Luke 6
Building on a Solid Foundation
46 “So why do you keep calling me ‘Lord, Lord!’ when you don’t do what I say? 47 I will show you what it’s like when someone comes to me, listens to my teaching, and then follows it. 48 It is like a person building a house who digs deep and lays the foundation on solid rock. When the floodwaters rise and break against that house, it stands firm because it is well built. 49 But anyone who hears and doesn’t obey is like a person who builds a house right on the ground, without a foundation. When the floods sweep down against that house, it will collapse into a heap of ruins.”
What is the foundation?

Third, you have titled your first thread with an inflammatory question bordering on heresy, which is a good way to get yourself written off as a self-appointed prophet, whack-job, troll, or otherwise eminently ignorable person.
So, who cares what you think.
Only the weak would succumb to such trivial and minuscule threats.
It's one thing for a baby Christian to speak out of ignorance, but an entirely different matter when an adult Christian chastises the newbie for being ignorant.
Who do you suppose God will chasten more severely?

Luk 12:47 And that servant, which knew his lord's will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes.
Luk 12:48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

Jas 3:1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
Jas 3:2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.

Riddle me this, newbie: why should I care what YOU think?

So, if our foundation is christ, can that foundation ever be broken?
It cannot be broken if the foundation is truly Christ. Sometimes we add to it. Putting carnal ideas into it and they can be broken. Someone can get discouraged and fall way.

But ultimately true foundation in Christ cannot be broken. There is spiritual maturity that comes with this kind of foundation. It is solid.

Was there somewhere you were going with this? Or you just pointing it out?

I did not christ could be broken, or fractured..

But you just showed you think he can.

I will stand on my foundation, because it is unbreakable.

Good luck in your foundation whatever it is

I wrote that mostly for the one you labeled and condemned.
To answer your question, about as much as I suggested the other person care about what you said to him. That being, zero.
But we should care about what is written concerning what we both say and do. Which is why I included scripture.
I am no 1, but the bible is the word of God, and it would behoove us to both listen and do what is written in God's word.

Build Your House on the Rock
Mat 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
Mat 7:25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
Mat 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
Mat 7:27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Let me ask you a personal question. What is your purpose or mission on this site?

Is it to build others, encourage others, uplift others, love others, OR TO CONDEMN OTHERS JUDGE OTHERS AND PROCLAIM OTHERS AS IGNORANT OR WRONG?

Based on your answer we can see what foundation you really stand on. Because Jesus does not teach us to do the latter. And I see you do alot of the latter.. like this engagement between you and me? You approached me with a question. Your goal was to do what? Knock me down and set up a trap? Please sir. Im not here for these little games. Much less fall into your traps.

My purpose is to share my belief, To try to show others what I believe and why I may not believe them, And hope to learn from them and they from me, I have actually changed alot of myu views since I have been here. Have you?

My goal was to try to get you to see the flaw in your reasoning from my point of view.

You say Christ is the foundation, but then after that, said all the things you must do. In other words. YOUR your foundation, Not christ.

I can only pray you see it. But since you are like so many others and can not handle when someoen disagrees with you. And take it as a personal attack. I can not see any possibility of you saying anything but your own view

If you do not like people disagreeing with you. Your in the wrong place.

When did I say Christ can be broken?
When you tried to add all the things you think you must do

If the foundation can be broken, then christ is broken.

I do not believe you cn fall off the foundation, Because christs foundation is secure, You fall on uneven unsecure ground, not on a firm foundation.

I’m saddened by the title of this thread. It’s like asking why 2+2=5. It doesn’t, and neither are there Christians in hell or any other realm of discomfort or separation from God.

I care. And I care what you think as well.
My point was for the new people in Christ to disregard what the wicked and evil people say to or about them, with their personal attacks, all because they don't believe as they do, while attempting to shame them into submission or to fall in line with the majority. That to me is low and ungodly.

2Ti 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
2Ti 2:25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
2Ti 2:26 And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

The same would apply to the ignorant.

I understand your point, friend. Remain positive to the best of your ability. The ole sugar/vinegar adage comes into play quite often. In my few short days here I’ve read a lot from Eternally Grateful and he is definitely a warrior for the Gospel. It appears you are as well. Focus on what you two have in common. It’s a pleasure to correspond with you. God bless you always.

It is wrong for the strong to prey on the weak in Christ. When I see such, I run to the weak's defense, like an adult would do for a child.

Why do you always treat new members this way? Ive asked you this before. This is a bad habit.
"Always" is rather a stretch, considering that I frequently welcome newcomers in the Newcomers Forum.

My recent post was a response to an unprovoked attack from a newcomer.
