When looking to the spiritual understanding of those metaphors used in those parable like earthquake and feet . We given the understanding that feet represent the gospel .God who is not a man as us has not literal feet . and earthquake is used to represent the first resurrection when the Old testament saints entered the new Jerusalem as the city prepared as His bride that he named Christians..
The problem with the metaphor approach is that one can nicely twist the Scriptures to say wherever their imagination takes them.

Dino posts a Bible address:
Galatians 5:19-21.
And you reply with this? In caps, no less?
GET THEE BEHIND ME SATAN WITH YOUR TWISTED LIES AND VAIN BABBLINGS.
I am extremely concerned for your mental health. And for your salvaton! You have no kindness, love, forgiveness. You exhibit no fruit of the Holy Spirit. (Gal 5:22-23 - which directly follows Dino's verse above!

You are raging mad, which is actually referenced in Dino's verse above. God can help you, but you need to acknowledge your sin against your brothers and sisters, and repent of it. Praying you can turn your life over to God, and be transformed by the Holy Spirit! (Romans 12:1-2; 2 Cor. 3:18)

And for your reference, since you don't know the Bible well, and you need to learn why Christ came to save us, here are the verses you fail to understand. Please note that in this sin list, all sins are equal. So, outbursts of anger, like you display, is the same to God as sexual immorality, idolatry, sorcery, murder, drunkenness, etc.

"Now the works of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, depravity, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish rivalries, dissensions, factions, 21 envying, murder, drunkenness, carousing, and similar things. I am warning you, as I had warned you before: Those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God!

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law." Gal. 5:19-23

Try working on the last 2 verses. God took me on a program to learn to manifest those fruits, when I was first saved. I still stumble at times, but nothing compared to my unsaved self, 38 1/2 years ago!

Wow! You really don't know the Bible at all. Gal 5:19-21 is a big sin list. It might behoove you to take a look at it. Either with a paper Bible, or at Biblegateway.com. And you don't even have to know Greek, to understand it.

I see you have been around this forum almost as long as me, but hardly posted. So, what triggered all this recent rage?
Oh I know what it says but it has nothing to do with the Sea of Galilee. It's what you guys with the minds of pharisees do, you don't want to hear about how you are prerpared to worship a fake Jesus when he comes and the the real Jesus will say I never knew you.

Luk 11:53 And as he said these things unto them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to urge him vehemently, and to provoke him to speak of many things:
Luk 11:54 Laying wait for him, and seeking to catch something out of his mouth, that they might accuse him.

Thats a very ignorant thought to think, for if you believe the scriptures the scriptures are all about Christ then it goes beyond imagination. If you think that these #s could be made up then you will not comprehend, much less heed to, any warnings.

My undergrad degree is in physical geography. Earthquakes were a big part of my studies.

The Jordan Valley is a Rift Valley, where the plates are being pulled apart. It is the northern part of the Great African Rift Valley.

Rift Valleys are characterized by plate movement, ie, earthquakes. These are usually in small increments, but if the boundaries get stuck, fewer earthquakes, or lesser magnitude will result. (Although my search led my to 100's of earthquakes recently near the Sea of Galilee!)

Small earthquakes relieve the pressure in active fault zones. Major ones do too, of course, but they also cause more damage.

My point? Lots of seismic activity has been going on in Israel for millennia. To try and say an earthquake in a fault zone is indicative of the return of Jesus is truly ludicrous.

Now, back to our regularly scheduled dispensationalist rants!
Nothing to add to the convo but hey sister Angela!! I was thinking about you yesterday and thought I hadn't see you in a while. Hope you are doing well!!

Be careful you do not find your rigid, angry and self righteous self on the wrong side of that Pharisee divide. What you call others is often a reflection of what you are yourself.

Sloppy work again, I didn't do this all on my own, besides it's out of context.

Yes,yes we are. Anyone else care to have a convo about the weather? Sports? Anything? Because this thread is going no where fast.

Numbers 11:16-17 The Lord said to Moses: “Bring me seventy of Israel’s elders who are known to you as leaders and officials among the people. Have them come to the tent of meeting, that they may stand there with you. I will come down and speak with you there, and I will take some of the power of the Spirit that is on you and put it on them. They will share the burden of the people with you so that you will not have to carry it alone.

Thats interesting about the earthquakes thanks for posting. Am just going to ignore all the tit for tat as haven no idea what thats on about, nothing to do with the topic...I just dont have time for that nonsense.

In nz we do have earthquakes from time to time, there have been recent ones in Kaikoura and the last big one in Christchurch which my brother was there that day but thankfully he could escape...but even now they are still trying to rebuild the city..their famous cathedral completely collapsed.

You will never know what complete devatsation an earthquake can cause unless you been in one. Only a minute or so and everything manmade is shaken, what you could have built for many years could come crumbling down just like that, if you dont have the right foundation. And they cannot be predicted when they will come. Who could cause an earthquake but God almighty? Insurance people say they are 'an act of God'

Nobody wants to be judged and found wanting.,.but after an earthquake...everyone realises there is a God. As people went about rescuing one another miracle after miracle can happen..those that survive are absolutely thankful.

In revelation it does mention about earthquakes in chapter 11
Jesus mentioned earthquakes as well as pestilence and famine, warning Jerusalem that it would come. How does anyone think the temple that Herod had built, which was abosolutely ginormous, got destroyed. Why did Jesus tell people living in Judea to flee. Sure there were armies encompassing Jerusalem. But even a full man made assualt on a city isnt quite the same as an earthquake. In 9/11 twin towers got destroyed by a high jacked plane by terrorists, and thats a tragedy, but NYC is still there, it wasnt shaken to its knees. It didnt cause such severe damage that an earthquake can of such magnitude.

Note in revelation the angels pour out their vials and they are all full of woes. Plagues and hail and earthquakes and such. Its one thing for humans to fight and argue with each other, givng each other a hard time its another thing when one encounters the wrath of God. You cannot fight an earthquake, flood, tsunami, hail, tornado. If you think you can stop those things well good luck.

Just a thought.....I was having an issue with a few joints in the fingers and started taking an oz. a day of colloidal silver (NOT SILVER NITRATE WHICH TURNS PEOPLE BLUE) I make the colloidal silver myself with a gallon of distilled water and two troy oz. silver dollars.....easy to make....drink an oz.. a day and withing a few weeks my knuckles quit hurting and I could pop my knuckles again and they have not hurt in years now......Arthritis is an infection as you know......and colloidal silver kills over 500 known pathogens in less than 5 minutes.....a friend of mine had a tumor the size of a softball in the middle of his back and he made some of the silver and started injecting the tumor....in less than 6 months the tumor was gone.....I researched it before I tried it and it seems that many ancient cultures utilized it for various reasons.....to sweeten wells, keep milk from curdling, cure diseases, kills mold and fungus etc......I have been taking it for years are I rarely get sick and when if I do I get over it rather quickly......I have been told that science calls it the magic bullet and the reason we do not hear about it is because it is a mineral and cannot be patented......It really does work.....
