Sooooooo...... here I am again on a christain website. Only this time not as a single girl (which is where/how the Lord brought my husband and myself together) but as a 10+ yrs wife and mom broken, stressed, lonely at times (although with Jesus I am never truly alone,). I'm not here to air dirty laundry nor attack other users. I like a good laugh, heck, even need a few good laughs right now, after all a merry heart doeth good like medicine. I find it easier to let those comments/ jokes go online than in real life ( I mean come on, in real life are we going to throw M&M's at someone who walks in a room as a greeting? or REALLY swing from the chandelier with excitement?) We're not currently in a "church home" (for those who say things along the lines of "talk to your pastors wife" or "get involved in your church") the church is the body of believers, not the swarming crowds of pew warmers and Sunday do gooders. That being said............. I often find it hard to share personal things with just anybody, my group of mom friends, though they be great ladies, is not the place to talk about personal or spiritual issues. I refuse to start a conversation or search for help in a subject that turns into whining and complaining. That being said....... it leads me online where, at least I have the power to overlook/ skip/ ignore comments, and people reading are not very likely to know me or my family, so in a sense I guess it just feels "safer".
Am I rambling? I feel like I'm rambling. I have so much in my head that wants to get out and be said and shared, sometimes putting into words is hard for me, that's why I always liked writing classes in school, because I could get it all out on the paper and go back to organize it (maybe?) later.
Well I did read in a thread on here somewhere earlier today for a woman to join the ladies only group for a topic that should be discussed among women only . That was one reason I signed up for this site. Can anyone tell me how to find it? Is it a private link? I would like to share/ seek help on a very personal wife issue. Like I said before I'm not going to air dirty laundry and do not have a pastors wife or "church friend" to counsel with on this. And I know I am to trust and seek Him always first and foremost, but older women are to counsel younger women, and I could REALLY use some guidance, or at least a loving listening ear that won't turn this into a husband/ man bashing conversation.
Thanks!

Regarding the M&M's, that has been my signature since shortly after I have joined this site. I wrote about the candy in several posts and someone complained that my talk about M&M's was bothering her so I made it as my signature. There are many others that have told their story about destructive marriages ending (in some cases mercifully) in divorce on these various pages so please know that you are not alone in this. No, you are not rambling at all but rather are writing the first page of your story. Hopefully, you will find as much comfort, hope and understanding from the members as I have. Glad to have you as part of our family. Welcome to CC.

"Hello....Welcome!.......know this...tears of the heart is not rambling!.....in today's restless
mass of unhinged lives, is there any doubt as to what is being witnessed within the lives of families,
of all walks of life...sad and disturbing....:( I personally have just hugged and shared tears with
a broken and stressed life...( three days ago )...am a sponsor for this person, ( thank you Lord )...
family love has become a shambles of brokenness...from the inside...out. Not of peace within...
how can there be real family bond of love....not to be.:(..I have learned from personal experience
in working with lives...let it out, all of it...no matter what...cry, laugh, get angry whatever....
something is held back, may be guilt, shame...whatever the h... it is ....tell someone you feel
honestly comfortable with...and share it...all of it....cleanse the inner you of any baggage....
it is amazing what I have witnessed, when burdens are unloaded...only then can one really
focus on getting right with God...less to carry....more for God....Bingo!...been there...done that!"...:(....:) :)

Yes, you are a rambler, but we love you:) God made every one of us a little different, and that difference is a good and wonderful thing. I'm so glad God led you to us. You have already blessed my heart. Thank you for being you. There is a kind of safety here, but sooner or later, someone will call you an idiot. They have said that to me on more than one occasion, but be aware that they may be the very same ones that need our love the most. Godspeed.

Yeah I noticed your M&M signature on all the post I've seen of you here. HAHA I love it!:D. That was one of my things years ago in a singles chat room:giggle: Always was (still is) my favorite candy....... I could grab a mega bag and munch all day but seeing as how that's not healthy I just try to beat my family to the ones in trail mix bags. I mean the sweet mixed with the salty............. (insert Homer Simpson mimic here "MMMMMM sweet n saaaaaaalty" drool).
Take heart..... while it is heartbreaking to read stories ending in divorce or heading that way, mine is not one of them, but rather one that needs an older woman's wisdom and insight, perhaps guidance. Like I said, I've noticed remarks about a ladies only board and would like to know how to get to it. I don't always use wisdom, sometimes I just override it while my brain screams at me "DON"T DO/SAY THAT!" but in this delicate matter, wisdom wins.......................

The Ladies forum is private..
yes, as it should be. I think that is wise. How does someone join private links here? is there someone to contact or do we just wait for invites?

Under the old format there was a ladies only forum but that seems to have vanished in the new format. Actually, chocolate has medicinal benefits. Glad also to note that you are not among the divorce statistics. There are many wonderful older Christian women on this site that would be more than willing and able to let you tap into their vast life experiences Sweet & Salty is a good mix and aptly describes my marriage, with my wife being the Sweet one of course. :)

yes, but I believe for the chocolate to have it's medicinal benefits it is suppose to be at least 70% dark at a consumption of 1oz (or something like that those figures, pleeeaaaaaaaassssssssssseeeeee don't quote me on this one, I'm just pulling from memory:unsure: and right now that place is sooo jammed with more important issues, lol wait that isn't funny I'm serious..........
So if your wife is the sweet one, does that mean you'r the salty one? Well, it must mean you'r doing your part to be salt on the earth,
glad we're not talking sweet and sour :p

Yeah, Sweet and Sour is a whole another thing altogether. I will try to not act like a sourpuss. About the chocolate, yes, the higher cocoa content provides the better medicinal value than M&M's which are milk chocolate but what's the fun in that?

Hello Godsgirl83! I am a new member and am not aware of a "ladies only group" on this site, but I am an older Christian woman who has lived a lot of life full of various trials and tribulations but came out victorious with Christ always by my side. I would be happy to counsel and guide you, and definitely offer a loving listening ear. God Bless

You don't need a link to join the ladies forum. Just go in there.

If you're talking about a private group, I dunno entirely how those work. If you start one you have to give invites, and if you wish to join another group, you can ask the group owner for an invite.. Your best bet is to just start a thread in the ladies forum.

thank you, but I can not find a ladies forum. Is that one of those paid member perks?
