Why? I say that everyday and i know what i'm saying.
I would suggest you STOP. There's also a danger in saying you have a lock on the truth, when we are told we see thru the glass darkly.

I would ask for an example of Jesus emptying hospitals, but that's not the point of the thread.
Paul did mass healing with his handkerchief and Paul towards the end of his ministry could not heal Timothy from stomach problems.

But do you understand what a gift is? it means, if a person has the gift of healing, they can go to a hospital and exercise it all day every day in mass. They can walk in a morgue any day and raise the dead any day all day. That is a gift and exercising of the gift is such.

Once-of events are not gifts and what happened to you was not raising of the dead. Death means the spirit is separated from the body and for you to raise it, you have to sermon the spirit back from God into the body.
If anyone can do that, they can also raise a 10 dead body/bones back to life.
Noose, you are totally wrong in your understanding of how the gifts "work". Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit saith the Lord.

1 John 4: 16And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them. 17This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus. 18There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

Knowing partly (through the glass darkly) is like childishness according to Paul and that was only allowed in the 1st century church, but when the perfect comes (perfect love), then we need to be seeing clearly.

1 John 4 explains what perfect love is; it is loving one another and this is knowing God.
It is not possible that we don't know God today.

tongues are one of the gifts...are not is. they are a manifestation of being filled with the Holy Spirit. or, if you will as scripture actually states in the original language, be ye being filled...kind of like when Paul tells Timothy to stir up the gift in him

but of course you do not understand that and prefer to join in the mockers instead
Be careful there are always three fingers pointing back. Its a sign of someone mocking someone.

The sign related with or in respect to tongues (prophecy in multiple languages ) is God mocking those who mock his word .You could say by turning things upside down they take a sign meant as a curse and turn it into a self edifying blessing .Making the tradition of God without effect by that oral tradition of men as it seems this people refuse to look to the foundation of the law found in Isaiah 28 .

Yet for all that this people will not give up the idea of a sign gift. (1 Corinthains 14) as a sign against them.

Noose, you are totally wrong in your understanding of how the gifts "work". Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit saith the Lord.
This is how gifts were meant to work and Paul says the gift are totally under the control of whoever is given.
Individual members were given different abilities that would work together for their own learning and knowing God. At that point, it was said they knew partly but the goal was that they grow together as the body of Christ and in the end become perfect in knowledge about God. So it was only in their life time because they formed the foundation of what is to be called the church. But when perfect knowledge comes to them and they are all together knowledgeable about God in love for one another, then the childish things cease.

1 Cor 13:
1If I speak in the tongues a of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, b but do not have love, I gain nothing.

4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

1 John 4:
7Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. 9This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 10This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.

13This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. 14And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. 15If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God. 16And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.

But then what does unforgivable mean, if it can be forgiven?
In the example you gave of Joe and the statement he said, I replied that I believe he did not commit a unforgivable sin. Jesus can still forgive him.

To me the unforgivable sin is to have a heart so hardened that one will never ever turn to Christ. The Pharisees hearts were hard when they accused Jesus of casting out devils by the Prince of devils. But whether at this point in time their heart was too hard for even the possibility of turning to Jesus in faith that I don't know for sure. The way I see it is that Jesus might have been warning them of the unforgivable sin. But I really am not sure just a possibility that comes to mind.

I'll let the scriptures speak.

17 But you, dear friends, must remember the statements and predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah.

18 They kept telling you, "In the last times there will be mockers, following their own ungodly desires."

19 These are the people who cause divisions. They are worldly, devoid of the Spirit.

20 But you, dear friends, must continue to build your most holy faith for your own benefit. Furthermore, continue to pray in the Holy Spirit.

21 Remain in God's love as you look for the mercy of our Lord Jesus the Messiah, which brings eternal life.

22 Show mercy to those who have doubts.

23 Save others by snatching them from the fire. To others, show mercy with fear, hating even the clothes stained by their sinful lives.

Jude is speaking of several things in these verses. But, verse 19 must be directed to the church. Something I didn't see before.

Mocking, slander, division comes from the natural man. The Spiritual man will follow the way of love. To think the best of all. Yet, as Seven said...wise as a serpent, harmless as a dove.

When did the baptism of Holy Spirit become an option?

What spirit would be the one working for this goal? Demonic of course, but what is its name?

Am thinking that warfare would be powerful if we "see" these things.

This is a dangerous idea - that is - relegating the words of Jesus and the events in the gospels to applying only to while Jesus was on earth in the flesh. My opinion . . .
agreed

and yet some denoms continue to do so and it is wrong to do so and leads to the type of mockery we see evident in some posts in threads on the gifts

I think some so called teachers and 'pastors' are going to have own up to their lack of responsibility and negligence and false assurance to people

not everyone who denies the gifts are for today will mock and seek out a platform from which to do so and I don't think they share the same responsibility as those who do

IMO

One thing I do not think people realise. Saul/Paul was a pharisee. There is a good chance paul himself was at this meeting, and was one of the ones mocking. Did Saul commit the unforgivable sin?

My word! The power was Holy Spirit through Paul's faith and anointing.

In our Gospels the unpardonable sin against the Holy Spirit was committed by attributing Jesus' exorcisms to demonic power. But hw might that sin be committed today? In the NT church the sin was committed by refusing to acknowledge divinely sanctioned prophetic gifts (See Didache 11). Indeed, that was the unanimous interpretion of the sin in the first 2 centuries. So today so-called Christians who attribute the ecstatic spiritual gifts to Satan are in real danger of committing this sin!

not so

even Jesus did few miracles in the town of Nazareth

53When Jesus had finished these parables, He withdrew from that place. 54Coming to His hometown, He taught the people in their synagogue, and they were astonished. “Where did this man get such wisdom and miraculous powers?” they asked. 55“Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t His mother’s name Mary, and aren’t His brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas? 56Aren’t all His sisters with us as well? Where then did this man get all these things?” 57And they took offense at Him.

But Jesus said to them, “Only in his hometown and in his own household is a prophet without honor.” 58And He did not do many miracles there, because of their unbelief.

perhaps a review of scripture would be helpful in your understanding

Jesus didn't go to the sick unless He was asked did He? They came to Him.

He only did what He saw....said what He heard. Under authority of another. His Father.
Jesus' mission was to teach the disciples, so the healing that He did was for the disciples to believe that He is the Messiah and follow His teachings.

The disciples/Apostles mission was to establish the church. So the healing and other gifts were meant for the masses to believe that they are appointed of God and also to believe the message of the Gospel.

The 1st century church's mission was partly to establish the church with the help of the apostles through the gifts by learning from one another.

And that was the end of the missions and also gifts.

John 9:
1As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”

3“Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. 4As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. 5While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

Blaspheming Holy Spirit also is to minimize His power. To cause men to look elsewhere other than to God for their help. Results in unbelief.
