John 3:16-18 is not about God's universal love (there is no such thing).

Yeshua ain't that white. Being a carpenter and spending so much time in His land you have to brown Him up a bit. And this handsome dude is not it either. " He grew up before him like a tender shoot, and like a root out of dry ground. He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him, nothing in his appearance that we should desire him." Let's get the truth right about the One who is the Way the Truth and the Life.
You should google pictures of Jesus from different cultures. Like ancient japan or China or Africa. It’s fascinating how many faces Jesus has.

We all picture a person to whom we can relate wether it’s accurate or not.

If I weren’t to show an Asian child a picture of Santa but I told them about him would they picture a fat, Rosy cheeked fellow.... or a skinny Asian man with a red coat?

It doesn’t change that Jesus is king. And one day we will see him and yet will we all see the same thing? Who knows.

I think the whole point is missed. Magenta sought to bless with a picture of the Lord, sending a blessing to the writer and now people are making a problem out of it.

Why are people always having to point out what’s “wrong” with something rather than to see the spirit behind an action? This is exactly why Jesus came to teach us the spirit of the law and to keep us from being dead, white washed pharaceutical tombs.

so you're an "open theist" -- you don't believe God is omniscient, and you think you get around the obvious blasphemy by claiming knowledge doesn't exist until mankind creates it by his own decisions? so that man is ultimately the creator of information, and God is stuck in time & mentally subservient to its flow, constantly growing in knowledge as mankind creates it?
you say '
God knows as much as is possible to know, but since man is absolutely free it is impossible for God to know what man thinks, believes or does before he thinks it, does it or believes it'

that's hogwash, John. any one single fulfilled prophecy destroys that view.
I could’ve told you he was an open theist a while ago. :(

Does that mean going by what Scripture says? That’s me.

Do you have an answer for Nineveh and God changing His mind? Do you believe this? Or is this another man made ism to explain away the plain Scripture reading?

I just go by Scripture.
great!

The lot is cast into the lap;
but the whole disposing thereof is of the Lord.
(Proverbs 16:33)

does this say God has no idea what a dice roll will turn out to be?

Still no answer for Jonah?

It’s not, He’s neither. I just see it as He has chosen to limit His knowledge.

you think God blinds Himself?

He that formed the eye, shall He not see?
(Psalm 94:9)

weird.

there is no creature hidden from His sight,
but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.

(Hebrews 4:13)

what does Proverbs 16:33 say?
Still no answer for Jonah? I’m not trying to be difficult brother, I’m trying to let Scripture stand.

As far as proverbs 16:33, I guess God disposes of things that should not be.

God disposes of things?

man, i am sure you have heard this before, but seriously, if you can't understand Elizabethan English, you should try a different translation.

All places yield to him ere he sits down;
And the nobility of Rome are his:
The senators and patricians love him too:
The tribunes are no soldiers; and their people
Will be as rash in the repeal, as hasty
To expel him thence. I think he'll be to Rome
As is the osprey to the fish, who takes it
By sovereignty of nature. First he was
A noble servant to them; but he could not
Carry his honours even: whether 'twas pride,
Which out of daily fortune ever taints
The happy man; whether defect of judgment,
To fail in the disposing of those chances
Which he was lord of; or whether nature,
Not to be other than one thing, not moving
From the casque to the cushion, but commanding peace
Even with the same austerity and garb
As he controll'd the war; but one of these—
As he hath spices of them all, not all,
For I dare so far free him—made him fear'd,
So hated, and so banish'd: but he has a merit,
To choke it in the utterance. So our virtues
Lie in the interpretation of the time:
And power, unto itself most commendable,
Hath not a tomb so evident as a chair
To extol what it hath done.
that's Shakespeare, from Corriolanus. are you able to comprehend what Tullus is saying about the general?

" . . to fail in the disposing of those chances which he was lord of . . "

do you think he is saying pride causes this man to not be able to get rid of the chances his fortune awards him?

or do you understand full well and play coy?

Still no answer for Jonah?
i've already answered you about Jonah.

no, God isn't a liar, and no, God isn't ignorant.
Ninevah was judged and Ninevah was destroyed. read Nahum.
ask yourself why God sent Jonah to Ninevah in the first place? He spared her for a generation because the Word He sent through His prophet did not fail to accomplish His purpose.

God does not fail, and He doesn't speak without knowledge. the point of Jonah is not that man tells God what to think and to do.

God had every intention to destroy Nineveh in forty days as He said. If you understand the seed line, you would know that Nineveh was out to destroy Israel. God, protecting the seed, was going to destroy them first. Nineveh repented, so God repented. The entire OT is concerning the seed line.

God either lied, or He simply changed His mind based upon Nineveh’s response to His word. See Jeremiah 18 for a look into God’s heart.

Yes God was going to destroy them all, it's what He said, they repented, so he saved them, correct.

But this doesn't mean that God isn't fully Sovereign, It was always God's Sovereign Will to save them, indeed everything and everyone is under absolute sovereign control, God is in Control of all things.

Whatever comes to pass is according to God's eternal decree, its all planned and executed perfectly.

what He actually said was 40 days and Ninevah shall be overthrown

what actually happened? within 40 days, Ninevah recognized a different authority.
