I think your bible is broken: "telos" is the goal/purpose not the abolishment.
Romans 10:4, "For Christ is the end (telos) of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth."
Romans 10:4, "For Jesus is the ultimate result (telos) of the Law unto righteousness for everyone who believes."
1Peter 1:9, "Receiving the end (telos) of your faith, even the salvation of your souls."
1 Peter 1:9, "Receiving the ultimate result (telos) of your faith – the salvation of your souls."
Greek Dictionary (Lexicon-Concordance) - #G5056 telos {tel'-os} from a primary tello (to set out for a definite point or goal)
HELPS Word-studies – 5056 télos (a neuter noun) – properly, consummation (the end-goal, purpose), such as closure with all its results.
I dont expect you to accept this, but "their righteousness" is the man made laws of judaisim. NON Biblical laws.
Matthew 15:1-3, " 1 Then Pharisees and scribes came to Jesus from Jerusalem and said, 2 “Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat.” 3 He answered them, “And why do you break the commandment of God for the sake of your tradition?
Finally God must be writing things on the heart that is abolished huh?
Hebrews 10:16-17, " 16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds,” 17 then he adds, “I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.”
