I have been thinking about this a lot lately.......given such diverse ideas here on CC.
I will state I was indoctrinated with OSAS, and I believed it was true mostly because I had been told it was true and I trusted the person
who told me....... but then I moved beyond the indoctrination and really had that "aha" spiritual moment of it really being revealed to
me by the Holy Spirit in a more personal way through scripture.

AMEN.......I was in "children's church" <---no such thing at 7 and went through the whole "anyone want to be saved raise your hand crap" and then after mumbling a "repeated prayer" that I did not even understand was taken before church as saved and then they immersed me and gave me a bible.......<----how many people will not make it having had this false hope under a "get em saved and add to the roll" theology.......
Anyway....some 12 or 13 years later I realized that I was not saved and actually went to God myself in an honest, truthful prayer in faith.......and a few years later being convicted that my baptism was also invalid after much learning was re-immersed and have not looked back since then......
Jesus saves eternally by faith and it is all his work......this poppycock that we can give it back or forfeit it is ignorant...His righteousness is imputed by faith, we are rendered legally innocent, placed into a position of grace that out runs our sin and HE ABIDES faithful regardless of our stance or walk because HE cannot DENY HIMSELF........HE loses NOTHING, KEEPS US by his power through the faith he BEGINS, FINISHES and COMPLETES in US.......!!!!

I really learned something today in the Sermon. Our Pastor was on vacation, and we had a Guest Pastor fill in, and he was a Baptist, but Pastor Gil has been friends with him for a long time, and invited him to fill in when he was on Vacation. His Sermon was on

Yes the Sanctification of the body is a LIFE LONG WALK TO FOLLOW JESUS, and will not be complete until we get the Glorified BODY at the resurrection.
