Your anger and personal insult(s) are easily understood. You're simply embarrassed because you yourself have unwittingly proved the point of those on this thread that have consistently proclaimed the futility of communicating in the absence of understanding. One without the other is a fruitless venture.
And that's not my point, i'm saying there's no other way of loving God who you do not see other than loving one another. ALL commandments is fulfilled in loving thy neighbor- ALL.

1cor 13 the whole context is love being the motivation of operating the Gifts of God, not for self. They are to be used for the betterment of all AS 1cor chapter 12 states. You need to learn what a Unit Chapter is. 1cor 11 to 14 are unit chapters, you were shown this before. I would remember what the word of God says what Love is.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love for the word of God does not remove or make false statements of no longer done or it has been done away with. God out of HIS Love has preserved the gifts of the Holy Spirit for us today. We just need to use them for His Glory and in the love of others.
I agree with you 100% and knowing that no gift is for self edification, tongues can not be for self edification. My point all along

When it is said 'love is about others and not self' does Jude reverse that and say love is about self?
I agree... if you are discussing whether to follow the Mosaic law or not, Galatians 5:13 and Romans 13:8 make it clear that the law is fulfilled in the one command.
However, you are trying to build an argument that "love your neighbor as yourself" can be used against "the one who speaks in a tongue edifies himself". You are about to engage in the fallacy of equivocation. Save yourself the trouble; it's an invalid argument.
Read it in the Greek, then read 1 Cor 14:4 in the Greek. It's the same root word, and the same concept.
I'm not the one equating, that's exactly what Paul is teaching concerning tongues:
1 Cor 12:7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by the same Spirit, 9to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in various tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.

Self edification was the problem at Corinth. There's no love in self edification and where there's no love, there's no God.
If people must learn Greek to understand the scripture then the gift of tongues must have a been a waste of time (God forbid).
again you do not understand, it was Jesus who said they the "apostles" do greater and again you do not know the Greek word for "greater" which is NOT greater as in Superior but in the context of doing far more Through empowered Church. that's it. stop reading into the text.
