government, so that they can undermine him. Which makes absolutely no sense.
Hi Whispered , When my wife and I began work in the 72/73 healthcare was cheap and basically non profit . Employers , most either paid or contributed most of the premium cost and held the insurance companies in check by of all things competition .. The idea was to keep employees healthy and on the job and even the private business insurance benefitted with low cost .. We were from a textile mill village and poor, we did just fine .. People worked and if you had no insurance the hospitals would see you any way send you a bill and worse case you could pay a little each month even if you knew it would never get paid off .. Same with college , you could get scholarships if you earned them or you could agree too join the military or teach for 4/5 years and it was free .. Many employees had programs where you could continue education paid for .. Buying a house required a big down payment and banks, savings and loans did not loan money to lose it and that kept home value honest and real .. Today the last 40 yrs of government has spoiled and sold out by offering government backed loans and refinancing at way more than homes were worth .. What else could happen to all prices but go sky high .. I got debit cards and rid of all my credit cards and paid off my house when that stuff started, every one else was getting bigger houses and going deeper in debt .. When government gets involved then they'll get their cut and control .. That's where we're at now except we've had open boarders for 20 yrs .. Mexicans could come in legally, work 4/5 months and with exchange rates Dollar to Peso, go back to Mexico and live real big ... Job supply and demand is what creates higher wages, open boarders kills demand .. Not to mention drug epidemic .. That's just some things that are plain obvious that this big ole dummy can see from here .. And they want my guns (if I had any

i think what you're calling 'American dander' is vain nationalism. which is the wave of sentiment that historically despots often ride to power on.
we're sitting here in this thread re-writing history. Obama had 8 years of a congress 100% dedicated to preventing him from accomplishing literally anything, and doing everything in their power to gut whatever things he tried to do. 'obamacare' isn't functional because the R party has been making sure it can't be, since day one. so they can fault him for it, and get themselves back in power. 'new world order' is a term & vision used by G.W. Bush, not the Clintons. our current president is an actual mentally deficient & incompetent man, who puts about a dozen lies on record every single day.
