but He saw that the fourth day was good.
Genesis doesn't say that about the second day - the day in which He separated the waters from the waters. and on the first, He saw the light was good, and divided it from darkness.
Iron sparks don't sharpen swords. Swords are sharpened by removal of fine particles of steel which under the right conditions will heat enough to glow.He saw the light coming from the Sun that revealed the division is good. Just like the iron sparks that sharpen swords .
Posthuman Regarding post your post #192
I would respectfully suggest that the knowledge of Good vs Evil is in knowing their state of innocency. There was no wickedness in them before Satan entered the garden, they had never been tested by evil, they did not kill they did not engage in sex, they never lied, they never harmed any one or anything by bad deeds, speech or even by thoughts. They lived in perfect bliss with God who is holy. There was no death in the garden because there was no sin. The wages of sin is death, as there was no sin no death, they were like the angels whose number do not alter, angels cannot die, angels don't have babies, their numbers are stable they live forever. Adam would have continued to live for ever in communion with His maker if he had not been deceived by Eve. Satan rebelled and sought to spoil God's pleasure in the garden, God allowed Satan to enter and spoil, but God had a plan to rescue that lost paradise through His own son, who agreed to save man, to die in man's stead on the cross, so that man might be saved.
Adam would
have continued to live for ever in communion with His maker if he had not been deceived
by Eve.
Good point lightning is power, see it for yourself
Let the scripture speak for itself, i think I’ve reached that point, of verses before
Luke 10
17And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. 18And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. 19Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
in its simplest explanation.
1 Cor 15
But if there is no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen
Christ also says that when He returns every eye will see Him, like lightning that flashes all across the sky. What He means here may be related
Matthew 24:27
For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
I accept tha Eve was deceived, even then she knew she was rebelling,
and Adam chose to believe the lie.

IMO Adam didn't believe the lie at all. To me that doesn't fit with him being not deceived. Instead he knew he was doing wrong and did it anyway, 'listening to his wife' - if he is not deceived, and she is, then what she tells him is not the lie, but something else.
IMO she asked him to help/save her when she, with open eyes, realized she was poisoned with death, and that her sin could not be hidden ((i.e. she is naked, not covered)) - and Adam chose to join her in sin.
Can you enlighten for me pleaseA Scripture says Christ descended 2 witness 2 the dead I believe. Maybe that's how

Adam was not deceived.
1 Timothy 2:13-14
For Adam was formed first, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression.
That's very often overlooked, and contradicted by popular interpretation, but it becomes an important point as we dig deeper into this; Adam understood exactly what he was doing, and had a reason to do it that wasn't based on a false comprehension
But God is Spirit, so there is still a question, why did Christ resurrect His physical body? Why not just as Spirit?
For some reason, God wants us to have bodies, not only now, but also in the resurrection
I did not ask what the "Believers Bible Commentary" stated. I asked you:I have to admit to consulting the "Believers Bible Commentary," I think the first two paragraphs answer your question?
You know this only because you live after the fall of Adam. I believe that if Adam and Eve had never sinned, they would still be alive to this day, and all of creation would have continued uncorrupted.Because I know this universe and everything in it was never meant to be forever.
Yes. Adam chose to join Eve. Adam became "like" Eve.IMO Adam didn't believe the lie at all. To me that doesn't fit with him being not deceived.
