yeah I am not decided on these things myself

many years back when a child my grandmother called us grandkids out to see something in the sky late at night..we were getting ready for bed but she wanted us to see something. we were up north in the mountains at the country house so it was really dark but the sky was a beautiful map of stars

when we got outside, she pointed to an object in the sky and asked what we thought. she was alone with us up north as everyone else would come up on the week-end

we saw a very bright object climbing up into the sky at about a 45 degree angle...no plane...no flashing lights...and no plane would fly that way anyway. I have never forgot it and actually just mentioned it to my husband the other night when we were talking about this sort of thing

I have no conclusions and have never seen anything similar

anyway, it finally faded off and we went to bed. I guess my grandmother just wanted to make sure she wasn't 'seeing things'

Like I told the made up mind already one.....study the word chariot as applied unto the angel and color code Exekiel's vision of Gor's throne....write out the descriptions of the WHEELS and the living creatures that GO UP IN THE WHEELS......NUMEROUS descriptions in the Psalms and what they do.....

we should humble ourselves and listen to you dictate what God said to you

but of course you wouldn't add to scripture, right?

unless of course you have something to add

you know, you might get attention wherever you are and demand people listen to you and tell them God is going to speak to them through you because you got it straight from the throne room

but I and probably most other people here are not persuaded of your ability to talk on behalf of God, let alone humble ourselves before you and listen up when you speak

so what is fake the handling of snakes or their tongues they speak in or both?

I know about snake handling beliefs and i also know the only difference between you and them is a snake, otherwise the claims about your tongues are same. They use the same scripture verses to support their tongues as you do.

Like i said, you are in a loose - loose situation, whether you dismiss their tongues as fake, accept it as genuine or ignore like you are doing, we already know the answer.

What happened to me and what took place happened one week before my dad was killed....I was 3.5 and my brother who was in a crib in the same room was 6 months old.....the sitter had just closed to door and the entire room lit up and standing in the window was an entity with long flowing blonde hair, massive deep blue eyes and a thin wispy big smile....was looking down at me smiling...I freaked and pulled covers up over my eyes....and then peeked at it....it rolled it's eyes up to my brother who was across the room while still smiling...it had the same glow described by Moses when he seen the back side of God which was emanating from it and lighting the whole room...it then looked back down at me and smiled again in a non threatening way....I freaked again and pulled the covers back over me....and the room went dark...I sat up and looked out the window...it went about 20 feet and flat dissappeard into thin air....the sand where it had stood glowed in a 10 foot circle and slowly subsided......I was full awake, was no dream and for 6 months after mom would find me sleeping in closets, under the dirty laundry, behind the lounge etc and I had no recollection of any of it......I have my view that is was our guarding angel, but cannot say for sure.........it did happen though

believe it or not, the 2nd thing that happened to me was similar but I don't think it was a guardian angel...it was very tall and I woke to it standing over me and staring at me

I screamed and my aunt and grandmother came running...happened up north...I would never be able to sleep again without fear for years

but it would not be uncommon to be afraid of an angel but I don't recall this being being light...it was dark...so..who knows...as a child I seemed to have things happen that were alittle out of the ordinary...who knows why

The ancient alien guys are whack jobs....A good study of the word makes sense of what is being seen by thousands worldwide.....and my view...as we near the end of the age and as the truth gets suppressed and believers sell out the power of evil and the spirtual realm is bleeding over into the physical and being seen

God's Word says we are to ask for and shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. So many do exactly that.
In addition the Word cautions about speaking against the Holy Ghost:

"Verily I say unto you, All sins shall be forgiven unto the sons of men, and blasphemies wherewith soever they shall blaspheme:
But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:
Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit." Mark 3:28-30

I said, the snake handlers also believe in that; they read the scripture about the gifts and ask for the gifts and then receive the gifts and amongst the gifts is speaking in tongues.

Blasphemy is also attributing things to God that are not God's.

I have asked you a question but it seems you are ignoring:
Q. Do you believe the tongues that the snake handlers speak is genuine?

You do know there are like 6 words translated chariot in the O.T....and if you do not have an open mind with the word of God just disregard what I said...it will be a waste of time with your mind already made up!!!!!

I mean we read about horses, warring angels and all kinds of things we might not associate with God

and there is also:

And Elisha prayed, "Open his eyes, LORD, so that he may see." Then the LORD opened the servant's eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. II Kings 6:17

gives me goosebumps but not in a bad way...can you imagine that...horses and chariots of fire...our God is a consuming fire

That is so sad. Emotionally these events frame us is many ways.
They say we recognise people who are similarly framed when we meet them.
My wife and I lost a parent at a similar age and this forms a connection.
We like to think we are not emotional beings but we are what we are.
