I've said it before, and I'll say it again. We should all employ:
Romans 16:17-20 New King James Version (NKJV)
Avoid Divisive Persons
17 Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. 18 For those who are such do not serve our Lord [a]Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple. 19 For your obedience has become known to all. Therefore I am glad on your behalf; but I want you to be wise in what is good, and [b]simple concerning evil. 20 And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly.
The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

I have hopefully put Peter Jens (followhissteps) and Seohoce(Argueless) on ignore for the final time. If anyone sees me engaging them please slap me upside my head!
Can I do that anyway:cool:

there is nothing wrong with, in fact we all should be striving for holiness, and walking like Jesus.

these things are NOT why many here disagree with you.
we disagree with you because you do not freely admit that while these things should be all of our goals, we at times DO NOT MEET the requirements it takes to properly do them.

that is why it is so , so important to properly define sin, so we can honestly, truthfully access if we are doing the right things the right ways.

and, we have to determine them by unchanging facts, not because we " feel " like we have.

feelings and emotions do NOT provide steady, unchanging truths.

as a human being, you can talk yourself into believing anything. that is why you have to use God's standards , not YOUR feelings.
I can only share about what I have found.
People disagree with me for different reasons and from different positions.

Some do not believe for one second they would be regarded as holy or walking like Jesus.
They would deny it was even possible to attain such a thing

Other deny the sermon on the mount applies to them or christians in general.
Now I am not a sinless perfectionist, I am just saying to believe in Jesus means to walk in
His ways is our heart.

And Gods standards need to be our standards, but we need to learn and dwell with Him to
fully appreciate what this means. Our consciences and emotions fall into line when we
concentrate and dwell in His word.

So whatever you are trying to say, it does not match with what different people are doing
or saying. I do not judge others, I merely reflect back their approach to me.
My aim is to share the blessing Jesus is, and His way is the way to life.
Once one dwells on Jesus and His word, our hearts change, we repent and resolve things, and
what once seemed a problem becomes something we can do. I feel and see these very realities
happen here, as we explore and consider Jesus, in my heart and in those who are called by
His name. God bless you

Did any of you guys notice in the previous pages that someone has repeatedly placing angry faces on each one of the posts? Their username is quite interesting though ~(something about CC Heretics)...and you can't really access their profile...

For all the naysayers about OSAS, where is your confidence in your personal salvation? How much work do you propose you have to done on a daily basis in order to maintain and keep your personal salvation? Whoo, I'd say you must be very, very tired at the end of a day. The sad part is that with all your works, you still have missed the boat.

were you being honest, loving, and caring when you said this place was " full of old bitter retired people".?

and some of us are here to discuss facts, not emotions.

emotions do not determine what is factual and what is not.
I am 52, retired and happy as hahahahhaha I just cannot stand false dogmas and deception......

it's one person with a half a dozen accounts ((at least)) -- sometimes putting happy faces on dozens of posts, sometimes angry. always in this thread. always dozens at a time, always with similar account names created at same time, always locked profiles so you can't visit them, never with any actual posts. it's been happening for a few months.

it's their idea of trolling; probably someone who had been involved in this thread and got banned.
Exactly.......!!!

Personal salvation?

...For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Ephesians 5:23

I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy. I promised you to one husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to him. But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough. 2 Corinthians 11:2-4

...These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised. God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect. Hebrews 11:39-40

...Anyone who runs ahead and does not continue in the teaching of Christ does not have God; whoever continues in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not take him into your house or welcome him. Anyone who welcomes him shares in his wicked work.

Now there is an old-fashioned word:D

But the shoe does fit.

Has nothing to do with the content of the post I am sure, acts more like a"bot"...someone who is very tech savvy.
Well....call it like I see it..when I can get an angry face from telling Rose my ear is open for her if she needs encouragement....it is not only stupid, but retarded as well......!

This accusation of sinless perfectionist is so old and meaningless, as I have repeatedly said
we need to believe Christ can transform us into people capable of walking in His ways.

Do you believe the sermon on the mount shows us the way to walk with Jesus?
The follows of Jesus do, because put it simply, put this into effect and you build you house
upon a rock.

It strikes me that you must not believe this, as putting it simply, this is what I am standing on.
Paul said simply, we can walk with a clear conscience, holy and acceptable to God.
His prize was the disciples he led to Christ who were walking this way.

It is obvious in Pauls letters yet you seem to deny this.

"FAITH without WORKS is DEAD"
"There is NO SALVATION apart from FAITH"

It clearly has more to do with salvation than "zero" according to the above two Bible verses.
