I hate to break it to you Einstein but there’s a difference between stays saved and staying saved. Stays saved means saved; a one time occurrence; you’re saved. And not for nothing it’s a stupid, unnecessary description. Staying saved however is an acronym for maintaining your salvation. Big big difference. You’re welcome.

So by what you are saying: A person gets saved at a point in time and now he stays saved, but that is not staying saved.

LOL! I was trying to speak of understanding what a person says in English. You are bringing in theological biases ("an acronym"), and you may do that if you wish. I hold no hard feelings . . . ;):)

Hebrews 5
9 And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him,

-This scripture means EXACTLY what it says. No filter necessary through erroneous paradigms.
-obedience is after first belief. Obedience is ongoing.
-Why do you call me Lord, Lord, and not DO what I say?
-2Thess2v13 But we are [f]bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth,
Salvation through sanctification......
That is absurd.
Wow..... your Bible must not have name Jesus in it anywhere.

What about the other jester that just laughed at the biblical truth I gave him..his laughter will be turned to mourning......he will weep and beg because he rejects the simplicity found in Christ

An observation. Man made rules can be used to define sin.
Sadly though some speak on Gods behalf they are unaware of what they are doing.

Yes I see it.... what they should take seriously they laugh at... yet they seriously think they are carrying a cross to earn salvation.

Luke 6
46 “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say? 47 Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: 48 He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. 49 But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it [k]fell. And the ruin of that house was great.”

2 Thessalonians 2

9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

There are two camps, which God will sort out at the appropriate time. The Wheat and the Tares. The Sheep and the Goats. The Sons and the Slaves.
Those who defend their sin nature are in one camp, and those who crucify the old man and pick up their cross daily in the other. God knows who are His.

I would like to interject and NOTE for the salvation losers that say sin affects salvation...

THE Corinthian ASSEMBLY, Identified as saved believers and a N.T. Church had SOME 15 errors...INCLUDING Fornication, A corruption of the Lord's SUPPER, SEXUAL Immorality and YET they are called SAVED and identified as a N.T. Church.....

THEY are also called CARNAL and IMMATURE.....

WAKE UP........YOU are DEVALUING JESUS and HIS BLOOD and your INSOLENCE will be met with the FURY of the LAMB!
Paul called Corinth to repent, which they did and abandon the sinful behaviour they followed.
If they had not repented they would have lost their position.

Luke 9
23 Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me. 24 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will save it. 25 For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and is himself destroyed or lost? 26 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, of him the Son of Man will be ashamed when He comes in His own glory, and in His Father’s, and of the holy angels.

- you are proven to be a false prophet by your words. Pretty much everything you say can be refuted with scripture.....and easily.
-the question that arises to me is this: Are you simply ignorant of the scriptures? Deceived? Or are you purposely deceiving?

Matthew 11
20 Then He began to rebuke the cities in which most of His mighty works had been done, because they did not repent: 21 “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. 22 But I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you. 23 And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades; for if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. 24 But I say to you that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment than for you.

- I think the Capernaum complex is alive and well.

The person who is truly born again has died at the foot of the cross with Jesus and then born again into new life with Him.

Keep coming against me no worries... I am a mild mannered person generally speaking but for the Gospel I do not back down.

I believe 2Th2:13 says, "unto salvation in sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth"

...the bold/underline, as I understand it, is referring to the "positional 'sanctification' [/'set apart']" thing.
