It’s the power to live the Christian life, which is to learn be according to the Spirit, rather than live according to the flesh.

Those Christians who live according to the flesh and practice the works of the flesh will not inherit the kingdom of God.
Living according to the flesh and practicing the works of the flesh is not descriptive of a Christian. Those who are habitually dominated by the sinful nature (unbelievers) put their minds on the things of the sinful nature, but those who are habitually dominated by the Spirit (believers) put their minds on the things of the Spirit.

Romans 8:8 - So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. 10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. Galatians 5:19-21
  • those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God
Those who do not inherit the kingdom of God are cast into the everlasting fires of hell along with the devil and his angels.
In Galatians 5:21, notice ..those who practice such things/sins will not inherit the kingdom of God. In 1 John 3:9, we read - No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

In 1 Corinthians 6:9-11, we read - Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, 10 nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 Such were some of you; but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and in the Spirit of our God.

Bread Crumbs “Holy Spirit Power”

The power of the Holy Spirit is the veritable “life blood” of the believer. There is no greater companion, no greater power source, nor greater source of comfort than the person of the Holy Spirit. He is not just a secondary substitute for the absence of a physical Jesus. He is our promised comforter, our continual guide, and an unwavering sanctifying agent. While He is associated with wind, oil, or water, He is none o...f these. He is in fact the third person of the triune Godhead, living on the inside of every truly born-again believer. At salvation the Holy Spirit baptizes us into the person of Christ. But there is also an opportunity for every believer to have Jesus immerse them into the person of the Holy Spirit. This is a second subsequent work of God’s grace available after the salvation experience and brings power for service, supernatural gifts, and helps us in the never ending challenge of dying to self. Jesus had the Spirit without measure. We can have His presence in our lives to whatever degree we desire. Are you hungry for the Lord? Then ask Him for the outpouring of His Spirit upon your person. He will fill you today to overflowing!

Acts 1:8 - But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

PennEd, do you worship in the anointing? Truthfully answer.

There's nothing compared to being caught up in Worship of Father and Son!

These things that are available to all who will receive are wonderful giftings of God to men. If they weren't, I would not care that you reject. But, my desire has always been that all would EXPERIENCE HIS PRESENCE!

I sat in those services of hearing a man speak, some testimonies through the week, and most "healing" proclaimed was because of doctors and medicines.

One moment of being actually touched by God, and you're undone forever.

Nothing like Holy Spirit coming sweeping into the meeting. Angels show up.

Do not mock!
Misrepresentation bordering on slander. Having nothing to do with what you and I have been discussing. Grabbed solely because you were unable to make your case with Scripture, so an attempt to divert. WHAT is motivating you?

THIS is what Absolutely said in response to me saying that Wigglesworth did not have a hundred percent healing rate, and therefore FAILED to heal some. I would argue he NEVER healed anybody, but that's beside the point.

ABSOLUTELY QUOTE
"Well 1st off why wouldn't he have a 100% accuracy?"
Neither did Jesus or elisha.
They also garbage?

Do you agree that Jesus FAILED to heal 100% of the people He intended to heal also?

As i told you before, read your bible.
Jesus did not heal all. I can think of 2 places off the top of my head.
I fashioned my comment on " success rate"
You refashioned it into " failure"

Your starting place is even boggus.
You cant see the victory for your parking and celebrating in defeat.

Again, try and research "not all were healed"
I can look it up for you later if need be.

Ironically,it is you attributing failure to Jesus, not me.
Not all are saved. Do you see Jesus as failed?

There is a HUGE difference between ATTEMPTING to heal someone and failing and CHOOSING NOT to heal someone at all.

Would you agree with that?

Jesus NEVER failed when He attempted to heal someone. Wigglesworth, and the Apostles BEFORE Jesus resurrection and being filled with the Holy Spirit did fail.

See the difference?

YOU said you attended THIS charlatan's show and had an "experience" there. I saw one show where he laughed maniacally for a half an hour. So YOU tell me what kind of fruit or spirit this guy passes on to the gullible?

And so what if he didn't use the word fail. That is exactly what he meant when he said Jesus didn't succeed in healing every person He intended to. Further what does ANY of this have to do with what we were discussing about John the Baptist and baptism with fire?

You exemplified this movement when you couldn't answer to Scripture, and diverted to talking about "experience" and something that had nothing to do with the conversation at hand OR a post that didn't even involve you from almost a week ago.

Wow what a boggus mess ,you slandering every charismatic with cherry picked hater clips.

They mocked those in the upper room.
They mock the same in modern days.
That is a spirit driving you friend.
Some religious spirit.
It is hatred of your brother.

Your dynamics are way off. Way off .
You dont know what you are talking about.
As i told you, your starting place is off.
Therefore it muddies up your entire deal.

One has to suspend all reason to think that is genuine of anything.

How they must laugh behind their followers backs indeed!!

I have no idea who Browne is. This is twice. you have said this to me. Experiences is exactly what the Lord wants us to have.

And your fruit is bitter.
He is a powerful man of God. But eccentric as is most who move in the gifts.
We are a strange bunch lol.
We are easy to mock and malighn. Benny Hinn said " if i didn't know me,i would probably think i was fake also"
The misunderstanding and mislabeling goes with the territory.

We laugh and press on.
They truly don't know what they are doing.

No sis

If we are not baptized by god we are not saved

Baptism represents washing not signs

The signs came because the hs came into or was poured out (to anoint) on them not because they were baptized.

On the day of Pentecost. The disciples were the first humans to literally experience the baptism of god and anointing of god

You church likes to focus
On the baptism part and in doing so misinterpret what it means and reject the anointing part or dismiss it. Both of which are given to ALL who are saved. If those things do not occurs when you CLAiM you trusted god your not saved period
But what does it say? “T he word is near you , in your mouth and in your heart ”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed .”
ROMANS 10:8‭-‬11 NASB
So this is a lie?

Mr. PennEd I remember when this came to Toronto, believers (those not affliated with the movement) were judged so harshly by friends and family because of the goings on at Toronto Airport Church.
I checked it out once, it was shocking, people barking etc.,....this strange behaviour puts a terrible weight on the rest of us. :(

Nope, what happens when you do this?

1. Sealed by the spirit

Eph 1: 13- 14 - 13 In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

2. Spiritually circumcised by the baptism in his death performed by God himself (baptism of the spirit)

Col 2:
11 In Him you were also circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body [h]of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12 buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. 13 And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14 having wiped out the [i]handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

3. Baptized into christ, by God himself (baptism of the spirit) and made joint heirs with Christ

Gal 3: 26 For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

4. Baptized into the body of Christ by the spirit (Holy Spirit Baptism)

1 cor 12 - 13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit. 14 For in fact the body is not one member but many.

There are many more things we receive when we do this, but these should show my case. If you have not been baptized. By the spirit. You have not been united wiht his death, you have not been placed into his body, you have not been spiritually cleansed and made alive, and you have not drank from the same spirit, ie, Your not saved, period.

Jesus absolutely did have 100% accuracy! Don't blasphemy the Lord. If ever he wasn't accurate then he wasn't perfect, if not perfect then .... The unthinkable.

See. That's the problem and confusion with this whole issue that has me leaning against the entire movement. NO ONE on the side of tongues and gifts condemns absolutely obvious charlatans, that cruelly bilk the poor with false hopes of cures, like Hinn, who have become fabulously wealthy, and live exceedingly extravagant lifestyles.

I don't know if EVERY tongue is false. I tend to think not. But I am sure when I see either phonies, or different spirits. And that the movement at large either can't or won't condemn these guys is VERY troubling.
