You don't understand that scripture. That scripture PROVES your doctrine wrong.

That scripture is John saying to those who claim to be saved that if, they NEVER admitted to having sins, then they were never saved in the first place, because getting saved requires one admit to being a sinner, AND THEN REPENTING OF THOSE SINS.

I'm pretty sure his intent was not to suggest he has "altogether stopped sinning"/"ceased sinning altogether"... just that he has indeed "stopped" on occasion, at times, in some areas... (or the like).
