I again ask this from my cessationist friends: HOW can you be led by God TODAY? the BIBLE cannot tell you: Where to live, where to move, what job to take, if you should get married, who you should get married with, what ministry (IF ANY) you are called to, etc. etc.

The Bible is there as a STANDARD, profitable for doctrine reproof correction etc. But the Bible is NOT THERE to tell you where to live TODAY; you know why? Because the Bible doesn't contain that information, and this is because the answers to these questions are DIFFERENT for every person, so its IMPOSSIBLE for that information to be in the Bible, since the Bible is a REVELATION of God to EVERYONE.

To some, they might be called to mop the floors, to some, they might be called to be an evangelist. <- This is DIFFERENT for each people.

YOU need to hear from God TODAY. PERSONALLY.

This is NOT to demean the Bible, its COMPLETELY biblical to hear from God. Just to put things in their proper context, for most of church history, no regular joe had the Scriptures and couldnt even read. People were still saved because the Holy Spirit was working, God sent the Holy Spirit!

God telling people to mop floors?!! There are Muslim/Atheists/Hindu floor mopers, i guess to you these can't get the floor clean because Jesus was not involved.

Cessation is observable; Are there people today that can physically raise the dead?

I understand how you would think this CS1, but wolfwint and I really are friends and brothers, despite our views on this matter being poles apart.

He is a good brother who loves the Lord. The points we differ on aren’t ‘heilsentscheidend’ - our salvation doesn’t depend on them.

Actually the Deuteronomy 4 warning is different than the warning at the end of God bringing new revelations as His personal interpretation . The last Book Revelation. It is now sealed up till the end of time with the appropriate warning do not add to this book the whole Bible or book of prophecy.

The Deuteronomy 4 warning is in respect to one word .Change the meaning of one word it could affect the authors intent .

Every answer that could come is respect to the eternal things not seen can be applied. There is no question that goes beyond or rises above that which is written. The bible is not outdated. Those who look to widen the authority of all things written in the law and the prophets simple have another agenda, another gospel, another Christ

His work was doing the will of the father who sent him and finished it. It is finished.

Without him we can do nothing .There is no greater work than the work of God that works in us than that can and do believe in God not seen.

It is Christ in us and not of us that does work with us in us to both will and do His good pleasure. (Philippians 2:12-14) .He I believe informs us in verse 14 we should not murmur as if he will forget the good works we offered towards His name . Hebrews 6 we are informed he will not forget to remember it is one of the better things that accompany salvation

The greater was the number; "3000 born again in the twinkling of the eye" .The Holy Spirit limited the representative glory of the coming true glory of the Lord that will light the new creation there will be no more darkness no need of the Sun and Moon.

Christ it would seem did not want men to think he as supernatural is a man as us natural man .God has no nature. It is why the Son of man Jesus in respect to that seen his flesh said why call me Good Master only God not seen is good . He alone dwells in the Holy unseen places our source of faith. We are not to give that glory to the flesh as did the unbelieving Jew.

I would think the church is used as a representative glory it can be part of the great commission to bring the gospel out unto the world to work to plant the seed and water it with the doctrines of God . Christ the Holy Spirit of God can cause the growth and hfinish his work till the end.

Jesus was a natural man yet without sin. God does indeed have a nature: divinity.

Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse.

Divine nature is God's divine power. It in its oneself as the power of God has no beginning of days. The Spirit of God as the Son of God remains without mother or father beginning of spirit life or end thereof. .God himself has no beginning, a nature. Its when men try to make him into a man (clay) turning things upside down and men walk by sight hoping to glory in the flesh that Christ said cannot, does profit as if it was spirit ..

Devine "to make out by supernatural insight. Supernatural without nature a beginning.

A divine representation of a nature or beginning have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. God who has no form (nature) defines what is good by Him not seen . he is not made of the things seen .Impossible

You claimed "God has no nature." Scripture says otherwise. You even admit it in your opening sentence above.

For once, just admit your error and be done.

HI Kohelet, I'm sure wolf went is a good brother to you. I would say mocking the gifts of the Holy Spirit is not wise. Even if one thinks they are done away with today which I do not agree with, the word of God still says they are the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, so why would you want to mock it? That is not different than one who is making up a gift or use it to make money. That makes one hypocrite and very close to blasphemy. Both are equally wrong. Those who would misuse, or pervert the gifts and those who mock them. The word of God speaks of these things, a Christian should be more mindful of the Holy Spirit in the word of God and speak more reverently about HIM. The Holy Spirit is God or that gone away with too?

He does have have a beginning *nature" he creates them. God is not an man as us never was never could be.
