Islam denies that Jesus was crucified. Supposedly Judas was crucified instead of Jesus and Jesus died at a ripe old age. That does not fit any other major prophet in history. Minor prophets came and went following a specified situation. But, if Jesus was a prophet, would he allow the misconception that he was crucified and allow a false religion to spring up in his name? Not if he was a real prophet! A real prophet would rise up to crush this false religion! If Islam is true, and Jesus did not die on the cross, Jesus could have stopped Christianity from beginning just by producing himself. If Islam is true, and Jesus did not die, then he hid himself away while a false religion was born, in his name. Once again, a real prophet would not have allowed that. Again, if Jesus was not a real prophet, then Islam is false!
So the bottom line is this. If Jesus was who He (and Christians say) said He is, then Islam is a false religion. If Jesus is not who Christians and He claimed He is, then Christianity and Islam BOTH are false.[/FONT]
Roman and Jewish historical sources dating from the time of Christ independently verify that Jesus Christ was crucified and died on a cross. So, how can a book written 500-600 years later and 1,000 miles away which contradicts the historical records be trusted ? It cannot. If you look in the Arabic bible you will see Allah mentioned many times. Allah is just Arabic for God.
In the end Muslims believe in only one God, what Christians call God the father. The God mentioned regularly in the old testament, the God of Abraham but not the other two Gods that was introduced by Paul.

Bingo. PBUH thank you for the defining difference. You don't treat Christ as God. This was done before Paul and was introduced and affirmed by the Apostles. Paul most certainly preached it by it was the Apostles who were the first to share it. Before Saul's conversion was Peter's pouring out of the Spirit.
Islam is a faith ruled by law. Christ fulfilled it. In Him we are made good. Those who are apart from Christ are not in Him and are not good by pure. Christ is so much more than the prophet Islam allows Him to be. He is savior.
