Jews had been expelled from countries all over the world. Whatever peace they lived in was destroyed when Hitler came to power. They were persecuted by the Catholics and Protestants. They were restricted, accused of false crimes, murdered for it. They certainly were victims and Hitler made sure to carry out that hatred to the fullest.
Yes that is what we are told isn't it?

Yes, it does get pretty heated. But not like this subject. This subject gets down to pure hatred. I had a chat with one of the mods here a couple yrs ago when someone here denied the Holocaust even happened. People have to be either entirely stupid, or full of hate to deny the Holocaust happened. Usually I find it's the latter, such a pity.
I remember that,, Yes, that was bad!!

Actually that is not true, this is the whole victim mentality that has been perpetuated throughout the years.

The German Empire that was created in 1870 was never hostile to Jews. Contrary. When Germany annexed Elssas and Lothringen the Jews were the only one who celebrated.

Jews had been allowed to live in Poland for centuries and lived quite peaceable within their own communities.

Hungary as well accepted Jews as long as they learned to speak Hungarian.
Yep, Up until Hitler

No, it's not going to be the Christians but the Jews who will become more targeted as this age comes to a close.
Satan still has to keep God from fulfilling his promise to them as a nation.. Thats why!!

I didn't say that was in the Bible. You posted the wrong post. Christians killed in WW2 fighting to free the Jewish people. Certainly you're not trying to compare that to Jews being moved like cattle in trains to their torturous deaths, some deaths more torture than others. 6 million + were not killed, that's for certain.

Hitler was a "useful idiot"

No Hitler was a sick, megalomaniac, murderer. He wasn't "useful" unless you see the murder of over 6 million Jews and all WW2 deaths as useful. Hitler wasn't innocent in any way shape or form. He had a lust for murder, particularly of the Jews. And he almost succeeded in wiping them off the earth.

A bad rap...

Here is a portion of an article from History.com ...

"With the rise of Christianity, anti-Semitism spread throughout much of Europe. Early Christians vilified Judaism in a bid to gain more converts. They accused Jews of outlandish acts such as “blood libel”—the kidnapping and murder of Christian children to use their blood to make Passover bread. "
https://www.history.com/topics/holocaust/anti-semitism

(did you notice no citations were given for any of these claims?)

There are at least two misrepresentations here, can you name them? Can you give other examples?
Nobody uses blood to make bread. Where did they get that silly idea from. Its made of flour and water and it doesnt rise because they were in a hurry to leave egypt and didnt have time to wait for it to rise.

Its the blood of the lamb thats was placed on the doorposts, that was recorded in the Bible. Not children. Christians actually celebrate passover too!

History.com just writes nonsense. I wouldnt even give it any notice.

Yes I think you are missing my point as well, I am talking about the gulags in Russia, and they belonged to the group that identifies as Christian, as well as others.
A balanced approach seems to be hard to find these days. :(

No it is not simply a victim mentality. There is more than enough evidence that anti-Semitism was a cancer within all of Europe which led to the Holocaust. And the Western nations did nothing, or next to nothing, to save the Jews from extermination. Indeed Jewish refugees were barred from entering the USA at that time.

Anti-Semitism has a long history going back to the dispersion of the Jews. There is no question that in the New Testament, God holds the unbelieving Jews accountable for the crucifixion of Christ (even though it was a part of God's plan of salvation). But that should not have automatically resulted in hatred for the Jews. But that is exactly what happened:

"The attitudes expressed in the [Catholic] theological literature of the time were ultimately even more important. Eusebius of Caesarea took every opportunity to stress God's "rejection" of the Jewish people. John Chrysostom hurled bitter invective at the Jews and denounced Christians who associated with them and visited synagogues. Jerome delighted in emphasizing the faults, real or imagined, of ancient and contemporary Jews. Most important was Augustine , bishop of Hippo in North Africa. He put forward the theory, which long remained part of Christian theology, that it was the will of God to keep a remnant of the Jews alive in a degraded state as living witnesses of the Christian truth...

In theory this [that faith could not be forced] remained the basic papal policy for many centuries, although in practice it was often flagrantly violated. In a series of Church councils, meeting in Toledo throughout the seventh century, the Visigothic kingdom of Spain, which had by this time become Catholic, passed a series of increasingly stringent laws to compel the Jews to join the Church or leave the country...

We even know of Martin Luther's attacks on the Jews. But before that the Catholic Church was attempting to force Jews to become Catholics upon pain of death or torture.

Well, my point was regarding Europe prior to the turn of the century, where "Jews" did have places where they lived where they were not persecuted.
I do not view history in broad sweeping generalizations.

Here we go again  Jews were brutally murdered in the Holocaust, and the subject of the OP is the relationship between the Jews and Christians. I'm not going down this path with you again. It's nonsense.
