WHERE? It doesnt say that anywhere. In Isaiah it mentions about Jacob. but NT.

Go through the book of Acts, repent repent repent, but it never says of sins.

Now it does say: repentance proven by deeds, no problem there. But repent of sins doesnt work because God also repents in the Bible! God has no sin!

Then again im a KJV kinda guy, no idea what the new versions say!
God doesn't have to repent of sins, we do!

Would you believe the ascended Lord telling you to repent of sins?

Revelation 9:20 The rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the works of their hands. They did not stop worshiping demons and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone, and wood, which cannot see or hear or walk. 21 Furthermore, they did not repent of their murder, sorcery, sexual immorality, and theft.

Revelation 16:11 and cursed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, but they refused to repent of what they had done.

Revelation 16:10 The fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and its kingdom was plunged into darkness. People gnawed their tongues in agony because of their sufferings and because of their sores, but nevertheless they still refused to repent of their deeds.

Nazarene Article 8 from their statement of faith

8. We believe [that repentance, which is a sincere and thorough change of the mind in regard to sin, involving a sense of personal guilt and a voluntary turning away from sin, is demanded of all who have by act or purpose become sinners against God.] [T]the Spirit of God gives to all who will repent the gracious help of penitence of heart and hope of mercy, that they may believe unto pardon and spiritual life. Repentance, which is a sincere and thorough change of the mind in regard to sin, involving a sense of personal guilt and a voluntary turning away from sin, is demanded of all who have by act or purpose become sinners against God.

We believe that all persons may fall from grace and apostatize and, unless they repent of their sins, be hopelessly and eternally lost. We believe that regenerate persons need not return to sin but may live in unbroken fellowship with God through the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit who bears witness with our spirits that we are children of God.
(2 Chronicles 7:14; Psalms 32:5-6; 51:1-17; Isaiah 55:6-7; Jeremiah 3:12-14; Ezekiel 18:30-32; 33:14-16; Mark 1:14-15; Luke 3:1-14; 13:1-5; 18:9-14; Acts 2:38; 3:19; 5:31; 17:30-31; 26:16-18; Romans 2:4; 2 Corinthians 7:8-11; 1 Thessalonians 1:9; 2 Peter 3:9)

In all christian church as reflected by the Prophets, Jesus, the apostles we have to turn away from sin,
put our faith in Christ and walk in His ways.

What is so odd is there are people who call themselves believers doubt this reality.
Jesus saved us from sin and death, not so that we might still be sinful and kill ourselves.
Sin is not some odd little issue, it is the cause of the fall of man, judgement to hell eternal,
the destruction of men and women down through the ages. Only a fool would declare we
are safe to continue in sin and God will bless us. This is exactly what Israel did and they died.

But for some, it appears death is just something to shrug off. All I can say is you have not seen
enough and live to secure a life in dream land, and it is probably too late for you. The problem
with wealth is it makes people lazy and lets their hearts deceive them into saying God would
never send His people to hell, ever. But if they are sinners, evil doers, you never knew Him.

This is the age of apostacy, where there is no fear and people do what is right in their own
eyes, God help them when the hammer drops and the truth is revealed.
That first paragraph sounds like they have Luther's false doctrine.

Wow...I don't think it's the same Bill.

If I tell you you're lost...it's making a judgement on the condition of your soul.

If I say God Help Your Soul....it could mean that one is lost OR it could mean for God to help the person understand better....it's more questionable.
YOU ARE LOST is definite.

Having said that...I didn't follow the posts...
I'm just such a stickler for English...
You got the difference first off. Anyone who stands against the Lords gospel and claims to know Him,
God help their soul, because it is in serious danger. A kingdom cannot be divided against itself.

I remember reading a believer saying, God would never send His people to Hell.

Jesus said people will say "Lord Lord" so they certainly thought He was their saviour but they were
mistaken. The most common failure of people is to believe the best will happen for them, but
those evil people over there will fry. I mean who actually makes themselves feel bad about something
out of choice, it is always easier to say everything will work out in the end.

Jesus told a bleak parable were a servant was chopped up into peices and put with the unbelievers.
Jesus is not soft and nice, only full of grace and favour, He is also a judge and keeper of the eternal
realities, which are absolute and final.

He will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the unbelievers.
Luke 12:46

I used to flinch at these words, and wonder why Jesus said them.
Now I know, the level of hatred, hypocrisy, blasphemy, sin, rebellion expressed with pure arrogance
of status and position, we have been warned and the Lords word will come to pass.
God help those who have nor fear or desire to respond to the Lords conviction of sin.

Could you post the scripture please?
Here it is:

Isaiah 59:20 “The Redeemer will come to Zion, to those in Jacob who repent of their sins,” declares the Lord.

You only needed one, but I give you more:

Luke 17:4 Even if they sin against you seven times in a day and seven times come back to you saying ‘I repent,’ you must forgive them.”

Luke 24:47 and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

Jeremiah 8:6 I have listened attentively, but they do not say what is right. None of them repent of their wickedness, saying, “What have I done?” Each pursues their own course like a horse charging into battle.

Ezekiel 18:30 “Therefore, you Israelites, I will judge each of you according to your own ways, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall.

Acts 8:32 Repent of this wickedness and pray to the Lord in the hope that he may forgive you for having such a thought in your heart.

2 Corinthians 12:21 I am afraid that when I come again my God will humble me before you, and I will be grieved over many who have sinned earlier and have not repented

They are like wolves in sheep clothing.
Well we know you arent a JW now.

WHAT ARE YOU? Sounds like we have ourselves a lone ranger here. The special revelation you got, is that for you only, or are you going to start a new cult? We dont need any new ones, we got plenty already!

Start a tennis team instead. You can go back and forth, be all over the place, but nobodys soul is given a false laundrylist gospel and nobody has to hear about you being sinless while bearing false witness.

I am less interested in that issue, than the wholesale rejection of repentance and walking righteously.
If we are talking to unbelievers, judgement for sin is a more pressing issue than other considerations,

You don't come to Jesus because you hate the world! You come to Jesus because you realize you are a sinner and can't save yourself!
It also has nothing to do with wanting "change". It has to do with wanting your sins forgiven!
You are absolutely clueless.
Hi bud, I know why I came to Christ, because I love Him, and I know He loved me first.
And why would I want saving? Saving from what? The world and its way of doing things.

And as a sinner, being a slave to bad behaviour and hurting others is sickening.
Paul describes he desired to do good things, yet he found himself doing bad things.
I know this struggle, and it is very annoying. You know only a small part of oneself and the
rest is a mystery.

Guilt for sin is a real burden, because one knows you have hurt others and you want to sort
it out. Jesus provides an answer through the cross and forgiveness and communion with Him.

I can testify there is nothing greater than this, Praise the Lord, He is the saviour of all who
are prepared to call on Him and follow His ways. And His ways are the ways of life and true
eternal freedom. So many talk like it is a burden. No we are the burden and we are the ones
who fight and refuse to move, even when the issues are best the way of Jesus.

God bless you, and thankyou for encouraging me to testify to Gods work in my life, Amen
thank you Jesus.

He didn't know them because they were LAWLESS....
Not how YOU mean it...that they weren't born again.

Where in that whole passage is the idea of being born again even brought up??
NOWHERE!

Mathew 7:13-23

The Narrow and Wide Gates

13“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it.
New American Standard Bible
14“For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

A Tree and Its Fruit

15“Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves.
16“You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they?
17“So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit.
18“A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit.
19“Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
20“So then, you will know them by their fruits.

21“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.
22“Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’
23“And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’

Nowhere in the above verses is being born again even mentioned.
Jesus only mentioned this 3 or 4 times.

He DID, instead, speak of good works/deeds and being lawful and obeying God.

It would be good for everyone to understand this....
You are a deceiver Fran...it means exactly what it meant...they were never saved and then lost it...that is your embellishment just like the word NOT in the garden.....and you have no honesty or integrity.....and very very deceitful....!! Did you repent for lying openly when I asked if you had been banned before and said No..........

Not gonna give you too many more chances to come clean.....you are deceiving the whole site!!!!!

We have to grow.

2 Peter 1:3 His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

5 For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. 8For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.

10 Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble, 11 and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
So we have to, or our father will kick us out? Come on, Tell us what kind of God you think we have

Except that you do not teach anything in the Bible and this is more than evident.

Since you have been preaching your doctrine here,

the one thing that comes through loud and clear is that you nullify the work of the

cross, put the work of Jesus to open shame by teaching His work was not sufficient to save and replace it with your work
( cleverly renamed obedience).

How does a deceiver treat others? In the way their hearts know so well, no honesty or integrity, and
very, very deceitful, using emblellishment just like the word not in the garden, so you need to look
in the mirror and find only your own words describing yourself that you know so well.

People need to learn the difference between justification (by faith) and sanctification (Christian growth)

This thread is about how one is saved, Not how the saved mature in christ by allowing God to work in them to grow them to become christlike.
People need to learn unless you believe you need to follow and obey you do not have salvation at all.
This thread is about two groups, one like yourself who believe others are evil and us, who just want to
testify to the power of the cross in our lives because we know God has transformed us.
