I think you meant degree, actually its goatskin well mine was. It just looked like paper to me though. The value of education doesnt mean you dont have to work. It just means your mind is free to explore. The okder generarion dont really understand this cos they think its means you get more money. Well no, I dont even make living wage, and i have heaps of degrees lol
I don't think it means freedom. I think it means indoctrination into a leftist belief system that ALWAYS fails.

Growing up certainly we received the message that the world was not going to last much longer, that it was overpopulated and too hard to fix and that we would actually be lucky to see the 21st century.
All of this was simply Left-Liberal propaganda to create apprehension rather than a desire to focus on the real issues. The world is NOT over-populated, but those at the top in every country have grabbed all the resources for themselves, while allowing their countrymen to suffer.

Frankly, classifying people of the basis of generation is prejudicial and also foolish. While it is an easy way to identify others, it has no depth. So now we have Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Generation X, Generation Y, Generation Z, etc. But this is all superficial.

What is clear from looking around us is that the more recent generations believe (1) that the world owes them a living and more and (2) everyone is a victim so no one should be held accountable for anything. The Melt-Down of the Millennials at the defeat of Hillary Clinton and the victory of Donald Trump was PATHETIC. Wanting to have *safe spaces* and to curl up with their teddy bears and security blankets, while swallowing all the Left-Liberal nonsense without even asking whether they were being manipulated by the media and the social media. All this has been accompanied by a rejection of traditional values and Christianity.

I think classifying people dehumanises them. The Nazis did this - pretty scary stuff.

I am ok with classifying and being classified. It is the basis of analysing anything.

I am classified as a baby-boomer, born 1962. My father who is in his 80's says he feels sorry for my generation due to the financial and many other pressures we endure today. I agree.

I know the group of Boomers I ran with were movers and shakers meaning.... We always had a cause to help make changes. I had to wear dresses to school and up north it's cold we fought to be able to wear slacks to keep our legs warm and it seemed that a year or two after we started things it would change.

We had other causes too and I am happy to have been a part of helping to make changes along the way that others behind us took for granted.

Are we the lucky generation? The ones who got it easy? And will leave a legacy of problems?
Climate change protestors usually come from a younger demograph . Younger people say they will never own their own home. Life is harder for them perhaps.[/QUO

Does the declaration mean they have no hope in owning their own homes?

I haven't the slightest idea what you are talking about..... but if you have to spend the whole week doing something (even if it is only reading) then you are not getting whatever it is you get every Thursday for free. Since you say you don't even make a living wage doing that, I would say you are now at the beginning of your belated lesson about one of the facts of life. "No work, no eat."
Actually we get free pizzas for reading books.

I also get paid to study. And we are getting free lunch when we do our presentations.
Its not enough to buy a house, but I dont want to buy a house as I am already happy with the one Im living in. What are you on about?

If you want to be a millionaire, baiscally you have to gamble. And even if you take risks in business, you might win big, but you also LOSE big.

A steady job is different and there are not much steady jobs for millenials these days. We have to start from ZERO. Hard work is no guarantee because even if you work hard, you often dontget anywhere but stressed out working for someone else.

Perhaps because of bing in my generation, we were once referred to as "war babies," think more in terms of being part of the generation of mankind, and that is about it.

Jesus said once, this generation will not pass before all is accomplished. I always thought in terms of the entire generation in the flesh. That would be from Adam to the Final Trump of God.

We belong to Jesus, Yeshua, first and because of out being all components members, of this body, we also very much belong to each other. YOu are not Y or x
TO ME, YOU ARE FAMILY IN THE mESSIAH. bUT YOU KNOW THAT. aLL LOVE IN yESHUA, jESUS, AND ALL BLESSINGS..j
I thought generation meant the chosen generation i.e the Israelites. As distinct from the gentiles who were not chosen.

Today people say a generation is arbitraitly divided into every few decades. But thats silly because people are all born at different times. The biblical sense means offspring. We only now meaning generarion as people born at different times to put them in a box. But it actually God did mean His people, offspring of Him as opposed to the evil generation who are offspring of Satan. (Spiritually)

For people who live in the developed world, all generations are blessed.

Try living in Africa where women are regularly raped and people killed and
abducted. Or India with lots of corruption at all levels of government.

Or living in poverty with no money and food, living in a shed made or
corrugated steal or cow pats.

As for the question of if some generations are easier than others.
Each generation has its own problems.

Some had to deal with no vaccinations where simple infections killed you as there
Was no antibiotics.

Others had to live through two world wars.

Still others were around in the Cold War with the threat of nuclear annihilation.

We have an abundant of resources in the west. It’s how they are distributed which
is the problem, that’s the fault of government not previous generations.

We all know this world is winding down and will end some day, that’s biblical.
But God is in control.

Yes you were the lucky ones.
Life is way harder for us who came after. And yes we have to deal with all the fallout from your generations overconsumption in general. Being such a big cohort you always got the lions share of everything.

God may still have a purpose for you, the baby boomer generation now entering retirement. But its an awful lot of you for us to support and care for in twilight years. If youve made it thus far, consider yourself blessed. As the previous generation were wiped out with the war.

If shopping online is all you have to worry about then you have it way easy.
Wow sorry but what you said is very offensive. I count it a great privilege to look after
my aunt in her twilight years. It’s what family do, that’s not a burden. It’s called love!
Remember you will be old one day too.

So true, in some countries people are taken from public housing, entire families, uprooted and moved to other cities so investors can rebuild resell and make a hefty profit off of the displaced poor who are left worse off than when thye were in their own homes and neighborhoods,.
In other countries people live in sewers and under bredges due to the great profits being made by those who have. Poor people are simply not important in any of these countries.

This is not political so no one come back with some left or right accusations, the world has become totally heartless, and what is coming is much worse…......If someone such as I is able to see this coming for over fifty years, there must be a lot others who frealize even more clearly than i. Keep the faith in our Savior. God blee all, amen.

Looks like we are in the minority here. Talking about baby boomers or millenials is unbiblical apparently.
