Christ was crucified because sinners hate the light and hated Jesus.
Christ did not die because people were self righteous, many were'nt at all and still shouted for His death.
The mania that sin is irrelevant and only selfish self justification dooms people to hell, does not
grasp what sin is and how it works. Sin in all our hearts will always desire to find any way to not
be confronted. You know sinners because they cannot face their sin, repent and do good things to
others. It is always we cannot help it, it is out of our control, we are not responsible.
And these same people hate those who call others to righteousness and love, to actually live it in
their lives, because deep down they know this is impossible so a sugar coated lie.
Except the cross demonstrates this is an actual reality for those who believe Jesus, Amen.
The serpent said to Eve that God lied. Hath God said? The three words that doubt His Word. Is why obedience and belief is interchangeable. No one will step out on His Word if the thought is God can't be trusted to speak truth.
God is not a man that He should lie, nor the son of man that He should repent. Hath He not said, and shall He not do it?

Oh yes you have. The Holy Spirit is given to believers the moment we receive the Lord unto eternal life. The HS is the only way a believe can possibly obey.
The HS comes to abide in the believer at the time of acceptance of the free gift of eternal life. No one can obey the Lord without the power of the HS and one cannot even be a believer unless they believe, love and accept Jesus the Christ.

Once we are born again, we are no longer sinners. In Christ we are the righteousness of God. As we learn of the ways of God through the revelation of Jesus, we love Him more and more. But, even in the beginning, we love Him for God is love and He dwells within us.
You should read your bible and concentrate on who you are rather than what you were. And us too for we are one if part of His body. Much to your surprise?

Eternal life is only given to those who obey and follow Him.

Without accepting obedience and following there is no eternal life in Jesus.

We are to walk like Jesus, to love like Jesus, to know Jesus flowing through us.
