Not really. Why not just call them by their user names? For exampe, would you like it if someone continually called you "LosingoutonGrace"?
Perhaps I am more of an alley cat... so not so easily taken aback
I agree totally, but I just think we can deal with them without making fun of them or their user names.. :)
Yeah, I am bad, I find it funny.:giggle:

C'mon people, let's be respectful of Pisteuo and Limmuwd. You may disagree with them, but there's no need to belittle them by calling them "pistachio" and "lemonade stand"..

Y'all are better than that. :)
Pistachio and I are cool with each other. Signed, his light skinned friend. 😎

On another note:
praise openly, correct privately.

Pistachio, where do you come up with this stuff? I think your heart and intentions are good but you have skewed beliefs.
It has taken 33 years under the best Bible teacher the world has ever been given, with the Spirit of Christ, with the mind of Christ. I've poured all of that onto you all here. It would be unrealistic to expect you all to emediately get it. But, it should be enough to get your attention!

I have alot more to share, but I think if your going to respond to what I've shared, It's been enough. Hope to see you on the same path we meet on the other side, my lightskinned brother.

The Holy Spirit is the best teacher the world has ever been given with regards to learning and understanding Scripture. That is unequivocally indisputable. 😎

Another idiotic statement by Pastrami right here in the above post......no one buys your blather pal....nor your faux definitions of the words you have no understanding of......what a joke!
Ah, you finally introduce yourself and you chose that path?

I was hoping , just a little, that you'd choose the other one.

You conveniently left out, In the beginning.
So, was the Man Jesus there? Was He a Man that became a baby that became a Man again?

Of course not. If fact He told Nicodemus that that isn't possible.

No. The Word, the Logos, existed; but NOT the Man Jesus, who had to prove Himself faithful and obedient to God to be "made Lord and Christ." (Acts 2:36). Jesus had to "obey" One "greater" than Himself (so "co-equal" is not Biblical). As the Scripture declares, concerning the Man Jesus, "He humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death— even death on a cross." - Phil 2:8 NRSV

He had to be "obedient"? Oh yes, to the One who was greater than Himself, and the One to whom even the Resurrected Christ wil be "subject to" in Eternity. (1Cor 15:28)

The teaching of a three-in-one-God is not Scriptural. Even Jesus clearly taught that (Mark 12:29)
There is a Father God, and His Son Jesus. Personally, 1Cor 15:20-28, John 17, John 20:17, Rom 8, Acts 2:36, & the following passage from Hebrews have been greatly influential in shaping my understanding of the relationship between the Father & Son.

"So also Christ did not glorify Himself to become High Priest, but it was He who said to Him:
“You are My Son,
Today I have begotten You.”
6 As He also says in another place:
“You are a priest forever
According to the order of Melchizedek”;
7 who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because of His godly fear, 8 though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. 9 And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him, 10 called by God as High Priest “according to the order of Melchizedek,” 11 of whom we have much to say, and hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing."
- Heb 5:5-11

Tell me, friends, can we all agree that this portion of Hebrews is of the inspired Word of God?

Does this passage not plainly tell us that the Man Jesus was "perfected" here on earth? And that He "became" something that He had not been before? That there was a specific "day" when He became God's Son? And that "obedience" is required to receive "eternal salvation"? (And there are many other passages that confirm this throughout the Bible).

Truly, we do ourselves a favor when we study and receive the "whole counsel of God."

Peace & Blessings to all who walk with Jesus.

Wrong.

You once again demonstrate lack of understanding .... this time on >>>>>>> the dual nature of Jesus.

Brother you got no idea how many times they've told me that whole YELLING thing when writing in big letters. I AINT YELLING. I am quiet I am just typing in large letters, get a hold of that!

I dont care about internet etiquette its GARBAGE to me. Paul wrote Galatians in caps lock was he yelling?

Galatians 6:11
See with what large letters I am writing to you with my own hand.

Writing in large letters is BIBLICAL thats what we do know. You heard it here first.

I am OLD SCHOOL, when typing in bold letters only meant it was something important that I wanted to make sure your reader did not miss.

AND I HAD five different colors of Highlighters in my pocket, during every SERMON. AND usually used all five, depending on the message.

Green was for what GOD wanted us to do.
Pink was for what GOD did not want us to do.
Gold/Orange was for Promises of GOD.
Blue was for Principles to live by.
Yellow for was blessing from GOD.

Man I had that NIV Thompson Chain, full of colors by the time I bought a new Bible, and gave up on the Highlighters.

I refused to adapt to the FACE BOOK definition of what they meant. Never have had a FACE BOOK ACCOUNT.

the dual nature of Jesus.
So... you admit that Jesus and God are not identical and equal. That Jesus, God's Son, is Human and Divine, and the God is Spirit.

You are beginning to understand how correct I am. Thanks for following along.

With humility and a healthy "fear of the Lord" comes Wisdom. True Wisdom of God, not man.

May His Light continue to show you the Way and reveal His Truth.

"My Father is greater than I." - John 14:28

And for those who claim this was before His Crucifixion and Resurrection, we have the Words of Christ Jesus after the Father raised His obedient Son from the dead -

‘I ascend to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.’” - John 20:17

All we can say to the Word is "yea and Amen."

Jesus has a God who is greater than Himself.

Denial of this Truth is not a 'dig' on me, but a denial of the Word of God.

There have been a couple people here who have had opposite philosophies of what the bible is saying from my understanding, that I ACTUALLY wanted to learn more about.

But it seemed like they were afraid to actually post what they truly believed. So, with my limited attention span, I pretty much forgot about them and what they were trying to present.

I can't keep opposite philosophies in my head for long. They don't match up with what I know is Truth and they get discarded.

I don't know what causes me to make sure I don't leave any stone unturned. I already intuitively know which stone is the correct one. But what if one of those other ones is sort of right too? (It never is)

You have shown again you lack of understanding of what Jesus meant when he spoke these words.

I in no way align myself with your false doctrines.

My paperwork has become far more engaging after reading your post.

Oh sister, if they were false I would steer clear myself! But since Jesus & the Apostles taught the same, then I must as well. :)

And amen. The more I engage you & a couple others on here, and seek the mind of the Lord, and study the Scripture... what I've presented becomes increasingly confirmed as indisputable Truth. Such discussion can be fruitful indeed. I could wish it were a little more civil. Some of the attitudes on this forum honestly leave me wondering what "lord" is directing some of the comments. :(

As always, I'm here to maturely discuss the Word of God, and encourage the saints (as did Paul, John & Peter) to press in and grow in the knowledge of God.

Peace & Blessings.

John 14:28, "The Father is greater than I."
"You heard that I said to you, 'I go away, and I will come to you.' If you loved Me, you would have rejoiced, because I go to the Father; for the Father is greater than I.'" (John 14:28).
Jesus said that the Father was greater than He not because Jesus is not God but because Jesus was also a man, and as a man, He was in a lower position. He was ". . . made for a little while lower than the angels . . ." (Heb. 2:9). Also in Phil. 2:5-8, it says that Jesus "emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men . . ."

Jesus has two natures. Jesus was not denying that He was God. He was merely acknowledging the fact that He was also a man. Jesus is both God and man. As a man, He was in a lesser position than the Father. He had added to Himself human nature (Col. 2:9). He became a man to die for people.

A comparison can be found in the marriage relationship. Biblically, a husband is greater in position and authority than his wife, but, he is no different in nature, and he is no better than she. They share the same nature--being human, and they work together by love.

So, Jesus was not denying that He was God. He was simply acknowledging that He was also a man, and as a man, He was subject to the laws of God so that He might redeem those who were under the law, namely, sinners (Gal. 4:4-5).

For further reading please see The two natures of Jesus.

Scriptures Quoted:
  1. Phil. 2:5-8, "Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, 6who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. 8And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross."
  2. Col. 2:9, "For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form,"
  3. Gal. 4:4-5, "But when the fullness of the time came, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, 5in order that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons."
  4. Heb. 2:9, "But we do see Him who has been made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone." (CARM)

Trouble is you say to encourage the saints but I get the impression that those who do not agree with you, then you disregard as saints and tell them to repent.
