Ok, But your slamming a whole denomination based on that experience? That is surely what it appears? And not just to myself
I do not attend "denominations". And in fact there are no "denominations". The entire concept should be scrapped.
Everyone knows the scriptural support for what I say so I won't waste your time posting scripture.

No. I'm not. I "slam" individual Churches on an individual basis.
First...

Because either there are no "Pentecostal" Churches or they all are. Its just another unscriptural bizarre schism that needs to not be there at all.
Second

It is my understanding that for the most part, Pentecostal movements and churches were begun by men (and women) who IMO lacked the necessary biblical scholarship to lay the foundation for a Church. Their doctrine is all over the map, with crazy emphasis and even more crazy practices and notions. I had a fiancée years ago who was a Pentecostal. She and her female contingent had not the slightest idea of what they were doing or what they were taking about. Sure they were thumping a bible and had scripture posted all over the house. But when you are attending church where the main activity is smashing cymbals, noise, wailing, screaming, obviously fake supposed spiritual activity, and people falling over, with ZERO accurate biblical teaching in order to equip of the Saints for witnessing, you are doubtless in a fraud church founded by the flesh and in the flesh.

God willing they all escaped from that madness.

Games? Oh no Sir/Madame. In fact what I am doing is testifying to what I have seen and what I know.
You can judge the matter independently just the same as I have.

I'm glad you said in your opinion. Otherwise there are no facts to back up that claim.

You're going to have to be a little more specific than all over the map.

Maybe she did, maybe she didn't. But that's two people you know. How many Pentecostals do you know? Do you know all of them, or half of them? Just because you had a weird fiancée doesn't mean everyone is like her.

How does one thump a Bible exactly? I've never seen it done.

Is there something wrong with posting Bible verses in your home? I would think you'd find that comforting, having His word where you can see it and remember it.

Yeah we have a church like that in town. All they play is loud Christian rock music. My parents attended there and said it was so loud you couldn't hear yourself think. A pretty large church too. It's Baptist.

I attended one of those services too. People were pretty loud, talking in tongues. I think they may have even been falling over too. I tell you that's the last Methodist church I'll ever attend!!
loud Christian rock music

FYI.... "Rock and Roll" was a phrase originally coined as a euphemism for fornication.
I'm not sure if you are aware of that.

Believe me when I tell you.... I never listen to anything that even remotely sound like "rock" music.

discredit an entire group of people

I perceived it as identifying heresies and or apostates and or ungodly practices.

Yep, and ALL KINDS of churches of different denominations play that type of music. Not all Pentecostal churches play "rock music" not by a long shot.

You're painting a group of people as all the same. You have confirmation bias. You're simply wrong.

Good, you're saying it's your opinion, that's fine. You have a personal aversion, fine. But don't paint an entire group because of things you don't like that you saw in a church once.

Depends

Gods in the hebrew are interpreted God in the english. So ask the origional writters why they did not just interpret it as Gods.
They understood the Most High as one or G-D not gods. That's an easy one as they always refer to him as "He", and "Him" and never "they" or them". And the Father always calls himself "I" and "Me".

Trinity denotes one God. Jesus said whoever saw Him saw the Father. When asked what He should be called He said "I Am", which of course was the OT name for God.

Kinda like when the Banner above the door says Southern Baptist, or Church of Christ, or Methodist, or some such...

You know right away there lurks trouble within, right?

Yet in hebrew, they used the plural form (elohime) form multiple times.

The english text did not originate until the around the 1600’s nice try.

Don't worry. CC changed this, and they shouldn't have, that you use to see pink or blue and be able to tell who you were talking to. I have no idea why they changed it.

I think it might have been a software thing. changed when the skin here changed, so...

I did see they can actually still use the 'banned' and gone far away thing though so maybe someone doesn't want to go
through all the profiles and color code them

I check profiles but still have made a mistake or 2

as long as we know ourself what we are, it's all good though, eh? ;)

Pretty much. I walked into some kind of "Apostolic" Church years ago. They were calling each other Apostle this and Apostle that and a lot of other self appointed honorific titles.
Pretty crazy man. And really frightening. And it was obvious they were frauds BTW.

I beat a hasty retreat.

well there are churches that call themselves 'Apostolic' ...not to be confused with the New Apostolic Reformation

people seem to feel safe when labeling things...that way they don't reach for the cayenne pepper thinking it is paprika :sneaky:
