Maybe they are speaking of the definition of sin follow, rather than actions? In our humanity we miss the mark of God or fall short of His perfection. But, Positionally, we are declared the righteousness of God IN Christ Jesus.
Sin would come from the lust of the eyes, flesh, or pride of life. Is that correct?
We all have besetting sins that trip us up. We overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the Word of testimony. How? 😇
We all have besetting sins? Really.
We all condemn ourselves and are blind to more obvious issues.
We also find it very difficult to not let emotional hurt become true sinful action, and to not
let love and generosity flow, when there is opportunity.
Speaking in generalities often leads to excuses. Saul was told by the Lord to execute a King.
He rationalised his men did not like the idea, and what would it hurt to be nice.
So goes the heart of sinful man to walk in his own understanding and not submit to clear commands.
So an over sensitive perfectionist feels condemned not cleaning the table immediately after a mean,
while a believer lost in sin, has no problems with theft, sexual immorality, blasphemy, joking, false
witness against others. But once the general, it does not matter, both feel justified, while one is
over the top the other is definately not walking in the Lord.
Until you know people and their true lifestyle and heart, it is sinful to allow rebellion and sin
to go unchallenged.
On this forum going from brother you have an unusual theological view, to you are doomed to hell
and not a believer at all, is a big jump, absurd in the extreme. But some are happy to do this like
blinking. Maybe they do not see this is equivalent to murdering someone, literally. Imagine your
words are the Lords, it is eternally taking away any hope they have in Christ.
It is odd that those who say these words claim to be so secure in Christ they could not live without
this security, yet are prepared to use this same insecurity like a weapon. I hope you can see the emotional
hypocrisy involved and simple lack of care.
When Jesus talked about the rulers of Israel, people literally were executed at their word, murdered,
put in prison, abused through the temple police. So it was not a spiritual accusation, it was literal sin
they were guilty of. But here, on these forums, strangers will be accused of being worse than murderers
for three lines of sharing their love of Jesus. This is simply spiritually blind and unjust behaviour, yet
those who speak like this claim the highest authority, which they cannot show in scripture, yet will heap
abuse and emotional statements of lack of intelligence etc. inappropriately.
The only people I know who behave like this do not have a loving heart, shown by the impact of such actions
and their meaning. I cannot get over meeting the Lord being called meeting the enemy. Or loving from the
heart being called hate. I truly am broken by such insanity and animosity for no end, only judgement.
God help such souls, for such hardness leads to real blasphemy and lostness. Truly we mourn for such as these.
God bless you.
