Elder’s Meditation of the Day November 6
“It is well to be good to women in the strength of our manhood because we must sit under their hands at both ends of our lives.”
–He Dog, OGLALA LAKOTA The women bring us into this life and nurture us as we grow up. When we reach our manhood, she supports us and sings the songs to help the family grow. The Elders say we must look at the woman in a sacred way. We must realize how special her powers are in brining forth life. The woman will bring balance to a man. The woman will help him see. It is said, behind every successful man is a supporting woman. Maybe we should examine how we are thinking about women. The Great Spirit says we should honor them. Are we respecting and honoring our women today?

Grandmother, Grandfather thank you for our women. Today, let me honor them.

"And, should the Holy Spirit come upon ones life, there will be no doubt,
for ones life shall forever be changed, and your attention will move to
new ways never thought of by ones own self. And, make no mistake, new
challenges are not meant to be easy...believe it!"

The LORD Delivers Men from Manifold Troubles.

1Oh give thanks to the LORD, for He is good,
For His lovingkindness is everlasting.

2Let the redeemed of the LORD say so,
Whom He has redeemed from the hand of the adversary

3And gathered from the lands,
From the east and from the west,
From the north and from the south.

4They wandered in the wilderness in a desert region;
They did not find a way to an inhabited city.

5They were hungry and thirsty;
Their soul fainted within them.

6Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble;
He delivered them out of their distresses.

7He led them also by a straight way,
To go to an inhabited city.

8Let them give thanks to the LORD for His lovingkindness,
And for His wonders to the sons of men!

9For He has satisfied the thirsty soul,
And the hungry soul He has filled with what is good.

3) But the Lord is faithful, and He will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one. 4) And we have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do what we command. 5) May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.

2 Samuel 22:7 In my distress I called upon the LORD; I cried out to my God. And from His temple He heard my voice, and my cry for help reached His ears.

Seven Minutes with God

First 30 Seconds: Ask God to calm your heart and make you open and receptive to His presence and His will. Next 4 Minutes: Read the Gospel of John with these questions in mind:  “What kind of Personality does God have-to whom I have given my life?”  “Is these anything here that speaks to me for today? Now?” Next 2 ½ minutes: Prayer -- ACTS;
A
doration: Just tell God that you love Him-in your own words.
C
onfession: Not just, “Lord, forgive me for my sins.” Be specific and search your heart for the things you have done and be brutally honest in laying these things out before God. Then, when you have given Him honestly all these things in your consciousness let Him have them. They are now His responsibility. Yours is to live for Him today. T hanksgiving: Again, be specific. S upplication: First for others. Keep a prayer list. When you don’t know what to pray for people you love, you can put them in your cupped hands in your imagination, and imagine God with His hands cupped, then simply place your loved one in His hands and say nothing. Then for yourself. The amazing thing about this order of praying is that by the time you get around to yourself, many times you may find yourself saying only, “And as for me, Lord, Thy Will be done.” At any rate, it is good to end your prayers with that statement. © 2001 J. Don't forget to put some praise into your prayer. Some in the front, in the middle and especially at the end. At the stating of each thankful item is good too. He like lots of it!

PRAISE HIM!!!
