Well, "literally" speaking......... the WHOLE parable should be taken into context. You're pulling out just what you want - that twists the Word of God and is not accurate.

Also, parables were told to teach a lesson....there is a hidden meaning or truth in the story that is to be learned.

When Yeshua/Jesus would tell these parables, He would often say "My Words are Spirit and they are Life. He that has ears to hear, hear what the Spirit is saying."

okay, tell us specifically what the parable means .. what is the hidden meaning or truth in the story to be learned from this parable ..

Oh Nat, human reasoning in blindness. The Holy Spirit gives sight and understanding to God's Word. The Bible without the Holy Spirit is blindness - can't understand anything.

Seek God with all your heart. We're not to lean on our own understanding, we're to acknowledge Him in all our ways and He will direct our path.
Its actually not human reasoning but my denial of "OSAS eternal security Gospel".

Well you may disagree, but there is no "Good News" if salvation can be lost, because not one person is capable of holding onto their salvation, we would all fail.
Why would you "fail" if the Holy spirit inside you has power to over come sin?.

Oh, and one more thing...

"14 For the love of Christ compels us, having concluded this, that One has died for all, therefore all have died. 15 And He died for all [in order] that those living no longer should live to themselves, but to the One having died for them and having been raised again." - 2Cor5

So people who deny OSAS are talking babble. Who uses the most bible scriptures to defend their position;). And reads scriptures for how they are spoken. By the way it's not babble. Every human being has a right to speak without being accused of babble. It may be babble to you, but not other people. ;)
You can take the entire bible out of context and it still will not peddle a losable salvation like you do....

I am VERY much at peace with God. I have absolutely NO FEAR of losing my salvation. I am free to enjoy a loving and abiding relationship with my Savior, Lord and King.....with my Heavenly Father......and sweet communion with the Holy Spirit........there is just no fear in me.........I sleep well at night and I do not freak out if I stumble over sin.

As a new believer, I stumbled a lot here and there but, as I matured and became rooted and grounded more and more in His Word and in His Love for me.......sin is less and less. I'm shining brighter and brighter. He's perfecting EVERYTHING that concerns me.

I get back up, He cleans me up and onward we go, He never leaves me.......He stays right with me, even catches me at times......His love is amazing!

There's no need to put people under the bondage of works for keeping and maintaining salvation. It leaves no room for a loving relationship to thrive.

Amen sister...
That`s because you are building on the right foundation , the ROCK of Christ , not the sinking sand...
I was on the foundation of sinking sand , I lived in fear , until God showed me through His patience that I am His daughter , and He upholds me with His mighty powerful hand , and He now is leading me through these thorns & thistles in this world as He leads me home...

God bless you sister...
Your joy in our LORD shines through my computer screen , and that my friend is the power of God...xox...

Who's taking the bible out of Context here?. A person who thinks Jesus's blood cleanses from Sins or a person who thinks the blood of calves cleanses sins;)

We cannot compare Jesus blood to an animals blood;). Nor does that scripture refer to Jesus blood :). Doing sacrifices with animals blood is part of the " old law". This is how they cleansed the flesh from sin.

Like I said...the more you type the more obvious it becomes that you have no concept of the O.T. pictures, types and shadows......you have a lot to learn and open your eyes to!!

1 Corinthians 5:7 -

"cleanse out [imperative; 2nd person plural], therefore, the old leaven, that ye [2nd person plural] may be a new lump, according as ye are unleavened, for also our passover for us was sacrificed -- Christ"

;)

"For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope."

Those who believe they can lose their Salvation , please answer this...
God chose us before the foundations of the world , He knew who He was calling , so why would He call us only to have us turn our back to Him...

God is the starter and finisher of our faith , maybe those who believe salvation can be lost should check to see if they are in the faith , and see if God has really called you , or are you just working through your own efforts towards heaven , and that is why you are not secure in Christ...xox...
