Why do people think the serpent is bad? Didn’t God say all things were Good? I never read that God spoke Satan into creation... so where does evil come from? Is our ignorance the darkness?

Ezekiel 28:15 says that Satan’s ways were perfect until wickedness was found in Him.
The Hebrew word for wickedness comes from a root meaning to act wrongfully or unjustly.

14 You were anointed as a guardian cherub,
for so I ordained you.
You were on the holy mount of God;
you walked among the fiery stones.

15 You were blameless in your ways
from the day you were created
till wickedness was found in you.

16 Through your widespread trade
you were filled with violence,
and you sinned.
So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God,
and I expelled you, guardian cherub,
from among the fiery stones.

17 Your heart became proud
on account of your beauty,
and you corrupted your wisdom
because of your splendor.

what have you read that incites the above quote from your op?

the NT reveals that Lucicfer, the devil was thrown out of heaven and 1/3rd of the angels with him after he lost his bid for the throne of God in his rebellion for the ruler of heaven

18So He said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven Luke 10:18

In Luke 10:18 Jesus says, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.” The context of these words is the return of the 70 (or 72) disciples that Jesus had sent out to evangelize and prepare His way to Jerusalem (see verse 1). When the 70 return and give their report, they are joyful and a little surprised that “even the demons submit to us in your name” (verse 17). Jesus’ first words in reply are, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven” (verse 18).

In referencing Satan’s fall from heaven, Jesus most likely had in mind Isaiah 14:12, “How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn! You have been cast down to the earth, you who once laid low the nations!” The fall of Satan that Jesus saw happened after Lucifer’s sin, before Adam and Eve’s temptation in the Garden of Eden. In his pride, Lucifer had lifted himself up, but God had cast him down out of his original place in heaven (although he retains a limited access to heaven for now, according to Job 1:6). Jesus’ statement in Luke 10:18 speaks of Jesus’ pre-existence and the Lord’s defeat over the power of Satan in a general sense.
SOURCE

so you are right when you state that God did not create the devil. the devil was originally an angel and he determined to take God's place and he failed

ignorance is the lack of knowledge by any individual who seeks to understand something

when we find the knowledge concerning the thing we wish to understand, we can say we are no longer ignorant

sin creates separation between us and God, just like the sin of rebellion in heaven from Lucifer created separation from who he was to what he became...angel to the devil

ignorance is one thing, which can be fixed

disobedience is another. Adam and Eve disobeyed God = sin = separation

as an aside, I am puzzled as to why you say you are unsure of your spiritual status and then beneath it you say you were saved
at birth

would you care to explain that please?

The "at birth" part generally refers to being Catholic.............and, that would explain the "unsure" under Spiritual Status.......

He did create satan! He is Lucifer, son of the morning! An angel created by God's own hand who wanted to usurp God's throne for himself! Is. 14:12-14! He is also able to transform himself into many things, even an Angel of light! The word is full of examples of him! God cast him down to the earth and PREPARED HELL FOR HIM AND HIS ANGEL FOLLOWERS! Blessing in your search, the word of God is full of what HE WILL DO TO ALL THAT STAND AGAINST HIM! I hope and pray that you are a born again believer and follower of Christ! If not then please pray for God's forgiveness and instructions in His word that you may rejoice in the kingdom of heaven! I am praying for you!🌞🌞🌞

a. Our modern usage of good and how we view it is not what it means in Genesis
b. The word meant usable for the purpose it was designed for
c. MY view is Satan was already here as the prince of the power of the air (GOD on day 2 does not call the heavens good)
d. Satan came to be when Lucifer fell by transgression and became the Adversary
e. Satan apparently possessed the serpent (note evil spirits/demons/devils have possessed men and pigs we know of by the bible) and even Satan argued over the dead body of MOSES for a reason)

Yes God did say that His creation was "Very Good". But that was marred by the rebellion of Lucifer/Satan and his evil angels. The serpent was just another creature until Satan took possession of him and used him to deceive Eve. Then the serpent became "the Serpent", "that old Serpent" also called "the Great Red Dragon". Ever since serpents and dragons have represented Satan and are worshiped in pagan religions.
I never read that God spoke Satan into creation... so where does evil come from? Is our ignorance the darkness?
How much of the Bible did you read? Take the time to properly study this subject and see where evil came from. Ignorance is not the same as evil.

Oh contrar monfrair... ignorance is death. What you don’t know, can kill you... and God never made Satan. Nor evil.. never read it in the seven days of creation....For God desired the man from the beginning.. it was not good that man was alone.. what do we do when we are lonely? Any of us Sinners can answer that...
and God’s purpose is greater than any creature. Therefore he uses darkness for our good... or the ignorance of non-believers should I say... for those that were condemned then.. are still condemned now.

Please. I will take any prayers. For we all sin and fall short of the Glory of God. But, I have an understanding... I have sought the truth.. I was just asking a question.. but you assume something to think I am in a worse position. I believe in the name of Christ. Nor am I an enemy.

Now you are simply displaying your biblical ignorance. So before you dig yourself any deeper, kindly take the time to study in the Bible where evil came from (as I already suggested).

Can I see he scripture when God spoke Satan into creation or made evil? I would like to see proof Satan exists. I believe darkness exists but only at the absence of light. But please refer to were he was created?

God uses evil for Good. Therefore it’s only purpose is for God .. but man uses good and evil for his own will and his own purpose. Therefore man ignorance of Gods will is evil.
