I don't know what the problem could possibly be in saying that we must obey God.
We are saved by all that you describe above.
Once we're saved and are no longer like the rest of the world that does NOT obey God, then precisely because we are Christian are we required to obey.

Here is some scripture....there's much, much more.
Is the N.T. wrong?? Precisely BECAUSE Jesus has all authority should we obey Him.

I find John 5:28-29 to be very clear in what Jesus taught...we WILL be judged by our works...

John 5:28-29
"Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, and will come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment.

Galatians 6:9-10
Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary. So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.

Matthew 5:38-48
"You have heard that it was said, 'AN EYE FOR AN EYE, AND A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH.' "But I say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. "If anyone wants to sue you and take your shirt, let him have your coat also.

Luke 6:27-36
"But I say to you who hear, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. "Whoever hits you on the cheek, offer him the other also; and whoever takes away your coat, do not withhold your shirt from him either.

1 Peter 3:8-13
To sum up, all of you be harmonious, sympathetic, brotherly, kindhearted, and humble in spirit; not returning evil for evil or insult for insult, but giving a blessing instead; for you were called for the very purpose that you might inherit a blessing. For, "THE ONE WHO DESIRES LIFE, TO LOVE AND SEE GOOD DAYS, MUST KEEP HIS TONGUE FROM EVIL AND HIS LIPS FROM SPEAKING DECEIT.

Hebrews 13:16
And do not neglect doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

1 Peter 2:20
For what credit is there if, when you sin and are harshly treated, you endure it with patience? But if when you do what is right and suffer for it you patiently endure it, this finds favor with God.

1 Peter 3:17
For it is better, if God should will it so, that you suffer for doing what is right rather than for doing what is wrong.

Luke 6:35
"But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men.

Romans 2:5-11
But because of your stubbornness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God, who WILL RENDER TO EACH PERSON ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS: to those who by perseverance in doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, eternal life;

1 Timothy 6:17-19
Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy. Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is life indeed.

2 Timothy 2:20-21
Now in a large house there are not only gold and silver vessels, but also vessels of wood and of earthenware, and some to honor and some to dishonor. Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.

James 2:14-21
What use is it, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but he has no works? Can that faith save him? If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and be filled," and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?

James 3:13
Who among you is wise and understanding? Let him show by his good behavior his deeds in the gentleness of wisdom.

2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed;

Philippians 2:12-13
So then, my beloved, just as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who is at work in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.

Colossians 1:10-12
so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience; joyously giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us to share in the inheritance of the saints in Light.

Ephesians 2:10
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

2 Timothy 2:21
Therefore, if anyone cleanses himself from these things, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, prepared for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:16-17
All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

1 Peter 2:13-15
Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every human institution, whether to a king as the one in authority, or to governors as sent by him for the punishment of evildoers and the praise of those who do right. For such is the will of God that by doing right you may silence the ignorance

Matthew 7:24-27 King James Version (KJV)
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Exactly....what happened to the person that HEARD and DID what Jesus taught?
"25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock."

And what happened to the person that did NOT heed Jesus' words:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

John 1:22-25 Don't only hear the word...but DO what it says.

So, we need to hear the Word of God and do it! But, remember we can't do it without the Holy Spirit. Otherwise, we're just doing good works according to the flesh which is sand. We want to do works that are according to the Father's Will, which require His Word and His Spirit.

Of course.

Well, I wrote a long post. I hope you read it. I hope someone reads it........lol! :giggle: I know I often jump over long posts......lol! :giggle:

I don't jump over them. It means the person has something to say.

So you don't believe we are to die to the sins of the world? You don't know the scriptures that say we are to do that?
Have you?

I get the impression, from reading many of your posts, that you are just another self-righteous hypocrite who loves to hear his own pious platitudes.

Tell me: How many sins were not paid for by Christ? How many sins are attributed to us?

No compassion unlike Jesus.

the Nazarene church is a very good church...in every respect.
I'm sorry there isn't one near me....no church near me!
i'd go in a flash!

How the heck can we change our mind about sins, and turn from them, BEFORE we are born again!!

You have to come to Christ with the understanding that YOU CAN'T turn from your sins and that's why you MUST have Him!

Trying to make yourself clean, with a NEW heart, to be right before God is EXACTLY what the Pharisees tried to do.
Can't you see that?
Exactly!!

Being born again is a change of mind towards God, being persuaded (faith) we cannot earn our salvation by our works.
It is when striving ceases and one acknowledges and is persuaded of the complete work Jesus did on our behalf.

To repent "metanoia" is a change of mind (classical sense of mind) towards God being again fully persuaded of what He did and trusting Him for the gift of salvation.

This view is false and not of God
We have the Bible and it is finished.
To search for God is to get Jesus' teachings in the New Testament.
To find God is to obey Jesus' teachings.

There are too many denominations and we are not supposed to search for the best denomination!

All sins are attributed to the one that commits them.

You really need to read the N.T.

Galatians 5:19-21
19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery;20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

If you notice, it says nothing about being born again,,,it just speaks about a lifestyle.
And if you read ALL the epistles of Paul,,,you'll find that he repeats this in each one.

He learned from Jesus,,,BTW.

You actually have similar beliefs as the Catholic Church so you really have not gone far from them

Anyone who does not believe what scripture plainly teaches in salvation apart from works, by grace alone through faith alone as an

irrevocable, permanent gift, given not earned, has one foot in Catholicism and has adopted a false narrative.
I preach against the teachings of the Catholic church.
What you say about me is just not truth.

Woe. UG do you know what Paul said, that I quoted here recently

I preached that they should repent and turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds
Acts 26:20

It appears you preach a different gospel to Paul if you hold this line, which would make you
a false teacher if you do.
Not likely friend....the gospel is one place I am absolutely, perfectly clear.

And you know why, because of all the false teachers and their subtle little changes like "turn from sin and be saved"
My eyes are opened my eyes to all the falseness out there.

All of them...as long as we're sorry for them.

Our sins ARE imputed to us.
But so is Jesus' righteousness....
IF we ask forgiveness.
I know that to some this is considered a work....
The N.T. does not consider this a work.
John 20:23

Except the blaspheming of the Holy Spirit....

Please dear Budman, can you accuse me of piety, desiring after Gods righteousness and Holiness,
being meek, poor in Spirit, mourning, merciful, pure in heart, a peacemaker following Jesus, because
if it is wrong to these things, please say I am this wrong, because God will bless me eternally in heaven.

I poke fun, but this is Jesus's heart that we walk like Him and walk like this, so it is a proud day that
we might be recognised to have achieved such a thing is some manner no matter how small, Amen.

A change of mind towards God? Most people never ever heard of God and Jesus in the New Testament times. How is what you say truthful? We are to change our mind about sins.

A believers sins are NOT imputed to us, they were imputed to Christ. He became sin for us. He was cursed for us.

If you have even a single sin that wasn't paid for through the blood of Jesus, you are lost and on your way to hell. The Bible says without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sins. The Bible also says Jesus is NOT coming back to shed more blood for sins. Either ALL sins have been forgiven, or NONE of them have.

My eyes are opened my eyes to all the falseness out there.
And if I say to the wicked man, 'You will surely die,' but he then turns away from his sin and does what is just and right-
if he gives back what he took in pledge for a loan, returns what he has stolen, follows the decrees that give life, and does no evil, he will surely live; he will not die.
None of the sins he has committed will be remembered against him. He has done what is just and right; he will surely live.
Ezekiel 33:14-16

Here is a wicked man turning from his sin and being saved from death and judgement.
This is a biblical principle and truth.

You have believed something that is not the gospel if you deny this passage. Gods word
is true not what some teacher has taught you.
