Insult... how is the truth insulting?

I preach Christ and secure salvation in Him... a gift that cannot be earned... what do you preach?

....becoming perfect to be saved.. that is not the Gospel... the Gospel is accepting and receiving Christ's perfection.
Typing isn't preaching but yes, salvation cannot be earned. As you know, the personal attacks are the insults I speak of. Being saved, having experienced the baptisms - Jesus came to baptize us with His Spirit, as it is written - we go on to perfection, maturity, completeness, which is well beyond sin. We don't go on to perfection to be saved, no, we go on to perfection because we are saved.

In all this, we keep ourselves in the love of God, as it is written. It's false to think there is salvation outside the love of God. The church at Laodicea was a prime example of the complacency coming from false doctrine, which is how I grew up. I was heaven bound! But I didn't realize I was naked, blind, and poor. Like many, I confessed Jesus had saved me, but I was a slave to sin, doing the works of the devil while my pastor told me I was righteous with Christ's righteousness. I lived according to the sinful nature but knew nothing of living according to the Spirit.

The letters to the churches apply to us today. He knows our deeds and He will give to everyone according to His conduct and as his deeds deserve. Faith changes us. It takes us from Satan's kingdom, which we are all born in, to God's where Jesus is our King. Selfishly wanting Him as Savior but not as Lord leads to hell. But a disciple of Jesus isn't selfish. He denies himself. He has lost his life; he has lost everything, as Jesus said.

Paul said, "If by any means I may attain to the resurrection of the dead." Eternal life is through faith in Jesus. Well, other things happen in the life of those who believe. Having repented and been baptized, rivers of living water flow from their innermost being. You have eternal life? John 7:37-39 must be working too.

Believing in Jesus, we are born of God and those who are born of God have been set free from sin. They are not slaves to it anymore because of grace. A slave does not have a permanent place in the household. Everyone who names the name of the Lord must abstain from unrighteousness.

If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer, as it written. But if I had beheld sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. So, we see awesome fruit from the one who really believes. And they fear God, too, since that endures forever. We kiss the Son, lest He be angry and we be destroyed in our own way. For His anger can flare up in a moment, but blessed are all who take refuge in Him. Yes, so faith is to stay right there next to Him. To abide, not stray. The life of faith is as a distance race, not a static position; a race run out of love.

The world doesn't believe because it sees people who claim to have faith, who claim to be righteous, doing the same things it does. A people for whom Jesus isn't King - walk in their own way today. That's not the Kingdom of God. By faith, we are to live today as Jesus did. He is the pattern Son. And we are to do His works. So be it, Lord.

D is somewhat inaccurate. You can't put Christ on only on Sundays. I was saying something else, and phrased it wrong.
Yet I see this as an issue,

you put Christ on, or as we used to say it’s like us as the wife only go to see our husband for a few hour on Sunday and an hour wed night, and want nothing to do with him the rest of the week, we think because we give him those few hours, we are being good spouses, and should be praised for what we give.

and then wonder why we never grow,

No, the whole counsel of the Bible says it all. The promise is conditional on continuing to believe.

24As for you, let that abide in you which you heard from the beginning. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you, you also will abide in the Son and in the Father. - 1 John 2:24
The whole counsel of God does not include pitting scripture against scripture. We need to properly harmonize scripture scripture in order to reach the proper conclusion on doctrine.

1 John 2:24 actually supports my argument. If what you heard from the beginning abides in you (descriptive of genuine believers) you will also abide in the Son and in the Father. *Also see 1 John 4:13.

The Galatians and the Corinthians were really saved, yet the word they heard did not continue in them. So, obviously, the 2nd type of soil can be the soil of a saved person.

And they also show us that 1 John 2:19 can't mean that every person who stops believing was really a fake believer and was never really saved in the first place. And even if you argue that they came back, that still nullifies the once saved always saved argument because it says leaving shows them to have not really been real believers.
Not everyone was saved in those churches,

your in error.

I don’t need to add anything. Sealed until the redemption of the purchased possession/unto the day of redemption says it all. :) (Ephesians 1:13-14; 4:30) Now show me the word “unsealed.”
Don’t you know that the term “until the day of redemption” means literally ”until the day you unearn your seal”

shame on you! you should know this!

I cant believe these guys. SERIOUSLY, they all assume that everyone in the churches (visible churches) is SAVED. When its churches in bible times EVERYONE IS SAVED, when its churches today NO ONE IS SAVED.

Gotta love the way it goes. O WELL, works salvationists are the majority of Christendom, EVERY DENOMINATION preaches it, I think Baptists are the only ones who hold to eternal security, and even there not ALL BAPTISTS, there are so many different variations of baptists its CRAZY.
These same guys always talk about how the majority is wrong and act like WE are the majority.

@Chris1975 why spamming the thread? Coming to terms with the true Gospel of salvation that is secure in Him apart from any and all works?

Feeling overwhelmed by the truth you have been shown?
I was not going to respond to him, but was thinking of letting him know this is a justification thread not a sanctification thread. And everyone here promotes the verses he spammed us with, so he is basically in the wrong thread spamming to a wall.

Well I pray Jesus removes the blinders then... I present the Gospel saved by grace through faith apart from any and all works... no one, not a single one of us, gets to boast!
They love to boast, then claim they are not boasting. And we are mean because we hate them for loving god

they treat our words like they treat scripture, twist it in any way shape or fathom where it benefits them.

So you were not saved because you kept sinning and now you are saved because you are making yourself righteous..... is that what you are stating here...

This spiritual bum quoting the OT. You wanna talk about intellectual dishonesty? Merry Christmas to you as well PS. Last time I checked you thought the OT god was evil? Did you man up and admit God COMMANDED to WIPE OUT the entire CANAANITE nation? Punished Saul later down the line for refusing to take out everyone?

Baptist’s are not only ones, I am not baptist. But agree, most traditional denominations teach some form of works.
