There are videos on YouTube if you want to learn the Hebrew alphabet and what the letters represent. The first letter of this word represents faithful servant. The second letter represents the mouth and the third letter represents the teeth or to consume or devour. If we keep doing a study on the meaning of these three letters we will start to get an idea of the meaning of the word. How do you do that? The actual Hebrew.
If there is no free will then what is there? We have day and night, light and dark and a lot in between. Life is filled with opposites and this gives us perspective. When we were looking for a home the real estate agent would show us homes that they knew we were not going to be interested in buying. But this gave us the comparison we needed so they could close the deal when we did find the home that was right for us. I remember one house it was a disaster. It was not at all what we needed or were looking for. No room at all to entertain and we have had many gathering of 50 - 60 or more people. My mind still makes a comparison between this house and that house after 15 years. We do not even think of looking for a different house because this one does a good job of meeting our basic needs better then most any other house would.if there is no free will then what is the purpose?

Not like Adam and Eve. If we study the prairie voles we see they mate for life. This is due to the oxytocin and vasopressin hormones. These are the receptors that are involved in this current drug epidimic. Not just in mating but in parenting also. Drug addicts tend not to make very good parents because of this. There is suppose to be something about Adam and Eve that goes beyond what the animals seem to have going for them.did they have wives?

why did God bring every animal before Adam, find no suitable help-meet, and then wind up creating Woman from him, for him?
if there were already men and women mating all over the earth - how many?
did God not realize a woman and a man are made for each other? hadn't He noticed?
why not bring one of these women to him? instead of creating Woman from him?
My understanding:probably like you quoted earlier - He made us after His image. animals are called souls just as we are, and also said to have the breath of life just as we are ((Genesis 7:22)), but no other creature IIRC is said to be made after His image. So what is the difference between humans and animals
We are not going to get anywhere until you read your Biology book. A lot of your questions would have been answered if you had just done your homework. To answer your first question though: As Adam was naming the animals, it became very clear to him that he was completely different from the animals and was a special creation. He was created in God’s very image. He could see that his relationship with Eve was going to be special compared to the relationship animals have with each other.why did God bring every animal before Adam, find no suitable help-meet, and then wind up creating Woman from him, for him?

If there are 8 billion people in the world today then at the time of Adam and Eve there would be less then a million. God made them male and female and then He wanted them to be united together as one. This is a type of the relationship we are to have with Jesus as we are the Bride and He is the Bridegroom. We then become joint heirs with Him. We will rule and reign with Him for 1,000 years. The difference between Adam and Eve is they had the breath of life. That is why today when we become born again we become Spirit filled. We receive the Spirit of God.why did God bring every animal before Adam, find no suitable help-meet, and then wind up creating Woman from him, for him?

That was strictly was God and man. It is now called Paradise, and it is also strictly for God and man.
Why would you conclude that all the animals came into the Garden of Eden to be named? Imagine hundreds of thousands of creatures trampling through that garden/orchard and destroying everything in their wake. The logical conclusion is that the naming of the creatures would have been OUTSIDE Eden.
Also, the other creatures are called "living creatures", not "living souls": And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so. (Gen 1:24) It was only Adam who became a living soul, since only human beings would have souls and spirits.
We know that it is now called "THE PARADISE OF GOD". And within that Paradise thereI don’t know but I’ll ask does the Bible say it was strictly for God and humans and at least one animal is recorded to be in the garden the serpent.
Apples and oranges. The Ark was long after Eden, and as you said, the animals came in two by two. That restriction did not apply when Adam named the animals. Big difference. Was the ark bigger than the garden? and the animals didn’t trampled through the boat they boarded in a orderly fashion two by two and was all the land animals in the ark?

We know that it is now called "THE PARADISE OF GOD". And within that Paradise there
are only the saints of God. So that should settle that issue. The serpent (actually Satan in the form of a serpent) sneaked in and was also cast out.

And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. (Gen 2:19)
My understanding:
Day 5
Genesis 1:21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good.
God created — brought into existence that which had not existed prior to this point
great whales — sea life
and every living creature — the words "living creature" are the Hebrew words chay nephesh
which the waters brought forth abundantly — again, life in the sea, as well as the winged fowl
Day 6
Genesis 1:24 And God said, Let the earth bring forth the living creature after his kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after his kind: and it was so.
Now we have the animals which live on the earth in addition to the sea life created on Day 5.
and again the words "living creature" are the Hebrew words chay nephesh.
Note that God did not have to create the animals. He just spoke them into being. He did not have to create chay nephesh because He had already created it on Day 5. The same "life" which animates sea life is the same "life" which animates non-sea life animals.
Still Day 6
Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Now we have another "creation" by God. This is man in His [God's] own image.
Animals were not created in God's own image, although God did "create" the life (the chay nephesh) which animates the animals.
Now go to Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
God formed man of the dust of the ground — this is the body of man. Our bodies were not "created" on Day 6. Our bodies were fashioned out of something that was already in existence (the dust of the ground — created in Gen 1:1).
and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life — God breathed life into man.
and man became a living soul — the words "living soul" are the Hebrew words chay nephesh. God did not "create" the soul life of man (that which animates the body). The chay nephesh which enlivens our bodies is the same chay nephesh God created on Day 5 ... the same chay nephesh which gives life to sea life and winged fowl (Day 5) and also beasts, cattle, creeping things (Day 6).
So what was created in man on Day 6?
What is interesting about Gen 2:7 is that God specifically points out that He breathed into the nostrils of man ... something God did not do to sea life or animals.
Another interesting fact is that in Gen 2:7, what God breathed into the nostrils of man was the breath of lives. In the Hebrew, the word "life" is plural. So God breathed lives into man.
One "life" breathed into man was the chay nephesh, the life that enlivens the body and this life is the same life that is in all animals.
The other "life" breathed into man was the life that was the image of God. — So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them (Gen 1:27).
Does this make sense to you? I hope/pray I am communicating this effectively ...
God loves his animals.
Are they also eternal? IDK but God does seem to include them in important covenants. Like after the flood He said
Genesis 9:9 And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;
Genesis 9:10 And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.
Genesis 9:9 And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you;
Genesis 9:10 And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth.
Genesis 9:11 And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth.
Genesis 9:12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:
Genesis 9:13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth.
Genesis 9:14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud:
Genesis 9:15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.
Genesis 9:16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth.
