Saying goodbye to a wife of 50 years is more like normalcy rather than necromancy.
the Canaanites never cared about saying goodbye to lost loved ones, they contacted the dead for the same reason Saul contacted Samuel, they wanted divine information. some unfortunately cant seem to grasp that.

I will not continue to argue with your demon.
thats a good thing because your digging a pretty deep hole as it is. the last thing we need is you digging it really deep trying to explain Jesus on the mountain with Moses who was dead and according to your logic, this was a forbidden act.

Please stop posting, you are infected with a demon and are unable to see logic. Your demon is spewing lies as I never said that. The transfiguration of Jesus was something completely different, not necromancy. Stop posting.

Unfortunately, you've got the wrong idea, the Bible says the body sleeps at death, but the soul's consciousness continues after death, for all live to God. Luke 20v38, Matt 27v52

Contacting the dead is strictly forbidden by God for a Christian. Deut ch. 18
What has this to do with consciousness after death?
Luke 20:38 "For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him."

Where does this say anyone talked to them? Where did they go from here? Matt. 27:52, 53 "And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many."

Excerpt: Now I will bring up the state of the dead. Are our dead forefathers, and other loved ones, dwelling in “heaven” at this time? Jesus said: “And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but He that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven” (John 3:13).

But many say that Christ opened the graves after the crucifixion. I point you to the faith chapter of Hebrews 11. It tells us of how the patriarchs of old have not ascended to heaven. “And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.” (Hebrews 11:39,40). Mind you, this was written after the crucifixion.

I urge you to also read the whole chapter of I Corinthians 15, but note especially the following verses: “But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at His coming (I Corinthians 15:20-23).

Also consider the following: “But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent [Gr. precede] them which are asleep. But every man in his own order; Christ the first fruits; afterward they that are Christ’s at His coming: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: And so shall we ever be with the Lord” (I Thessalonians 4:13-17).

So are our loved ones already with Christ? If they have to be resurrected at His coming—they must not be. I believe our lost loved ones are asleep; they have no awareness of time.

Ecclesiastes 9:5,6: “For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.”

Psalms 6:5: “For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?”

Psalms 30:9: “What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth?”

Psalms 115:17: “The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into silence.”

Isaiah 38:18: “For the grave cannot praise thee, death can not celebrate thee: they that go down into the pit cannot hope for thy truth.”

Psalms 88:10-12: “Wilt thou shew wonders to the dead? shall the dead arise and praise thee? Selah. Shall thy lovingkindness be declared in the grave? or thy faithfulness in destruction? Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?

Psalms 115:17: “The dead praise not the LORD, neither any that go down into
silence.”

you posted scriptures that forbid us from going to mediums. we all agree on that, move on.
Paying a medium to contact the dead is not the same thing as a person just saying goodbye to someone that they loved. A medium in not acting out of concern but rather profit. It's not as if they prayed about it first to God, no, they take your money and then spin some sort of story. Clearly this is what the bible is saying regarding to talking to the dead.

Hi there again jaybird. The transfiguration with Moses and Elijah was just a vision. That means it didn't happen yet. A vision of the future, if you will.

Matt. 17:9 "And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead."

You can't draw doctrine from a vision. Was Jesus glorified before the transfiguration? No, He was not. It is still a future event from that time. :D

in other words you have no response to Jesus on the mountain with a dead person, i wouldnt either if i was you. i think your best defense on that would bury your head in the sand and ignore it, like your doing.

so if a man lost his wife of 75 years, a wife he loved with all his heart, if he wants to say good bye to that lady he loved with all his heart, this is an act of a demon spewing lies? please explain why a demon would want you to love someone so much? please explain why the agenda of a demon is the exact same as a teaching of Jesus.

Cry not for the dead, for one day you will meet them again in joy, if they were saved.

I understand it can be hard to be separate from a bond with a loved one. However, I would warn it could be dangerous to even talk to them over a photograph - it could invite a demon.

While it may not be intended in any way, it is better to avoid speaking out loud to a dead loved one altogether, because a demon will try to use that to trick your mind, especially during vulnerable times of grief.

Rather, we should rejoice at the loss of a loved one who was saved, for now you know you will meet them again for eternity, although for a short time you will have to do without them, and you may grieve that; but I would warn against talking to the dead or saying such things, even if unintended.

Speaking at the graveside is even more dangerous, because this is directly communicating with the dead, even if you thought it was only one-sided. It could be scary if one day you received a response, because it would be a demon and not your loved one.

Scarily, necromancy by speaking to a dead loved one at a graveside is often promoted on television. It would otherwise not be natural to go if one had not seen this on tv.

I believe that we should not dwell on feelings of sadness, but rather rejoice in the joy of the Lord and accept all suffering as a part of life, and pray that the Holy Spirit gives us strength.

We should be trusting on the wisdom and joy of the Lord, not on our own emotions and speaking out loud to dead loved ones, because they cannot hear us -- but someone else may be listening: a demon. If you speak out loud to the dead, you are without knowing it giving the demon permission to enter your life.

Simply trust on the Lord for your joy, we should not look to other humans to receive joy. Losing a loved one is hard, but the Holy Spirit can help us through. Pray to the Holy Spirit when you are feeling grief, do not speak out to loved ones or visit their graves to talk to them. They cannot hear or see you, but demons can.

So beware, be on your guard, and put your trust and hope and joy in God alone.

yes it was a vision, but according to some this vision, Moses speaking while people down here listen, is a forbidden act.

thats great advice, when someone we love dies we should rejoice and move on as if that person never existed in the first place. wow what a cruel heartless act.

Nope. Rejoice that they were saved and escaped hell, and that you will see them again.

Joy comes from the Lord. Not from your dead loved one.

Also, if you've already contacted the dead or talked to them, I recommend immediately repenting (since that is necromancy), and asking God for deliverance from any demons that may have entered your life.
