Bread Crumbs “Waiting on the Answer”
The Scriptures declare that our Heavenly Father is a God who answers prayer. We are repeatedly exhorted to ask and keep on asking, no matter how long the situation may last. We are to seek and keep on seeking, regardless of the extent of the silence that echoes in our souls. We are encouraged to knock and keep on knocking even though our spiritual knuckles are scarred with no adequate answer forthcoming. Waiting on the Lord is never easy. At times, the Lord takes us far beyond the time frame that we expected, and still we have no answer. It is then that I am comforted by the knowledge that He has never deserted me or failed me. In every circumstance, He has always come through. So battered and bruised by the spiritual warfare I head once again to my private place of prayer. There I once again lay out my needs before the Lord. I openly declare that I am depending upon Him to do for me what I cannot do for myself. Then, as His presence fills my heart and soothes the pain of waiting, hope is once again renewed in my soul. For me, there is nothing left to do but to keep on asking and keep on believing.
Matthew 7:7 - Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
