I just wonder to myself, as I do some work on my computer and flip in and out of CC, how people can just nullify the work of the cross

and make it of no effect, in print for everyone to see, even Jesus.... Jesus who died on the cross and suffered beyond human

comprehension to give those who trust in Him for "it" "the free gift of salvation" so demeaned>>>> truly incomprehensible.

This accusation against Christ Jesus, that we must add to His WORK, and that we are still in bondage and straddling some imaginary concocted lane of maybe saved or maybe not saved due to our effort..... is truly repugnant.

You only have to fear losing your justification in Christ if you stop believing that He is the only way to be justified before the Father.


...or...........to doubt our Lord is to trust in anything else. Which the believing Galatians fell away to. Justification only comes through faith in the forgiveness of God, not works, or anything else. That is what we are not to doubt or disbelieve. You are not condemned by not believing in 'once saved always saved'. You are condemned by not believing that having your sins forgiven by faith in Christ is the only way to be declared righteous before God.

Yep, and the Corinthian Church was the MOST MESSED UP OF ALL. My Sister-inlaw once said to me, "I do not see what is wrong with our Church? We are just a modern day Corinthian Church." She got no argument from me. Later the Pastor got fired for misuse of funds, the Music Director turned out to be Gay, CONSTANT bickerings among the Congregation, Men unqualified to be ELDERS, etc., etc.

No one more than Paul knew he was eternally secure in his Salvation. Much of 1 Corinthians 9 deals with REWARDS, NOT LOSS OF SALVATION!

Salvation is NOT a prize to be won. It is a fee gift given by God. Paul feared being disqualified for different rewards.

A free gift given irrevocably........these guys sicken me the way they devalue JESUS

Listen....I am a words guy....and I read clearly what you said about Ralph yesterday....you were supporting him and promoting him and we all told you he peddles a false, self maintained losable salvation....end of story.....go read the last couple of pages and then defend him if you can.....the crap he is peddling is as false as it comes.....by doctrine he is NOT a brother....and he peddles a salvation that may be LOST by what WE DO or don't do.

I agree with Posthuman, they are addressing, all the Disciples of Jesus Christ, however SOME OF THEM ARE NOT SAVED.

Both WAYS, are only filled with disciples of Jesus Christ, and unbelievers are not even in this picture.

This absolutely should be read in CONTEXT, because the MANY in verse 22 refers to the MANY in verse 13.

THEY ALL ARE DISCIPLES, which only means FOLLOWERS, and does not MEAN that they are SAVED.

HOWEVER, only those who enter the small Gate onto the narrow WAY, are Born Again Christians.
