The bible says that The LORD HIMSELF will descend from heaven with a command/cry with the VOICE of an archangel and the dead In CHRIST shall rise first and then those Christians that are still alive at the time will be caught up to meet them In the clouds to a GLORIOUS meeting with the LORD(Imagine that) and so shall we EVER be with the LORD.
So then that sounds like the great tribulation Is not for christians.

The great tribulation would have to be for the born again Christians, and not the hypocrites.
Rev 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
Rev 12:8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
Rev 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.
Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
This war has not happened yet and will happen halfway through the 7 years period because during the first half the world hindered the Gospel and went by the new age movement, and a hate crime to preach anything contrary to it for they will say it is not the truth, and they want peace.
Rev 18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
Dan 8:23 And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.
Dan 8:24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.
2Th 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
2Th 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2Th 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2Th 2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
During the first three and one half years the world went by the new age movement, and hindered the Gospel of Christ on a world wide level, and anything else contrary to the new age movement, so at the end of the first half God allows the man of sin, New Age Christ to rule over them.
Which then war will break out in heaven and the devils will be cast to earth, and Satan appears as the man of sin, and the devils will deceive all people who do not love God to follow the beast which is the strong delusion that God will send all people who do not love the truth.
Rev 13:7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.
Dan 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time(three and one half years).
Dan 12:7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half(three and one half years); and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
During the last three and one half years the beast makes war against the saints, and will persecute all people that keep the commandments of God, and the testimony of Jesus Christ.
That means when Satan appears as the man of sin, New Age Christ, there is a dividing between the world and the saints.
Since God is giving strong delusion to all who love not the truth but have pleasure in righteousness then the world will follow the beast, and all the hypocrites will follow the beast.
That means only those that are born again Christians, led of the Spirit and acting like Christ will be left, and the only people the beast will persecute and make war with them.
There will be no other people the beast will persecute but born again Christians for all the world and hypocrites will be given strong delusion to follow the beast because they did not love the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness, so the only people left not on the beast's side is born again Christians.
There is no middle ground but either a born again Christian or following the beast when the beast persecutes, and there is not going to be Muslims floating around, or Buddhists, or any other religion for they will all be on the beast's side for they cannot fight against the strong delusion for not loving the truth.
And the tribulation is for the saints not the world, which Jesus said it is the greatest persecution against the truth, and the saints.
